I get turned on writing them. Well, thinking of them first, but some never get written because I forget the urgency of the sex by the time I put finger to keyboard and so the story just doesn't seem the same as I remember it. They get binned.
I rarely get aroused reading stories, but sometimes I do.

Well, I am absolutely amazed at my name being in lights. Thank you to everyone that read, commented and voted on the story and a big massive thank you to the judges for placing my story in third place.
A great job all round to all the winners and to everyone that entered. It was a strange competition and I found it hard to write horror when I knew what I was going to write. I have received many emails from some of you citing some of my work as inspirational.
That has also blown me away. So thank you so very much.
And it was an all Brit lineup on the podium. Thank's Nicola for an entertaining theme to a competition. It really stretched the imagination.
What can I say!
Well, I would really like to thank the Bad Martha Brewery company, for providing some inspirational words (part of which found themselves into the title) and for some inspirational spirits (all of which found themselves inside me). What a great Pub just outside Falmouth on Cape Cod. ALso thanks to Martha's Vineyard where it was set.

I have hit some good patches and some bad ones. At one point I was churning the stories over and had a good batch lined up ready to go. Then I hit a bit of a wall. I wake up in the morning and a story comes to me, I have no problem thinking the scene and scenario through. In the evening when I want to write it up, its completely gone. Nothing remains. An inkling is there that reminds me I thought of it, but I cannot bring the detailed memories back and I can't be bothered to force it.
Some would say - all my stories are like that?! Ho-Hum.
It's probably because they are just stories and there is no real basis in reality. I find stories that are half true, easier to write. I shan't be delving into TENTACLE sex as no-one I know has any. Not on an intellectual level anyway. Though I have been known to be a sucker on occasion -

As all you guys say, it's the danger of repetition in describing sex scenes that is the bugbear. I'll just have to try harder and maybe replace my bonnets with tentacles...
