Part 1: Dinner at HIS favourite restaurant My eyes focus on his hand, how he holds the pearl between his fingers. They follow it as he brings it to his lips, curling his fingers around the tiny sphere as he gently blows on it. “Ooohh,” escapes my lips. His hand rests beside his plate. It sits quietly in his palm. I desperately want it back. It used to be mine, after all. But now, in this moment, I’m happy to offer it to h...

The Night before the Awards Faye Evans, an A-List actress, was mingling with producers, directors, and other actors in the VIP area of Bar Ocean, the trendy hangout of the top stars. She accepted a tall flute of champers from a waiter and sipped it while discussing potential winners at tomorrow’s awards ceremony. She was being heavily tipped for her role as a female lawyer fighting for woman’s rights. Faye was far too bus...

Chapter 1 Diana was not the most physically attractive of girls. A little over five-foot with dirty blonde hair, she weighed around twelve stone but was considerably flat in the breast department. But she had a loving personality and was greatly loved by her father. Her mother had left many years before but, sadly, her father died when Diana was only twenty-three. He left her a large sum of money and it was about a month...

What an invitation Harrison cycled the familiar streets, never varying in the last five years his route. He still enjoyed delivering the papers even at eighteen, the round had allowed him to save for college and he would genuinely miss the customers. especially the Roger's house. Of all his stops, he enjoyed delivering to one particular house: the couple were not only good tippers but Mrs Rogers usually paid and she was i...

As a fly on the wall, watch how Josh follows Louise’s instructions. Coffee Shop Louise watched Josh arrive in the coffee shop. He wore washed-out blue jeans, well-used running shoes, and a worn, faded ‘green lantern’ T-shirt. There was nothing remarkable about him. In fact, no one else seemed to notice that he’d actually entered the half-empty shop. She sipped her coffee, leaving red lipstick on the white plastic as he to...

The setup Kim had worked the plan well: she’d left the earring and Jess had found it. Jess knew she was to question her husband about who he’d been sleeping with but Keith refused to tell her. It was a mistake, he’d said, and begged her to come back… Keith phoned Kim on her mobile and Matt grabbed her arm as she looked at the caller ID. “Lead him on, tell him it’s over between him and Jess and that he’s better off without...

Nicole and Alan Nicole and Nora were close friends and members of the group of Lyndhurst Village wives who always got together when their husbands went off on fishing weekends. On this first afternoon after the men had left, Nora phoned Nicola to finalise arrangements for meeting at Ella’s house that night. The plans had been made days earlier and the two friends had talked about them only yesterday. But, right now, Nicol...

The weeks that followed Matt had been having a great time not only because sex with his wife was fantastic but mainly due to the fact he was also bedding Jess, her gorgeous sister. When Kim went out the front door, Jess would sneak in the back door. Kim had struggled with her new sex drive. The humiliation of offering herself to him, needing him, was puzzling — and torture. The cheating plan Matt sat in the living room re...

Matt was aware during dinner that Kim was desperate to pull him over the table and make love to him. She really wanted her sister to leave and for them to be hard at it before Jess had even reached home. She’d never desired anyone so much. As Matt finished his dinner, he was also aware that Jess had something to tell him and that she wanted to be alone with him. “Did you enjoy it, dear?” his wife asked as he relaxed back...

Matt drove to his local pub, parked at the back, and entered through the side entrance. Sitting at the bar, a cold beer quenched his thirst and also steadied his pumping adrenalin. He replayed what had just happened in his house, thinking how in control he’d been, maybe for the first time in his marriage. He unconsciously smiled as he thought about Roger running from his pleading wife, his self-confidence shattered. And t...

I’m looking for Agbagwa Matt knocked on the door to room 413. He was about to tap again when a pretty woman in a bathrobe abruptly answered. Blonde and in her early twenties with a pale complexion, she looked at him and raised her eyebrows in a ‘What is it?’ response. “I’m looking for Agbagwa,” Matt stuttered before again checking the brass number on the door. “Who shall I say is calling?” “Tell him my name is Matt Rogers...

First day Peter parked the car around the corner from the school and turned to Peter Junior sitting in the back seat with his mother, Debbie. “Look, son, your first day will be a breeze, I promise,” he said. “You have the family trait and, if you use it as I showed you — and sparingly — everything will go all right. Okay?” The boy nodded and Debbie licked her finger before rubbing a mark on his cheek. “For god's sake, Deb...

How did I get here? Carol couldn’t believe she was acting this way. She knew that men admired her and she was more than confident about her body and looks — but she’d always been reserved with men and about sex. Yet, somehow, this black man was different from anyone she’d met and Carol continued kissing and caressing him. Although not attracted to him, she found it impossible to resist him. It seemed her body and mind bel...

Back at the room Sophie was still pleading with Ian to take her back. “Please, I need you,” she cried. “It’s over, Sophie. You were just a bit of fun, something my wife wasn’t.” “I can be that again. I don’t mind being the other woman. I won’t ask you for anything other than sex.” “Sophie, I want my wife. You need to accept that I don’t want you anymore.” Agbagwa saw her perfect little face drop and her beautiful blue eye...

Again “Again.” “What do you mean ‘again?' It’s been over four weeks since you saw them last.” Gerard Hope and his wife Liz — or Elizabeth, if her mum and dad were around — debated the monthly topic of ‘You don’t care about my mom and dad.’ Following their marriage thirty months ago, this had been the way of it. Gerard tried his best to avoid the dragon mother-in-law Isabelle and her pretentious husband Arthur, making excu...
