I'd switch exercise regimes. Walking is great but you'll get a much better effect from numerous other exercises. Try cycling or swimming for something that's easier on the body. I'd also suggest light weight work or those giant rubber band things. Just ease back into it and take your time.
If you really want to walk get fitted for good quality shoes, it may help.

Never understand why people want to start their day by putting a noose around their neck. I'm expected to wear a tie for work but almost never do, maybe if the CEO is coming or for an important corporate event. Even then the odds are 50/50 and I don't think I've ever worn a tie for an entire work day. I've probably worn a tie around my head (like a Rambo head band) about as often as I've worn a tie around my neck. I won't comment on their useful for the bedroom.

I like a mixture of both, tbh. I follow certain authors because most of the time, you know what you'll get if you've read enough of their work. You know to expect in terms of style and quality.
However, I do like to be surprised sometimes and it's great when an author tries something new, or I stumble across a newly published member to this site and it's fresh and of great quality.
I think it's a good exercise to change up a style or play around with themes, etc. It can be a good challenge in finding what works for you and how to write in new and different ways. There are also the added benefits of potentially bringing in new readers and followers.
I agree with Laura. I never read a story based on what I expect but I frequently return to authors who I've read before and found their writing to be of excellent quality. Many of the best writers here have impressed the hell out of me by being unpredictable or writing something that was different from their other work be it style or genre.

Other than showering regularly, brushing my teeth and assorted other personal hygiene practices can't say as I do anything special. Since I'm not married sex is more likely to be spontaneous. If I'm going on a date I'd be a touch more scrupulous and always brush my teeth at the last possible minute. Curious what others have to say about it.
