I was thinking in personal details, there is a area for relationship status.
I don’t see anything other then being owned, owning someone, collared, or being a slut , or single. So I was thinking maybe add...Tease, or flirt for the people on here who think of themselves as that for a status.

They’re not really types of relationship status though, are they?

I don't have anyone to talk to on here, so fiill up that inbox!

Maybe fill out your profile page so people can find out a bit more about you?
I've got more bottles of ink than you can shake a stick at. I started off buying bottles of Diamine as it's fairly inexpensive and flows well through a pen due to it being on the thinner side. However, as you venture deeper down the rabbit hole some amazing (and expensive) options open up to you. Sheening inks are the bane of my bank balance because they're just so damn gorgeous.

Diamine made a special edition ink exclusively for a German retailer which I managed to get a bottle of called Skull & Roses. Holy flimflam it looks good! You have to use them on higher-end sheen-friendly paper stock like Rhodia, Clairefontaine, or Tomoe River but it's worth it.

I also collected a whole series of inks by Organics Studio which are out of this world. They made a range called Elements of which 'Nitrogen Royal Blue' is my favourite. It's quite hard to get a hold of now and even more tricky to make work in your pen due to the huge volume of pigment in it, but if you dilute it down a touch with water it works beautifully.

If you don't mind throwing circa £20 at a bottle of ink then you can opt for something delicious like J. Herbin's 1670 Emerald of Chivor in a classy hand-dipped wax-sealed glass bottle. Again, it's a little on the thick side but this time because of the tiny flecks of gold.

Sprite: "I think he meant tattoos."

Me: "Oh."

I haven't got any but I like them as long as they are done really well.

Can someone explain where this came from?

Your mind.

Brutal AF. Ricky killed it as he always does.

I love his care-free attitude to comedy - speak the truth and burn it to the ground.

Step out into the real world, some time, and perhaps you would understand. I have never cared who might see me on this site, because I could always question what they were doing here as well. However, there are companies out there who value their reputations to the point that it might tarnish that reputation for someone in such position to be found on a site such as Lush. That said, we were able to work things out and I returned to Lush. It would be nice to be met with empathy towards what happens in the real world, as opposed to those denizens of Lush that seem to only exist in Fantasyland.

You kinda missed my point. Outside of your working hours, your time is your own. An employer cannot tell you what websites you are allowed to visit, what organisations or communities you are allowed to be a member of, what kind of pornography you are allowed to watch at home. The very idea is bordering on the Orwellian.

All was fine, until about 3 months ago, when my membership here was brought to bear at my place of employment. A person, in my position in the company, that was found to have an account here was deemed an serious offense and I was given a choice. Loving my job and what I get to do there, forced me to make the decision to end my association with Lush. I was going to deactivate my account, should I ever leave the company where I was employed and so that Lushies could still read my stories, if they so desired. My attorney advised me to delete the account, which I did. This of course, wiped my slate clean for the second time. Jump ahead 6 months and a end of year conversation with my manager who happens to be an officer of the company, brought a discussion of my involvement of Lush. After her investigating Lush and finding that it was a site devoted to creativity, if even in the erotica field, would not harm my employ at the company as long as I kept the company name and any association with said company out of my discussions or stories here.

Is this a wind-up?

What sort of company conducts investigations into the websites its employees are visitors of and dictates the actions of its employees in their own free time under the threat of having their employment terminated?

And what sort of attorney would advise a client to concede to those demands?

this is Jen we're talking about. she doesn't need a reason to drink. (pretty sure i drive her to drink constantly anyways).

We went on a night out once and she got absolutely plastered. Had to carry her back to the bus stop. On the way home, she jumped up out of her chair and started circling something on the floor.

"I hate hedgehogs! Come at me, ya wee jabby bastard!"

It was a hair brush.
That happens when either the site couldn't load the image from wherever it is hosted or you have entered an invalid link.

If you can provide an example I could check this for you.
Can I nominate Jen for having a really nice arse?

Nicola: "No."

Okay.
Start wearing a stick-on Groucho Marx moustache from the fancy dress shop.

If she still doesn't say anything, book her an eye test at the opticians.

Thing is, they're not extras. That's a single blank line between the paragraphs. It's just that wide. ( Actually, there is one double at the beginning. Not sure where it came from )

If I backspace between paragraphs, it becomes a wall of text. If I hit return after that, it creates the same wide space. So, I can't fix it in the editor. I'm going to have to copy it from the editor, paste it into Word, fix it there, and replace the entire text to eliminate it. I've tested with a few paragraph chunks, and that does indeed work.

Guess I don't really have any choice. I don't relish the idea of going through the process, but I really don't like having to force a mod to do a full read of something already approved for a technical glitch + adding the series designation, because I'm sure it will show up as having been 100% modified in the mod panel. These are not quick reads. I'll do them one at a time and try to leave some time between them so I don't put too much extra work in the queue.

I took look at one of your older stories and it had quite a few double carriage returns. If you click on the 'Source' button on the story box it will show you.
<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
You mentioned above hitting the return key but have you tried holding shift and hitting return? It does say just above the story box on the submission screen "Press Shift+Enter for a new line".
I believe that formatting issue relates to the fact that the story submission box had a major upgrade at some point to introduce some new functionality and a few text elements are coded differently to the old version.

I don't know without checking but I would assume that what you see in the preview is how it will appear on the site once editted. You may need to remove the additional carriage returns.

What's the next excuse?

No need for that.

Let's keep things polite.
The new competition badges are designed and ready to go. Gotta be in it to get one though. smile

I think Ping and Green_Man have the whole collection so far? Impressive!

My avatar is giving you all a Christmas gift.

Jingle bells.
It's not one particular member but I would like to say thank you to all of the people on Lush who report the spam accounts that pop up from time to time.

Lush attracts its fair share of spammers but we keep on top of them by having some lightning-fast and eagle-eyed members who let the moderating team know when someone needs squishing.

If you're a regular reporter of spammers whose efforts have thus far been overlooked, drop me a PM and I'll hook you up with a 'Spam Assassin' badge.

Actually, 'matt' is a perfectly acceptable spelling of the word.
Glad most of you like the new slides. Just a little something to brighten up the front page.

Hi, random question whilst this thread exists.

With co-authored works, is there any way that both parties can have a notification of comments etc? Or is there a setting for this that I have missed? I like to see how things are doing but find I have to go and search for the work and look manually (I know, an end of the world task but hey, I am curious)

Don't think so, no. Would have to be a change Gav would need to code.
That's a good question. I suspect the answer is no but only Gav could confirm.

Thanks for the suggestion and the info about the VPN I'm trying to use.

Tried to PM her her yesterday. Lush blew up for me and logged me off. I'll give it another shot.

Have sent you a PM.
