On our profile pages there is a "Report Profile" button. How about something like that to report an individual forum thread, that is offensive.

I believe this has already been suggested, discussed and rejected as a change to the site.
The feeling was that it would not be used properly.
Anyone who has an issue with a thread in the forum can either:

- Use the contact form, or
- Mention it directly to a moderator (preferred)

1. Having your profile as private for an option
2. Having a status option of 'invisible'
3. Umm denying people access to you profile
4. An app would be nice
5. Make this website layout like wattpad.com

and yeah that's it so far

1 - You can restrict all sorts of sections of your profile for non-friend viewers (see the settings page)
2 - This is in there too.
3 - A profile is a 'public' page. If you had the ability to block a user from even looking at it; they would still be able to see it if they logged out.
4 - Android app is available from Google Play Store and Amazon App store. Apple do not allow 'adult' applications, hence no iPhone/iPad app.
5 - Any particular features you like about the Wattpad site?
Saw it the other night, thought it was pretty good.
Had scenes in it that I just couldn't shake the feeling were blatant rips off's of The Matrix and Avatar - WTF!
Also, anyone else notice how much those 'prison pods' at the start of the movie look like dildos?
We did and so did about twenty other girls in the cinema!

Bit blurry but:

So far I've only written prose and suddenly had an idea that would be more like a poem. The problem is I've never written a poem and I'm not sure what qualifies as a poem? Does it have to rhyme? How long is it supposed to be? Would love some advice.

Good questions.
In a nutshell, a poem is more likely to have a meter and/or rhyme scheme.
Poetry is also the only category on Lush that does not have a minimum length requirement.

Quote by Wikipedia
Poetry is a form of literary art which uses aesthetic and rhythmic qualities of language—such as phonaesthetics, sound symbolism, and metre—to evoke meanings in addition to, or in place of, the prosaic ostensible meaning.

Anyone who has had a poetry submission returned by myself has had an explanation along these lines:

Poetry uses forms and conventions to suggest different interpretations to words, or to evoke an emotional response from the reader. Devices such as alliteration, onomatopoeia and rhythm are sometimes used to achieve musical effects; and the use of ambiguity, symbolism, irony and other stylistic elements will often leave a poem open to multiple interpretations.

Poetry is a wonderful thing,
It can make you dance, it can make you sing.

You can curl up and cry as your heart it destroys,
Or smile and laugh in greatest joy.

With nothing as powerful as the written word,
Your heart can soar just like a bird.

Flying high, caught on a breeze,
Or in utter despair, fall to your knees.

It can play on your mind and taunt your soul,
The cruelest joke, a bottomless hole.

To weave the words, to pull the strings,
To show and explain the way of things.

That wasn't too bad. Bit rough around the edges but I am eating my lunch. smile
My suggestion would be to have a read through the poetry category on here and check out the work of some of the other authors.
That way you can see what is 'generally' accepted as poetry and approved by the moderating team.

Best of luck with your writing!

I'd like to see a "Go to page #" option on the home/story page. If a person wants to go back in the stories, past page 10 you can only move 5 pages at a time. Be helpful if I could select page 176 or whatever.

You can type it in the URL if you want:

Just change that bit in red to the page number you want smile
HAPPY BIRTHDAY OWA!!!

Hope you have a fantastic day! Liz xx

This is the nuts! smile
Good job.
Good afternoon gents.

I'm doing a little research for my next story and was wondering if you would be so kind as to help a girl out.
What I am looking for is some fairly detailed descriptions of the male orgasm; more specifically, your best ever orgasm.

- Do you have one that stands out in your memory as being mind-blowing?
- What do you remember most vividly about it?
- What did it feel like?
- How could you tell when you were 'getting close'?
- Did you moan or growl?
- Did you clamp your eyes shut?
- Did you pass out?

Anything you are happy to share would be a help.
You can be as detailed or as graphic as you wish.

(As always, the usual Lush rules apply: Nothing under 16 years of age, et cetera.)

Many thanks!

I know we have option for non members to vote on our work, mine is always on..My question is if it would be posible to maybe have the same option for guests of the site to leave comments as well? I it is unlikely that lots of guests read poetry, but still it would be quite interesting for me to see those comments.

Just an educated guess but...

I'm pretty sure that allowing non-members to leave story comments would leave the site vulnerable to spam.
Those message fields are prone to automated scripts that dump all sorts of crap on the site advertising everything from Viagra to fake Nike trainers.
A 'Captcha' system would likely need to be implemented to counter this:

Possibly the reason this has not been considered previously?

How about going out just wearing panties and no clothes!! Now that's thinking outside the box!!

Locked myself out of the house in just my panties once.
Had to climb through a window to get back in.
Good job I didn't get stuck

I normally come when I masturbate, even when I was in my relationship with my ex I would use masturbation to orgasm during sex.

However I have a fuck buddy and I enjoy it when we have sex and when he touches me. Now here comes the delimma

When I masturbate now it feels nice but I can not get that fantastic climax any more. Not like when I did it when I was with my ex or by myself.

It has been two weeks since I noticed this.

Anyone have any ideas?

I tried using my imagination, watching porn, reading stories on lush, memories of fantastic sex moments. I start to get on the verge of coming but no fireworks. My poor fingers and wrist get tired. So it isn't fun.

There is no problem when it comes to having sex with the fuck buddy however.

Have you tried toys?
A really good vibe can work wonders.

I have a long list of story ideas - some only play out to be short stories: a few chapters or even one chapter (which isn't so much a story but rather a scene). Both erotica and non erotica.

My goal is to become a published author - only, I have a hard time seeing which story concept is good enough to work into a full length story and which isn't. I won't know until I work on it and see where it goes. Though I've done that - I'm still left not know what's what.

A friend of mine published dozens of full length, original, creative and unique stories that are just wonderful works online. I love her writing because all of her characters have depth. Also, her story concepts are very original. Character death, depraved psychos on the loose, murder. Her works in the supernatural area often don't paint supernatural beings in a positive light at all. One of her more inventive pieces had to do with a caveman and a girl who was tossed back in time mid a freak lab experiment. Another follows a teenager who has autism as he copes after his parents have died - and he falls in love.

Yet - because of constraints within the publishing world; most of her works, receiving thousands of positive reviews by her fans, would not be publishable material. Her content, which is why she became quite popular online where she publishes, is very questionable.

I write like she does - not *like* she does: but the creative twists, character death and so on - yes, it's there in my work.

Obviously I can't publish some pieces here on Lush. . .and I'm wondering if publishing on paper is just limiting my content to the point where I'll just be wasting my time.

Sure - I could write to publish - but only if I continually squelch my ideas down into a pre-approved conceptual form.

Anyone else deal with this - how does that fair?

I would be interested to hear what some of your ideas include that don't meet Lush guidelines for story publication.
We are fairly open with regards to what we allow really (in my opinion).
Have you considered that following in these footsteps with regards to subject matter, may limit your appeal to a wider audience?

I don't care if we don't have the option.... I don't even score if I'm forced to comment. I DO change my setting so that only members can vote though. Before I did that, I got a one on a poem that everyone else gave a four or five to.

I didn't actually know that non-members could vote on stories.
You learn something every day.
I too have disabled this.

Frozen Glass Dildo is amazing but its even better if you use two, one frozen and one that is hot and alternate!!! WOW!!!

Food that is really fun to play with are Ice Pops, especially grape and cherry flavored. Can use the same way as an ice cube but even better.

OMG!! Please let me know when the new story will be out, Ill need to take a day or 2 off from work to recover!! HAHA

You and me both! smile

I love ice cubes. You should try a frozen glass dildo and then a warm mouth too. It's similar (without the melting).

I have another really kinky use for a food item, but I don't want to give the idea away since I'm using it in another story featuring my Babydoll character that will make Hard Candy look like child's play. ;)

Lollipops! I wrote a story about it. smile

Ice cubes are great fun by the way.
Run a cube over your lovers skin, around their nipples until they pucker and firm up, then replace the chill of the ice with the warmth of your mouth.
Wow!

Mine is editing. I set time aside at night for writing but I always start each session by reading what I wrote before, then I tweak the previously written parts over and over, and only end up writing a couple of new paragraphs.

This ^^^

I edited a story recently from 12,000 words to about 7,000 in one sitting.
Every time I pick up where I left off I have to give the existing content a read to get back in the mind-set. Then it inevitably turns into an editing session during which nothing new gets written.
