Morning news. This way I know whats going on & how freaking hot it will be. Habit from working. I can listen to the news in the morning and not be distracted.
Bar Rescue. One of my many guilty pleasures... plus you learn a few things as well.
Tired of feeling like I can't do or say anything right.
I know you hate the fact he listens to me. Well, you chose to focus on the child who had no blood tie to you.
I was there when he had questions. I was the one who took him to camp and stayed. I went on the outings, the field trips, the doctor visits, the parent conferences, the back to school nights, the community service projects, and much, much more.
I'm the one who decided he was worth my time. I'm the one who backed my words up with my actions. I'm the one who showed him he was worth it.
I'm the one who was the parent and who parented. You showed up for the awards... I was there for the work.
That's why he listens to me. Because he knows... I will in turn... listen to him.
Honestly... almost all the time. I'll start with an idea going one way only to have it change directions mid-way through. Sometimes I'll start with one point of view... only to realize it would be better told differently. I'll plan on ending to begin with...then find my story has gone in such a different direction that the ending I had initially planned will no longer work.
It's just the fun of writing... seeing how the story will go and where it might take you.
Though I respect the responses from those who have spoken up on this subject... after some thought... I must say no. However, if they (Nic & the team) agree with you (and on some level... I kinda hope they do) I will figure out a way to write a story to fit this or move one over that would fit.
