Hiya everyone. The witch doctor says its all in my head, so that's a relief.

Ana Popovic -- kinda had a thing for her after my dad snuck me into a club to see her when I was 14. Real shame about that whole being straight stuff.

Kis darling did Ms Pixel give you a cat flap pass??
Lovely to see you with us, that tall frame of yours does rather make me wish I was a cat so I could climb you like a tree.

Ahem
I remember wanting Morten Harkett to do the filthiest things to me.

I also properly wanted to pull Cindi Lauper behind a hedge and do very unladylike things to her.
I was a naughty girl back then, dont worry I'm much worse now.

Good morning everyone. What's shakin'?

Jack my dear, welcome to a wretched hive of scum and villainy.

Watch out for James and Carl, if your drink of choice is Jamesons. Those boys can get through a bottle like nothing I've ever seen. They're also awfully nice people and if you ask them ever so nicely Carl will spin a tune and James might write a dirty limerick about you.

Over beside Coma and Tose our silent security team is Rumps or Bill as I call him.
His name is over the door and he's a lovely sweet man. Bastard made me cry with a very romantic tale too.

Our security chief Terrance hides on the hot nut dispenser and if you wake him up I will become rather cross with you.
I'm wearing my big girl pants today just to be anywhere near him, I'm a little twitchy around spiders.

Somewhere around here are the "Good Girls" , Emma, Kimmi, Bonnie and Curvy.
Who are all very good girls and certainly not the kind to tell saucy stories after a little liquid refreshment.

There's a sports fan club around here somewhere with Kat, Verbal and a few others who always know the score, and if you ask nicely may even tell you. Now working the sport they're discussing that's where I got lost.

As for me I can found flirting up a storm, having the most outrageous difficulty getting a stock count done, dancing on the bar shedding clothes like leaves or doing my stint behind the bar trying to work off my bar bill.

Honestly who knew rum was that pricey.

Oh we have 2 other new arrivals Gracie and Daddy D. I sure hope I haven't got their names wrong.
This is what happens when you have a late one drinking rum and helping a friend get a chat room set up.
The things I do for a friend.

Oh dont hug Sprite without permission these days she's mostly wired up as a taser and having your hair catch fire while you get flung backwards is going to put a cramp in your day. Mind you I've been allowed to spank her ass and Bonnie's too.
That was a very good day indeed.

Umm I'm sure there's more but that's enough to cope with for now.

Oh and welcome to the bar and lovely to see you.

Michelle, it's nice to see you so UP this morning. What are you on? Never mind; it's probably arcane and occult anyway, but I'm pleased you're so happy for whatever reason.

I can absolutely dispel the myth that Carl doesn't drink Jameson's. He's drunk too much of it is the problem, usually mine!

As for eternal youth – well, perhaps I did know the secret, but I know that there are times I can barely find my clothes. Not sure if it's because I've forgotten where they are, or if Someone has Taken Them.

They say that when you reach a CERTAIN AGE, "getting lucky" means remembering why you came into the room. I wouldn't know if that's true, but you could ask Carl… Good luck with your Chiefs this weekend, Carl! Might as well root against Brady since the Bills are gone.

Morning, Emma! How's the Official Rumps Pet this morning? Finish his molt?

Hi DD! I was writing yesterday, and didn't get a chance at the next Gracie installment, but looking forward to it!

And, of course, good morning, Sweet William, sir, founder of this Beast!

Now, Michelle, if you would be so kind, I'll just take a refill for my water bottle. I've got a sweaty hour of yoga ahead of me! And, as Arnie said, "I'll be BACK!"

-Takes the water bottle and fills it with spring water, before sliding it back across the bar-

Enjoy your work out James.

My muse is kind, my spirit sings and the coffee is properly kicking in.

Thank you for the advice! I was not aware. I appreciate it!

I need some strong coffee please....very early morning!

When you submit a story with a Gold badge it's a featured story, if you submit a new one it kicks the old one off the front page. So if you post faster you just cheat yourself of readers.

-Slips a mug under the spout and persuades Big Bertha to make another powerful brew. Pushes the mug across the counter-
Have a doughnut or I have apple brownies if you'd prefer one of those.

Coffee please, Michelle.

I finished a K-drama last night, and now I'm at a loss on what to watch. I need something a bit silly with heaps of romance. I've also begun writing again, and I've edited around 4 thousand words so far. Having a break for a couple of weeks seems to have done me some good.

Welcome back darling.

-Slips a mug under the spout and whispers nicely at Big Bertha to make more magical elixir. Pushes the mug across the counter to you-

IF you want something silly try Sugar rush, granted its really old but I loved it when it came out.

Well done on writing again, I'm astounded you're editing that much content. Sometimes taking a break is a good idea.
Have a doughnut, or I have apple brownies if you'd prefer one of those instead.

Be extra kind to yourself and celebrate your wonderful talent.
That would explain things, I'm a bit new to the Lush-verse and it's little ways.
Thank you ladies.

Greetings of a TGIF nature to all who wander in only to be gobsmacked by the sight of a comely maiden tending bar, then try some of her witchy brew and decide this is the place to be.

Michelle, many thanks for your setup this morning. Me, I'm gonna fill my mug, grab a few doughnuts and go join Carl at the corner table with Coma and Tose to contemplate life and the upcoming Super Bowl.

If you need a drink, yell for Michelle. We need to get as much work out of her as possible before she melts down, or burns out, or whatever.

Bill darling, it's been an eternity since anyone ever called me a maiden, but I do thank you.

I like tending bar, sometimes people tell me the strangest things when they've had a drink or two.

There's a particularly interesting one going round that says Carl doesn't actually drink Jamesons, he just uses it as cover while he's researching the Great American Novel he's been working on.

Some say James has the secret of eternal youth written on a bar mat that he put in the pockets of one of his many jackets and he can't remember which one. For shame.
If it's from boys, early millennium. If girls are allowed then last week. Ooh I@m getting thirsty thinking about it.

I'm going full latex plague doctor.

YES!! Call me a kinky bitch but that's bloody amazing.
You my dear have lit up my day, thank you.
Firstly hello gents, it's my first time posting a question in here so be gentle with me, I'm a virgin.

Ahem.
My mother always told me to be careful about talking to strange men but I won't tell her if you won't.

If it's Date Night, it could be an Anniversary, a Birthday, or just a "We haven't had it in a while let's shake the world" night.
What would you wear to get your lover in the mood?

It could be saucy undies, a firemans outfit (yes I know some boys love a hunky fireman), a full black tie tuxedo, or a teeny tiny thong.
What is your special weapon to make your lover drool with lust to get you into bed?
Just checking it's not just me getting odd errors when trying to write on someone's wall or change my message on my wall.
I had written something on delacruzinforjosh's wall and got an error 500 server error.

https://www.lushstories.com/error500.aspx?aspxerrorpath=/members/delacruzinforjosh.aspx

When I tried to get back to the forum I got an error 500 there too.
I assume something somewhere had a little problem and it's sorted. Just reporting it.

Let's summon him back to us.

I've been procrastinating writing chapter 4 of my current series but am going to get to it..
I am also planning on catching up on my reading here so if you have something I missed that you want me to read..Send me a link smile

Random question Has anyone tried the coke with coffee? I did the other day and really hated it but I am curious to know what others think.

coffee please

Ahem first off as an expert can we refrain from summoning things, last time we ended up with so many tentacles I couldn't eat calamari for weeks.
Thank you Violet for that little gem.

As for writing a chapter I had to put my pencil down for a bit while I let the urge brew for a bit, damned thing didn't want to write the next part of the Artemis Club. The poetry comp came out, and I had a little more fizz so I put that through the story and it worked out great.
Sometimes not doing something, it exactly the right thing to do.

Coke with Coffee? Yes I've had it, no I don't recommend it. For the love of the Fates don't put Monster into a cold Double Espresso. I think I could feel the universe expanding around me while I walked and could speak in colours, most disturbing.

-Slides a fresh mug under the coffee dispenser and sets the machine running with a clatter pouring thick strong magical elixir into it. Places the mug on the counter.-

There ya go.

Hey all! I have published the next chapter of the "A first for Gracie" series. Please read it and let me hear your thoughts. Much appreciated.

Lucky, will take a look at your poem. The biggest achievement is to put your work out there...everything after that is a bonus. Good luck sweetie!

Doublle Black Jack to go please!

A First For Gracie - Part 2

Just a tip, give it 3 days or so before you submit the next part, we're only supposed to have 2 parts a week.
So just a handy tip, I got carried away once and didn't do that, got a wag of the finger for it.

-Slides a Double Black Jack towards you-
Skips joyfully in, gets behind the bar and starts tinkering. Big Bertha is carefully emptied, the sludge kept for Carl. Fresh spring water poured in a new bag of fresh coffee beans poured into the hopper to make superb coffee. The big kettle gets a good scrub and a refill, before being put on the boil. All the glasses, mugs and plates are carelessly thrown in the sink when it's all full a ripple in the air as the fumes, smoke and dust form into a figure that scrubs every single item spotlessly clean, putting it neatly away.
A tray of doughnuts appears, with a choice of fillings raspberry jam, stewed apple, and a custard filling.

Right folks, I'm giving Miss Curvy a morning off what can I get you drunken animals to drink?

Terence if you promise to be a good spider and not try to run up my leg or jump down my cleavage I will keep you in all manner of insect nibbles. I bring a locust as a treat.

Please tell me that's never actually happened to you.

Guys – let the fact that I actually have to ask serve as a reminder that the bar is not nearly as high as it actually should be. Clear it.

Urm it wasn't Tom Brady but the Sunday Game GAA but yeah I've been that girl.
When your lover is more interested in a free penalty then eating you right, let them go.

Yes but we both know if you put on THAT dress and asked me to show you Wonderland neither of us would be able to speak for a week.

Instead of uploading the image directly, use the link to online image option. Since the board doesn't have to actually store the image it should just display it workout compression.
Hugo I suspect the problem is the notion that as a woman I'd only be able to choose between those options.
It also assumes that theres a specific look for either a secretary or a business woman.
If I'd asked you to make the same choice how would you feel?

If you'd asked if there was a specific look I'd be willing to wear for a lover?
That might kick off a discussion about what fantasies we've played out with a lover, or would like to explore
Then all of us could throw something into the hat.
Oh I love my parents.
My maternal grand father taught me a woman an be anything a man can be, and her place is where she chooses it to be.
Kitchen, workshop or halls of power.

My father taught me that not all men will respect my choices and that any man who wants to hold my heart should be a paragon who always treasures that most special gift.
He never did like my boyfriends, though he adored Eimear the two of them used to spend hours poking about under the hoods of cars talking about mechanical things.
There was a while there I think he'd rather I switched places and Eimear stayed.

My mother had a complicated time accepting I didn't want to marry a man or become a mother.
I think she felt I'd rejected her world for one she didn't understand.

They gave up many things so my siblings and I could be free to chose our own path in life.
I'd not be who I am without their guidance, support and ceaseless love.
I know I'm damned lucky.
Not everyone had that support and some of my queer peers had to leave home for being who they were.
I'm a regular user of firefox because I wanted the device sync without giving everything to Google.
Firefox can be a little funny at times, the phone version in particular suffers from trampoline connections to this site and others.
I suspect some kind of power management is throttling down the link if a regular feed of data isn't coming down.

Good morning. It's past noon so a glass of white wine is good. Lovely day here, but work is keeping me indoors. Probably too cold to enjoy much outdoor time anyway.

So, I have had a change in my life and I am still wrestling with it a bit, but here it goes. As of sometime last week, I became a father-in-law. Yep, my crazy son married his partner unannounced (he hasn't even told us when it happened) and then told us on Monday. Needless to say, I am not as elated as I might have been had things gone in a more conventional way, but I am happy. We haven't even met Ms. Seeker, Jr. yet (long story there) but they have been together a couple years and living together on and off during the pandemic. We've been on the outs with him of late but hopefully this opens the door to getting things back on track. My daughter-in-law (I think that's the first time I've called her that publicly) is almost done her degree and works for the Canadian government (which will hopefully become full-time permanent after graduation) and he is working part-time for a chip design firm while finishing his degree. Both are in computer engineering. They are promising a proper celebration when the pandemics subsides (or at least once most of us get jabs).

Seeker, congratulations on the good news.

May the Goddess shine Her Light on them both,
grant them many years of devoted bliss together.
Blessed be.

I think a glass of something to celebrate is entirely appropriate.
Hi Allen,
I suggest you have a look at the very long thread asking lesbians why not men.
There's a lot of detailed answers there.

I'd ask you to consider the opposite question.

If I were to ask you why no to sleeping with other men?
There's an awful lot of different ways to answer that question from the one word to the long essay on a personal journey of discovery to why only being with other men brings you joy.

Difference is beautiful and it takes all sorts to make a world.
I'd ask you to be very gentle with the way you ask that question some of my queer sisters get the suggestion made to them that they haven't met the right man yet.
It can come across as insensitive and make another feel uncomfortable.
So just bear that in mind.

As for me I went the long way to find my identity.
I started as a straight girl who fumbled around, became bi curious and did some more experimenting.
Identified as bi for a while and was finally shown the majesty that was my sapphic identity.

I did my time with men and they really didn't treat me very well or take care of my needs much.
The laziest, sloppiest , bedroom princess did more to make me happy then the greatest man I ever had in my bed.
But that's just me.
Some of my sisters didn't have a choice they were made the way they are and bear the scars from it.
I'm also lucky in that I'm Femme so don't draw a lot of attention but my butch sisters catch hell for being who they are.
So tread lightly, be respectful to those who answer and remember that not all of us want to answer this question.
Some of us have been answering it regularly for a long time.

Peace and love.

Kimmi, I know what you mean, but remember that we all love you.
There is a very good reason why you won the AWESOME Award – because you are.

Good morning lovely friends,

I will have a large coffee and a blueberry muffin.

Lucky, thank you for your kind words. Thanks and prayers for your cousin as well.

Emma, your pets are beautiful.

Michelle, thanks for the encouragement on DD's writing and James I do like being called Gracie. ??

Off to read poetry. Have a great day and stay warm!

Gracie dear, you're some woman for one woman as they say over here.
You're awfully brave too, and seeing as I danced topless and without undies on this very bar that's saying something.

Keep nudging that writer of yours to keep his pencil scratching new tales, a happy muse is a busy muse.
A restless muse is a cranky muse and nobody wants one of those.

Since you're new put the order on my tab, have to look after our new members and besides you might tell me where this bar is.
I've a mind to visit it and see if the bar staff are as delicious as they sound.
James we may have to cut back on your Jameson ration.
Honestly though it's a wonderful piece of work and between that and your Christmas one I'm becoming a huge fan.
Well my lovelies my muse and I had a little chat. Seems she's all fizzing to write verse after seeing what Carl and Roger have done.
I've had to be firm, I had to be strict. Can't go letting the muse dictate what you write or the next thing you know you're writing radio jingles for second hand car dealerships.
Goddess preserve me from such a terrible fate.
So we've agreed she can have a crack at the poetry comp but has to finish the next chapter of the Artemis Club. She's had a nice rest and been letting the words escape freely but a Skald needs her tales, and this one needs to be finished.
Getting back on track perhaps a badge for 5 or even 10 getting stories or poems published.
Getting 1 story published can feel like a punishing target when you start, but little markers for us rookies would be nice.

I know our esteemed Elites can be chasing huge numbers but for little me having a story with 2K views marked would make me really happy I've done something special.
I've never had 2k people read anything of mine before, it nearly made my head spin.

I think Carl's idea about something for having small numbers of followers would be helpful. It's a tough world our there for a rookie and small victories are still worth celebrating.

Also I see some have a Series, badge is that a special one or just for posting a certain number of parts in an actual series?

Listen, Skald, do not tempt me. I can get far more explicit than the soft-core of cohort and legion.

How do the following grab you?

Praefectus Castrorum. Tribuni Angusticlavii. Primus Pilus.

Oh what a wet dream the classics must have been to study at public school. I feel robbed of an education.

Yes Luca!! Yes!!! More!!
Tell me about Phalanxes and battle formations. Yes!
