You're an inspiring man amigo, I must get my ass up on the ellipse machine and get pounding too.

I used to tell students when they were afraid of an exam or a subject.

"You don't climb a mountain in one go, you climb it step by step, breath by breath. The start always feels hard, then you get moving. You start to climb higher, the ground gets steeper and you have to push harder. Then you stop to catch your breath, wondering if you will ever reach that summit, you turn around and see how far you've come, the distance you've covered, the obstacles you crossed. The challenges you faced and overcame. That summit isn't impossible to reach, a little further yet, one more effort. When you finally reach it, you can look down at what you achieved. Punch the air, shout in triumph. You defeated not only the mountain but your own Fear, your own Doubt, the limits you placed on what you could achieve."

Agnes puts it simpler.
"When facing a challenge think of it as being near a cliff. You can shake your head and walk away, or you can scream defiance and jump off the cliff. Sometimes you learn to fly before you reach the bottom, the rest of the time you feel the rush of the fall before you hit the water. You can always return to jump again, and every time you do you teach the Fear you're not going to surrender."

I believe in you, and I know you can do it.You've gone further today than you did yesterday, very proud of you.
Loving the contributions to this little conversation, lots of valuable advice, great tips. Thank you so very much
Jake I'm so proud of you, well done you for doing something for yourself.

Even my FB friends don't get this excited.

I'm ready to drown in Jane. More than ready, in fact.

Xander darling, did you really thing I'd let your birthday go unmarked?
I'd clear the bar for a drunken conga line down the street darling, with you leading us!

Not been here much lately, so just wanted to say: Morning, Afternoon, Evening or even Night to all those in RUMPLATIONS biggrin
But now I've started my Christmas holiday, might be droping in more often for a chat.
And to just drop off a Cristmas card

Welcome back, have a drink, have a chat and have a hug.
Well you drunken rabble, I've got a poem published. Who knew in a month I@d get 3 poems written, 1 story published, 1 being verified and 3 in the hopper. I think that's a pretty good month by any standard.
Well I've done a reckless, feckless, dangerous thing. I submitted a story for the comp, a nasty little voice says "check your formatting" so I did, 12 times.
I think I'm starting to talk myself both into and out of submitting the thing, so I went for submit it.
Let's see if the writing deities grant approval or if I must make further offerings.

That said, Xander boogie baby, it's your birthday and we're all bloody glad to have you with us so we can spoil you silly.
Mines the jumbo jar of nutella and a large spoon, don't judge me I've had a hard day in the editing swamp.
Take her camera and her pencil away. Then hide in the panic room until her rage calms down.
Hi Highspeed, you should wander over to Rumps bar, there's a really nice crown that meets there and we're always glad to welcome new members.
Sex is something that a lot of people are uncomfortable talking about.
Shouldn't we give all children a proper understanding of what emotionally and physically is involved when you decide to actually take someone to bed.
Perhaps a mandatory module for all new students on Consent, and preventing sexual assault.
That might require some awkward conversations around a board room table, to actually put in place, but it has to be better then waiting for someone to make a complaint before stepping in.
Just a few coins for the hat.

Those eyes of hers oh my god. I...is it any wonder that I like to describe them as skydust-colored?

Also I realized I don't really look at her face too much during WL until the end when she winks. Aka I spend most of the time looking at her boobs and/or butt. #shameless

Xander darling if the Goddess didn't want us to look at boobs and butts, She'd never have made them so damn eye catching.
Naughty but trying to be nice, where's the fun in being too good.
With a blindfold, silk bondage ribbon, a feather, and a bowl of ice cubes.
The fun to be had from such small things.
I AM wading into the editing process to get my comp entry finished.
Speaks her mind and is unconcerned with how people interpret that. To be so free from emotional baggage, is a beautiful thing.
Just following up Emily,
Did you succeed in getting someone to have a second look over your work?
Careful Kistin there's going to be fist fights over getting those.
Giggles.
For myself I'm looking for some new silken bondage ribbons, my current set is a little frayed.
For the right people it can be wonderful. I prefer to let people earn that special favour, just to keep things fiesty.
Has a beautiful soul and an enchanting lyrical way with words.
I'm ever so slightly in love with her.
Lately an IPA or a fine red ale, I get a little gassy but lovely stuff.

How come all the things I try to write today sound like I'm trying too hard? I want to write but I just...can't, I guess.

Xander do what James suggested earlier, just let your fingers write anything at all.
A rant about the smoke alarm, anything just let your fingers dance and in time the magic happens.
You can't force the muse to come, but you can clear some space for her to connect to you, don't edit what you write. Write and when you're done then edit, otherwise you get caught self editing yourself and that flow wont happen.
Personally I find the right wordless music helps and something to drink, even if it's just water.
If you get thirsty you can't channel the muse, any nothing clears writers block like racing to the loo.
Get that sentence down and then you can go otherwise you ain't going anywhere.
Then again I'm a little cruel to keep me focused.
