I'll definitely give you Sasha going out with a bang. God, probably the only bit of classic Walking Dead I've seen all season! That and the Kingdom blazing in to save the day at the eleventh hour.

Otherwise it's been nothing episode after nothing episode. I'm actually going to go so far as to say it was worse than the snooze fest on the farm. At least the walkers were interesting back then.

For me, they've really fluffed the balance of late, racing through Terminus and the Wolves, and then dragassing far too long with Negan's lot. I just need the pay off of them finally getting him. Enough with the edging already!

Fingers crossed for next October.
Another one for Venice. And that's Italy, not Beach.

The characters, tension and sex are going to make your story. The scene's irrelevant. Hell, you could pull something interesting and engaging out of 1930s Adelaide to add the splash of colour you're after. Seriously, setting it against the backdrop of the development of the pie floater would actually be something novel.

Quite often. I don't have much in the boob department so don't really need to.

No need to be embarrassed. Besides, I'm a bit of an ass man myself. Grrr...

Having just finished A Year in the Life of the Gilmore Girls, we're going to watch Wild tonight. I'll have to read the book too, 'cause apparently they're very different.

Hmmm... it was all right. It's no Eat Pray Love or Under the Tuscan Sun, but interesting enough. Obviously a lot grittier. Less date night and more chick's own. Despite the involvement of the author in the film, I put it down to the French director. A little too arty and not quite enough sympathy/engagement in the protagonist. Didn't quite get there either - plenty of journey and not quite enough destination.

I think I'm going to get more out of the book.

Dude, you're supposed to get her contact information, not dump yours on her and hope she does the work for you. Strap on a pair and be courageous. You're the man! Seriously, watch Kate and Leopold - good movie, great advice.

If she didn't give you her contact details, I'd leave it. Her saying she'd otherwise like to keep in touch smacks of a polite brush off to me.

Then again, my wife's saying it's probably all right, especially if she lost your details. At least see out the rest of the week before dropping a non-stalkerish Facebook PM. If she's into you, she'll be tickled, and if she's not, well you're fucked anyway.

But next time, get her number. And watch that movie!
Further to what Phil said, check out some of Sprite's stories, particularly her Butterfly Beach and Mrs Vandermeer's Rules series. Be warned, she goes a little offroad, but the sex scenes themselves are truly amazing. Vivid, sensual, and wildly arousing.

Contextualise your sex in good plot and character development. Build up to it, increasing the tension as you go. Broadly outline the act itself with stage direction and mechanics so the reader knows what's happening. Then focus on a few tiny details here and there to bring the imagery to life in the reader's mind. For example, the soft depressions in her skin as he traces his fingers up her inner thigh. Colour is powerful, as too are other scences, such as touch, smell and taste.

The trick is in finding the right balance. You're trying to prompt the reader's imagination, not do their thinking for them. Similarly, you don't want to leave them wanting.

Finally, emotion is perhaps the best, and hardest, element to convey in a good sex scene. Describe how at least one of the characters feels lust, longing, anticipation, nervousness, excitement, exhilaration, passion, love, satisfaction, and/or contentment or possibly regret throughout the scene. It's a journey through the emotions just as much as getting off. Again, the trick here is in being subtle. Weave it in. Show, don't tell. What you leave out is just as important as what you leave in.

Good luck.
I'd spend it with my son, or talking to him on the phone as long as his two-year-old attention span would allow if I couldn't be there in person. Maybe try and get to a body of water as well to soothe my soul before the end.

Failing that, I'd max out my credit card at the nearest brothel for the nastiest sex money can buy. Go out with a bang and all that.
I loved him in, I'm ashamed to say, the very small proportion of his work I've seen. He was really versatile and a brilliant actor. He absolutely deserved an Oscar for his role in True Lies.

I'm sad he's gone, but I look forward to enjoying his work, both familiar and not, in the time I have left.

My best wishes for his family and friends.
I've crushed hard on a few of the lovely women here on Lush, and for a different roll of the dice, I may have attempted meeting them. But by no means have I fallen in love with anyone online.

I learned pretty early on during some cyber dating back in the day that getting invested online was a waste of time. Nobody is truly who they say they are in real life, ore more accurately, can live up to what you make them in your imagination.
Sure, heels extend the calf muscles and tilt the pelvis forward, arguably making a woman's legs look sexier, if not at least longer. But full-bore stripper heels are a bit too much for mine.

Honestly, I think I prefer comfortable flat shoes, or even barefoot. There's something about that sort of self-assured authenticity that gets my motor running.
I really want to see Hidden Figures.

Lion too. I'm just finishing up the book now.
I most recently watched The Light Between Two Oceans. A bit slow and the book's apparently better, not that I'll bother. Wife loved it though.
Beyond the practicalities of paying off my mortgage, I'd spring for a year-long cruise around the world. See it all and take the hotel and butler with me!
Currently binging on The Gilmore Girls. But I'm so angry with Lorelai at the moment, I'm ready to bin the whole thing. I've just put so much time into it so far, I have to see it through to the end.

I'm super excited The Walking Dead, Goggle Box and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver have all come back this week though.
While I've by no means had a statistically valid sampling, I'd say there's some truth in it.
