There's normally a 24 hour delay to recalculate the badges. However its been longer than that, so I suspect there's something wrong. There are 3 others with the badge, but interestingly they have published in 38 categories, you have 39.

I'm afraid this is my mistake, one which I cannot fix right away.
When I implemented the restrictions for paid versus free membership, I made the mistake of blocking actions for things that you currently have. For example, rather than let you manage images you have previously uploaded I made the whole image gallery page blocked.
The problem is I am over half way through a migration to a new database API which has touched 60% of the code. I am not in a position to make a fix for this easily.
This will one of the first things I fix when the code is ready for release.

Never fear, category numbers will still be available through the mobile site.
I think its safe to assume that I can remove these links now. That's a big win, one less query to run and cache.

Well..... To work out how many pages you have you frist need to know your collection size. So that's a query for the total count and a hit for the page you're after. At the moment we cache these counts so its not too much strain on the db. I'm working on a change to split stories and poetry up, so now the cache gets a little more complicated. Would be nice to not have to worry about pages and collection counts altogether.

For shits and giggles, does anyone here actually use the page numbers at the bottom of the story lists (home page)? I’m not sure what the value is with them, especially as the numbers grow.
If I remove them and replace with a <Prev Next> links instead is anyone going to contract kill me?

I'm aiming for a nice consistent performance graph. At the moment we have spikes. When the site is under load everything grinds to a halt.
I'm waiting for DNS to catch up before I can really start the migration.
The forum db now has its own dedicated server so we *should* be seeing some performance benefits here.

We have a new server to host all our media (audio, images, videos etc) and will be migrating to this over the next 24 hours. I will leave the site operational during this time, however it means GETting and PUTting to this server is going to fail.
This will mean broken images, failed uploads etc during this time.
