As you can imagine the space required to store these anonymous image uploads can get quite extensive. Every so often i run a purge tool that will clean up our media store for orphaned media or files with low view counts.
Files really shouldn't go missing from forum posts of friends walls as these would typically get lots of views.
Ok this should be fixed now.
Btw there is an option (suggested on SS) to remove the story snippet from the category / home page list. For short stories / poems it preety much gave away the whole thing!
I'm aware of this issue and will have a patch soon.
Civilization restored.
ok this issue was effecting Chrome on Android. i've just uploaded a patch, let me know how it goes.

This feature has been rolled back. We will now show all names for members of a room regardless if they are invisible or not.
Good to see some of you find this a useful feature. I understand concerns over unwanted notifications appearing on your desktop.
I was toying with the idea of showing the persons avatar that is associated with the message. But then the thought of a masturbating daffy duck being presented to the other patrons of my local coffee shop has me doubting this feature.
Thoughts?
I’ve been playing with the Notifcation API available with most modern web browsers. It enables us to publish a notification to your browser that appears as a native notification (like you might see with other applications on your device).
When you see a prompt to accept notifications from Lush Stories, if you choose Yes then you should see an echo of the black box message you receive from the Lush website.
Let me know what you think.
I have updated the end dates of anyone on this thread where this issue has occurred. If anyone else has experienced this, please PM me.
Happy birthday my old cobber.
Now that you've left Europe, any chance you will be joining us down under?
So this anonymous avatar was historically shown for comments made to stories by non logged in users.
Now its used as a fallback in case an avatar cannot be resolved. So if a member is missing from the avatar collection (which shouldn't normally happen) then this image is shown. This would normally mean we have an orphaned member, a member thats been deleted but its member id has not been cleaned from all the related collections.
Sorry, this was a problem caused when i introduced the new edit feature.
You should be able to reply to comments inline again now.
