I was wondering if the free members of lush can block people as well? Because I tried blocking a person by looking through the Members search option..and it didn't worked ..it rather landed me on page saying this page is restricted to only paying members. I am just curious, is this how it works?
If yes ..I think it should be available to all the members as their basic function on such a social site regardless if they're paying members or not.

Yes I'm afraid these types of user management features are limited to paying subscribers only.

Thanks folks, love you all

That's enough gratuitous attention for this year. Any more and my helmet might just explode.

forgotten email

Gav - I have someone who can no longer log into the email address they used to register lush. is there a way you can help them with resetting password or geting back into lush?

Send me a PM to get this reset manually pls.

What can someone do if their original email address is no longer active?
If it is for them to send a message through "Contact Us", about how long would it take, maybe, to get a response?

Thanks for all your help.
Lush is home.

You can send me a PM direct to get this resolved.

If we had to reset out password...can we go back and reset our original pass?word

Yes you can use the same password.
Good stuff.

Seems like is changing its mind about us. The more people that add our email address we send from to their address lists, it must give some credence to our domain.

Please use the Password Reset page.

For those of you unfortunately using emails you might have to use the contact us page to reset. hates us, they never accept email from our domain.

I found another bug where some of the content of a locked group (invite only) is accessible to all.

Let's say I visit the profile of Ze_Fallen_Madonna, who has commented on a discussion in the locked group Big Beautiful Breasts, of which she's a member of course. Her activity feed may say "Commented on the Group Discussion boobies!", which links to that discussion. Following that link I can read the OP, but not Ze_Fallen_Madonna's comment, or anyone else's for that matter. Still, the OP should not be accessible to me either, as I'm not a member of the group.

BTW, how many bugs does it take to earn the 'Bug Slayer' badge? Asking for friend of course.

Fixed now?

Check your lapel for a new badge.

I saw this on the My stories page and other pages that share the same footer:

I guess it's been that way since the new footer on the homepage was introduced, since they share the same id and background color.

Fixored.

Not sure if this was already mentioned elsewhere, but I found another bug:

In the overview of "Latest Forum Posts" on one's profile page the HTML is shown as plain text. This bug is introduced quite recently.

A rushed bug fix, busted.
Good stuff. The background task is still converting at about a rate of 5 per second.
Please be patient, we are fixing up your membership data as we speak.

If you’ve been locked out, please use the forgotten password link: https://www.lushstories.com/forgotten-password.aspx which will then send you a reset code. If you are still having trouble, please use the contact form and we’ll reply as soon as we can.

Apologies for any inconvenience this has caused.

This is still happening.. when I click on lush email instead of the email opening, i am taken to a page saying unsecured page. Anyone know why?

This is a Lush PM you are talking about? Does it contain an image?

This works for me. I wasn't here to raise hell, but I felt like this was an issue worth mentionning. I'll trust you guys to work on it from there.

I'm just testing this fix over on SS for a week. Once I'm happy with it I'll install this new release and start the process of re-hashing everyone's password.

The only two-way from here on in will be that double ended dildo for Kiera and Sprite.

Alright, so I have sort of a very big problem with lush right now. It's gonna get geeky, but bear with me a minute.

Logging on a different session, I had forgotten my account password. So I used the password recovery function of lush. It indicated: "An email containing your password has been sent". I got worried at that point I think.

Anyway, email arrived immediately to state:

So, for the non-geek here. THIS IS DANGEROUS! The fact that lush is able to send you the password you set back means that the password are stored somewhere in lush's databases. I can't know the details, but even if they're encrypted, it's subpar security. On any decent website handling personal information, passwords are never (MUST NEVER!) be accessible. Instead, they use hashes to encrypt passwords as they're entered. That's why Google doesn't send you your password back but ask instead to create a new one, because they don't know it.

Why is this important? Lush is obviously a website more sensible than most. And although we're all using pseudos, I'm assuming a LOT of very private informations and media transit around everyday. Everyone who may not want some of the stuff they put in here, out there, is concerned.

I just feels wrong to have subpar security around. So, admins...This is important. If you can get around to implementing additional layers of security, like hashes, that would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
LCN

Needless to say I cannot go into specifics with the implementations of our database or encryption methodologies used. However I can assure you we do not store any passwords in plain text.

Can we do better? Of course we can. But please be assured that security of your personal details is a priority and we will continue to improve upon this.

Can you add the ability to log in 'Invisible'? Just a tick box maybe

Thanks if you can xx

You can currently log in silently using the shift key, does that help?
Opps. How's it now for everyone?

PS I hate enums

Is their a way to hide my follow list? If not, cannot that be done?

Yes there is now. From your settings page, Hide Follow List [ ]
Quote by Jonathans_Fantasies
I would like it if it were possible to sort your followers so you know when one leaves. We get notifications when we get a new follower, but when someone leaves we don't get notification. If we could sort them, say alphabetically, when we look at our total and it's different, it would be easier to spot who is missing (I know I'm a bit OCD on this, but I don't like losing a follower! )

The dropping of a follower has now been added to your timeline.

Is it possible to set an "Online" or "Away" setting for each person on a friends list? I don't want to block people but being able to set some friends to "Away" would be handy, making you "online" to some if you'd rather speak to some as a priority. Is it possible to set that up? TIA smile

As you said Thanks In Advance, I've implemented this feature. You can now pick from your friends list who can always see you online, regardless of your availability.

I can only make ten. So how do you make 30? The system does not allow me to make any more.

I'm not aware of any limit, nor is the code smile What happens when you add the 11th one?

While I'm at it...
I'd also love it if the message that accompanies an accepted friend request could be retained as a regular inbox message. Some of those messages are very nice, as people get in touch because they like what they've read. But I often forget to answer them in as much detail as they deserve because they disappear once you click on approve, so they're not in my inbox reminding me to write back. Plus it's just nice to look back at them.

Friends requests will no longer be deleted automatically when your approve it.

That suggests the issue occurs outside of the browser, while the 'it happens in Chrome but not in Firefox' suggests it is in fact a browser issue. Weird

Thanks for the investigation. No de-obfuscation of my code! *slaps*

I've put in some more robust code around the keycode checks.

Android fragmentation is a bitch.

I switched from chrome to Firefox and Firefox seems to work like Chrome used to.

Maybe there's been an update to chrome that's broken something. Chrome on windows seems to work fine. Is there such a thing as a javascript console on your android version?

Anyone else having this issue - in my Android device the return key is working like a carriage return and not like send / submit. Just started happening. Not sure if it is Lush or my phone but it makes it impossible to send a response to a black box message.

Can you clear your browser cache and try again for me. When you hit the enter key does the box grey out at all, or does this line feed behavior happen from the beginning?
Quote by Mysteria27
I used to be able to see the POST key when posting You Tube videos or pictures. Now that seems to be gone.

Can we get that back?

Please advise,

This should be fixed now. I did some housekeeping last night, seems some css classed were referencing images from the working folder, bad css.
