Age Play — We accept age play stories. It must be clearly spelled out that all participants are actually adults engaging in role play. Such stories should be in or another appropriate category and have an "age play" tag.

http://www.lushstories.com/forum/yaf_postst22383_An-A-to-Z-Guide-for-Lush-Stories-Authors.aspx

Since age play stories should all be tagged, there's no need for another category.

I guess it comes down to what should be a category and what should be a tag - is it worth having a separate Toys category when any story involving toys could be under Masturbation or Straight/Lesbian etc instead? Or should Toys be expanded to include any kind of prop - outfits/uniforms etc

I never went looking for evidence or proof it was sent to me by a third party I never met. I guess so it would reinforce what they said. It's the last thing I expected in my mailbox.

So where did he get it from then?
How about allowing stories to fit in two categories, eg Lesbian Love Poems, Bisexual BDSM, Interracial crossdressing (?!)

My only suggestion would be a Lush or cyber category for those stories about user experiences here or with online relationships generally
What Poppet says makes some sort of sense, I guess. No real difference between it and a guy calling a girl "baby"...

That said, it makes still my skin crawl.
What feels worse for you right now? His treatment of you or the fact that you've gone along with it for so long?

Stop the evidence gathering - it reduces you. Don't end up being the psycho girlfriend - you have the high ground here, keep it along with your dignity and just walk away from him.

What Belledujour says is spot on when she talks about men and women who proclaim and demand exclusivity. He knows just how good those words sound to you, he's just not willing to act in the same way as he talks.

I wouldn't buy the "I'll give up Lush" line either.
Are you on O2?

O2 restricts user access to sites that may be of an adult nature on their network - you need to prove that you're over 18. You can do this at any O2 shop but you have to be prepared to do it again once every year or so. There's probably a way of doing it online.

I noticed too, the header when scrolloing, has a white box around it, the drop shadow may be the cause but using a PNG which allows for transparency might sort that white box, but that's just me nit picking .

Should actually be using CSS3 to create drop shadows - back to school for you ;)
The problem I see is that the treatment in the law is moving away from copyright infringement and on to indecency. Who owns the image is immaterial, the content and how it's used is the issue. I don't see this as an intellectual property case, it's more similar to a defamation case.

With copyright infringement a simple "cease and desist" is usually fine but now if an offending image was ever there you could be in danger of legal action.
I like the idea of a Recommended Read idea, of course by its very nature it's going to be subjective, maybe it could include the mod's comment as a "roll-over" to say why it's recommended - in the same way you'd see critics' praises on the back of a book.

Recognition features like this have a direct effect on retaining authors on the site: two-thirds of authors who have been awarded Editor's Choice have been active on Lush in the last month - twice the retention figure of authors in general.

Could I suggest a story icon for those publishing to Lush for the first time, irrespective of how good it is.

I like the way the menu bar stays at the top of my iPhone screen when I scroll down my profile page! Nice!

but if you're zoomed in you can't get all the links - it doesn't scroll - well not in chrome anyway
The top menu bar isn't scrolling properly in chrome on iphone5

It doesn't allow you to reach all the options if zoomed in
“Revenge porn” suit targets generic porn sites, Web hosts

It's a sad fact but some individuals on the net aren't happy enough with using a picture of a paid model for their avatar, some people go to so-called "revenge" sites where amateur generated porn is spread across the net. Whether this is done with the knowledge or consent or the people in the images is unknown but the article above outlines the current developments in legal action against such websites.

Could this lead to Lush cracking down on what appears to be user-generated images and videos?
Everything exerts a gravitational pull. It's extremely weak unless the thing is massive - like a planet. Everything that makes that planet wants to fall to its centre of gravity. Everything. When everything falls towards the centre of an object, over time the object will become more and more spherical.

The smaller a body is the less likely it will be spherical. Mars' two moons are much much smaller than ours and are irregular misshapen lumps.

Actually Earth isn't a perfect sphere. As it spins around it bulges a bit at the equator and is a bit flat at the poles.
I would imagine she deleted it herself. I'm not aware that she broke any of the site rules. I understand the powers that be will delete accounts if they discover one person having more than one account on here but I have no idea if that's the case here.

It wasn't her first account so maybe she'll be back.

So last week I was at my folk's house and it happened on a phone in on Radio Five Live.

First off, stop listening to Radio Five Live phone-ins - 606 will rot your brain!

The phenomenon you're referring to is like standing between two mirrors - you see the reflections bounce off each other forever. The man calling the radio station voice is first then a tiny fraction of a second later you hear his voice again from the radio giving a rather odd echoey quality. It's similar to "microphone bleed" which you sometimes get on conference calls where two of the people are in the same room on different devices.

I'm not sure there's anything that I don't think I could get my head around - but then I'm a man in my mid-forties and we think we know everything.
Magazines using photoshop to turn already beautiful women into impossibly shaped women is nothing new but this must be a new low

Apparently, this cover designer thought the lovely Jennifer Lawrence's collar bones weren't where they should be

just wrote this up cause it made me smile, plus, there's a bit of truth to it:

The Lush scoring system as it really works:

5: pretty good to brilliant and i think you're hot.
4: not all that good to ok but at least you tried - plus, i think you're hot.
3: awful and you suck and you're not even very hot.
2: i don't like you very much, you really suck and you laughed at me when i asked if you would cyber with me.
1: i'm stalking you, i hate you, but i also love you, pay attention to me, you bitch and oh, you dissed the other girl i'm stalking by giving her a 4, so take this, you big fat meanie (why won't you answer my OMs? i'm bored and very horny!)

6!

why does everyone have problems with cheetahs? i think they're beautiful. smile

It's because they can't change their spots... no wait, that's leopards.
Jealousy has a powerful influence on interactions on Lush, from 2-bombing stories to plain old IM bad-mouthing.

How many people here have switched off "comment on friends profile" or "comment on friends picture" from their activity feed because of the grief they get from other people on their friends list? How many others have considered turning off profile comments to stop your wall turning into a pissing contest amongst rival friends? One of my friends has even said to me (tongue firmly placed in cheek, of course) "How dare SHE post on MY wall".

Some people seem to thrive on provoking jealousy in others, many others hate it. As others have said, know where you are. If exclusivity is important for you, this probably isn't the best place to look for it.
You sound like you're having a great time during sex but if the guy doesn't feel like he's any more involved than your dildo might be, what's his motivation to try? If you're entirely responsible for your own orgasm all you're effectively doing is rubbing yourself off on each other.

I've been with women with whom I've really had to work hard to get an orgasm (or not), I've also been with women who seem to have something similar to orgasmic hiccups during sex. To be honest the best sex is somewhere in between, where I know she's enjoying it because of what I'm doing to her as much as what she's doing to me
I guess it depends on the circumstances surrounding both parties cheating but I wouldn't hold out much hope of full trust returning.

If they both cheated independently, ie without knowledge of the other's infidelity, then maybe they deserve each other - it's up to them to decide whether or not they can bear being with someone who is just as bad as they are but maybe they can carry on together in an open relationship. If one partner cheated as a revenge fuck for the other's infidelity, I'd say there's little or no hope for them long term.
I did a quick rummage to see if I could see any patterns in tendency to comment.

Women comment slightly more than men do, but the key factor appears to be age: woman aged 27 or over are THREE TIMES more likely to have the "Commentator" badge than those under 27. For men the disparity is even more pronounced with over 27s FIVE TIMES more likely to have the badge.

Call me old fashioned, whatever.

I see so many girls/young women, getting pregnant and having babies in their early 20s. Isnt this the prime of their lives, having fun, living it up, not being tied to parents etc. My daughter is 21, soon to be 22 and most of her friends are with child, or pregnant soon to give birth. I am a teacher by trade and see this everyday. What is it with kids, having kids? Please! enlighten me. Are the condom makers going broke because no one uses them anymore? lol. When I was that age, the furthest thing from my mind was having a kid
.

Isn't your early 20s the time when, biologically, you're meant to have children? Both men and women are at their physical peaks at that time.

Are you more concerned about the prospect of becoming a grandparent than of her having a child?

In the the UK at least, rising house prices and lack of employment opportunities are forcing young people to remain in an extension of their teenage lives: they finished university, can't use their degree, move back with the parents - they reach 25 and they're in the same situation they were in at 18 - only without the optimism.

A woman may not be able to have the career she wants or the house she always dreamed of but if she wants to be a mother there's not much anyone else can do to stop her.

I guess I have a different perspective on RACK versus SSC.

Both have "Consensual" in it. I believe that true, informed, withdraw-able consent is the ONLY thing that separates BDSM from abuse. I'm not going to say more than that - I believe it's as black-and-white as it gets. Either everyone consents, or it's a felony.

The difference between the two is the emphasis on safety.

Mike Rowe, I believe, said it most succinctly on Dirty Jobs (though he was speaking of employment rather than kink). SSC, I believe, is like saying "Safety First." In Mike Rowe's narrative, "Safety First" was a useless mantra. Clearly safety is never first on a job site where safety is a concern, because the safest course is to simply not do the work. Mike's replacement mantra was "Safety Third." For him, doing the job came first, making entertaining television was number two, and safety was number three.

That, I believe, is the essence of RACK. It is deciding that what you (and that includes EVERYONE INVOLVED) want to do is to put pleasure ahead of safety in the priority list. Not that it means doing things with a disregard to safety, but with the idea that you're not going to let a concern for safety get in the way of kink.

To paraphrase Mike, "Safety, while always in the top 5, is never first."

What is deemed as safe and sane is subjective. Unfortunately it seems that consensual also falls into that category for some people. Some people think that a woman wearing a short skirt is consent.

The definition of consent is key because it informs what's safe and what's sane. If someone tells you they want you to cut their arms off, you really shouldn't.
If you're in any kind of relationship that is not safe, sane and consensual, what kind of relationship are you in?

Am I to understand you correctly, that anyone into the BDSM lifestyle is in an abusive relationship or into self harm by proxy?

No, you're understanding me incorrectly - I obviously didn't make myself clear. I was referring to the OP's request for opinions on his definition of RACK. Granted, I have assumed what he euphemistically refers to as "non-pc fantasies" refers to things we can't even discuss here - subjects like knife play.

Yeah they often make plot changes between the book and the film
