I bought as I needed it. I hate to say this, but you really don't know how big you're going to be untril you get there. I gained more weight that I'd hoped or planned (I demanded a recount in the birthing room on our daughter's birth weight!). Just remember: it takes 9 months to gain it and it may take that long to lose it. Don't be discouraged. Besides, it's true: real men do love us regardless.

According to my mother after I was born she'd put on about 35 pounds, and it took her about 6 months to get back into "fighting trim" as she put it. That was all diet though as she's never worked out a day in her life. One of the things I'm hoping for is, uh, a little extra up top to stick around afterwards. I'm not worried about hubby though, the man called me back after I kneed him in the testicles, remember? He loves me now and forever...
Another question, did you simply buy some larger sizes as you went instead of official "maternity" clothes?
