Okey-dokey, everybody, listen up! After tussling with the mods (or rather, them tussling with me – bad language on my part!), my comp story has now seen the light of day. And – spoiler alert! – there is NO death in it for those who are too fastidious about such things.

Find it here: Revenge is a Dick Best Served Hard

As I said before, I really don't expect it to go anywhere. There is SO much talent represented on this theme that I'm surprised they even let me publish!

So, read it and sleep, everybody!

why you gotta be like that, James? i thought i taught you better. smh

Quote by Lynkeus

Isn't that rather bigoted?

how can that possibly be construed as bigoted? seriously, dude?

Just entered the comp over at the other site. It was kind of refreshing to write a story without even a hint of sex in it. smile

Oh, the Opera House too:

On the old Lush we could do that as authors, certain changes were automatically approved (I swapped a couple of mine about and I know someone else did to get her Omnium and if memory serves, facesitting came out before Lush 2, so he could have, if he'd had one that covered it. Now, we have to unpublish which means mod approval to republish and I'm not sure how happy they would be just for category changes, unless you spoke to someone before doing it.

actually, if you don't overdo it, you could just contact a mod (me) and ask nicely to do it for you - saves you time, saves us time. win-win. smile

WorldPride kicked off in Sydney this weekend. We're an odd mob: Progress Shark outside the Museum has become the festival’s unofficial mascot and queer icon.

gay sharks are all the rage in Seattle too... or should be. lol

btw, his profile will be kept up on Lush, as will his stories - they will live on. Larry was very proud of his writings and i know he would appreciate them living on, even if he doesn't. on a personal note, Larry was a friend. kind, funny, supportive, and always thoughtful. he fought his battle with good humor and grace and great courage. i am blessed to have known him and will miss him terribly.

.

Would you know though if he will be able to get his Omnium back without submitting a separate story under Facesitting if it was the reason he lost it? He was saddened to lose it and other badges. He loved collecting them like medals.

i don't know, but i will look into it.

There's a remembrance thread for Larry in the Forum. Find it here:

https://www.lushstories.com/forum/occasions/it-is-with-great-sadness-that-i-announce-that-green-man-larry-has-passed-away

btw, we will be keeping Larry's stories and poems up on Lush - he was very proud of what he'd written and would have liked that. on a personal note, i've known Larry for years and considered him a friend. he was always kind and sweet and supportive, and, although he'd been sick for a long time, battled his illness with grace and good humor. he will be missed. heart

love is in the air

but so is covid nineteen

so go wash your hands

btw, i see lots of stories where people are getting 'flipped over'. the image is kind of comical (to me). i'm picturing gymnasts or circus performers lol

Forgot to drop the link here in case anyone would like to read mine. Many thanks to all of you who have already read it. I'm working my way through the list of entries. A LOT of reading, but well worth it. I'd hate to be a judge.

Happy Fucking Valentine's Day! | Lush Stories

i only enter these so i can avoid judging. when i don't enter, i just ignore Jen until the contest is over and then tell her i missed the PM and sorry, i'll do that next one (you think i'm joking, don't you. i'm not biggrin).

The winner of the "Anti Valentine Competition" seems to have been decided early today. The great street artist Banksy wrote in Margate in Kent (GB) under the title "Valentine's Day Mascara":

https://cdn.unitycms.io/images/Cc2CmAZNKBWAXtlXGBkH6v.jpg?op=ocroped&val=1200,1200,1000,1000,0,0&sum=wRz-u86ReeE

Maybe the announcement of an Anti Valentine Competition is a bit macabre in view of thousands of femicides every year?

https://cdn.unitycms.io/images/7Vgu05GMqetB4Y-BEy62Li.jpg?op=ocroped&val=1200,1200,1000,1000,0,0&sum=szgj4v1NaK4

Femicide - name it, count it, end it

huh? fyi, not discounting the seriousness of the issue, and making people aware of it is never a bad thing, but this contest has nothing to do with it. might want to take note the body count in the entries (where there is a body count) includes both sexes.

question: can we trade these in for amazon gift cards too? and is there a fee for that or is it 1:1?

mini contest idea… who can tilt sprite the most!? Maybe we should wait on a few more mod rants to get a clearer idea how to push you over the sublime edge of madness?

you like standing in gasoline puddles while people flick matches at you, don't you.

Please can we not talk about guns on this thread! It's a lovely place for happy thoughts. I WILL issue mandatory spanking if necessary.

Not sure the Think Tank (an oxymoron of a name) would be the place to start an intelligent conversation, Rach.

But as I say, what do I know?

it was a different animal at the time. before your time, Mr Ll.

Quote by JamesLlewellyn

If instead, you talk about "gun safety", then you can get a dialog started.

Tried that in the think tank here a long while back. should have seen the reaction. got called all sorts of things, most (all) of them unpleasant. the only dialoge that got stated was tearing me apart because i was in favor of common sense. so yeah, good luck with that.

Damn it, there goes my next Micro...

don't test me. i've had a long day, Ms Pencilpusher. heart

hi. some of you know me. some of you don't. doesn't really matter either way. what does matter is that LushStories is a story site. It says so right in the name. LushSTORIES. so please, don't send in notes. don't send in lists. don't send in "letters to penthouse". they WILL be returned. send in STORIES. (I don't care how good you are, 11 words does NOT make a story - not even a micro!) and don't send in stories that have zero sex in them. or the sex is something like this. They fucked. once again, i don't care who you are - two word sex scenes are NOT erotic. IF a story takes you less than 5 minutes to write, it's probably going to be rejected. please save yourself the trouble and don't force my mods to spend more time writing a rejection note than it took you to write your damn story. it takes away from other people who are actually attempting to write stories.

thing is, i don't care if you're still learning, or if english is your second language. if you are making an attempt to write something we can publish, i am 100% behind you. if you're not, though, i'm gonna get cranky at you. you have been warned. thanks for listening.

Sprite.

stories that have lots (or any) of this. OH MY GOD, FUCK ME BABY, STICK THAT BIG COCK IN ME. OH MY GOD, I AM CUMMING. YES! YES! YES! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

I was doing final editing on The Cuckolders Inc. Randy 1 when my finger pushed the submit button.

This is twice I've done this. if I'm the only idiot that's done this I'll just go into a dark room and pout. iI it's more common than rarely, could a confirmation step be added before it's actually submitted?

do it again and i will come to your house and pee on your front door. consider this a warning. biggrin

I'm new here. Where on Lush is the best place to interact? Is that possible? Just some chat and toe-dipping.

probably the chat rooms are the easiest way to get to know peep here. smile

I will be the first to admit that the Beatles are not favourites of mine, but also that they remain highly influential on bands and especially songwriters to this day. I like them and enjoy their music, but they wouldn't make my top ten today (not that I really have one given how broad and fluid my tastes in music are).

Good morning sunny but a tad chilly today. Supposed to be warmer tomorrow.

A Red Rose and a jam doughnut please.

The beatles are hit and miss with me. The early stuff is okay. The later stuff was peppered with brilliance but also peppered with some just okay music. Revolver is amazing, start to finish, as is Magical Mystery Tour. Sargeant pepper blew people's minds because of the recording - music-wise, about half of the songs are just okay and half are brilliant. George was as good as Paul and John - he just got pushed aside as a song writer half the time. no arguing how influential they were, though - musically and culturally. Also, don't lose sight of the fact that their entire catalog was recorded in a 6 year period. most artists these days write and release 2-3 albums, tops, in that amount of time.

Not sure I had noticed a difference between viewership between male-written versus female-written stories in a general sense, nor would it bother me. With something as asymmetrical in human experience as sexuality, I'd be more surprised at a fifty-fifty ratio.

But one pattern I have noticed is that moderators get a lot more views (and Likes) than non-moderators, on average. (That doesn't bother me, either, but it seems pretty obvious and also as one would expect), and if I'm not mistaken we have more female moderators than male ones. So that could account for a significant share of the difference right there.

the story mods are invited to the team, in large part, because of their writing skills so it stands to reason that they'd get a lot more views - they're among the best of the best writers on the site. not really sure what the ratio of guys to gals is on the team, but we do have our share of heavy hitters among the men.

Get those words down on paper! There are only two entries over there and they're lonely!

i have the title down - and the idea - doing some research for it. i'll share in private, but not here - don't want to give my idea away. smile
