Can anyone tell me how I get to see my sent messages ? I can't see anywhere in the messages facility where I can do this.
Thanks
Robert

And don't worry -- Coors and and anything from Taco Bell disqualifies the US, as well
Molson and Coors are actually the same company now so this actually fits well with your previous statement. They merged almost 20 years ago. They also own Miller since 2016. I'm not a beer drinker, though, so I could care less.
So have some Molson Canadian with your pineapple pizza, though I personally prefer a nice Niagara red wine with mine.
I'd rather go hungry and sober.
I've gone hungry. Trust me, you'd eat the pizza.

Not really fond of my posts being deleted for absolutely no reason so I'm going to rage about that.
Seriously why?
I don't really think our rage should be censored kind of defeats the purpose of this entire thread..
Apparently, my rage got deleted too..
Jen, sorry but more than a few of us are obviously upset, and after all it is the "Rage Cage".
Onto RL, today was filled with stupid people. 🤬
hi there. this thread was created by me. the idea was to give people a chance to blow off steam. i purposefully added a rule that asked that people not rage against the site or its members, especially the moderation team. we get enough of that in other threads. you can rage against anything else to your heart's content. we get enough rage directed as us as it is. thanks.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I didn't know this thread was here until now. After reading the posts, I feel compelled to share my experience. I'll give you the quick condensed version.
I can't believe how nervous I am right now sharing this, but I also tried to commit suicide when I was 17.
I grew up with an abusive mother who showed me no affection whatsoever and constantly put me down. My dad was too meek to stand up to her, so I always felt alone and unloved growing up. This made me anxious and unfocused. I struggled in school and was too insecure to make friends. I searched for an escape and tried to find the love I craved. By my teen years I was already heavily into drugs and sex. Drugs made me forget, and sex made me feel wanted and loved.
My senior year in high school, I was by an ex boyfriend. I felt I couldn't tell anyone because I thought nobody would believe me. I was lost, hopeless and depressed. I hated my life. That's when I overdosed on percocets and Vodka. I just wanted to sleep forever. Even in the hospital after getting my stomach pumped, my mother was berating me.
A few months later after graduating high school, I met the man that changed my life, got me to see a therapist, got me off drugs, and eventually made me his wife.
Therapy set me free emotionally and empowered me, along with the support and love from my husband and his family, who gave me confidence and taught me to love myself. I haven't looked back since.
Without therapy, I wouldn't be writing this and I wouldn't have the most amazing life and family that a girl could dream of.
I now handle my anxiety through martial arts and meditation, and I give our daughters the love and encouragement daily that I didn't receive growing up.
It took time to heal and get my mind healthy, but it was worth the journey. I faced my demons and kicked their asses!! I'm grateful each day for getting a second chance!
Asking for help is the first and hardest step. We're all imperfectly perfect. 😊
I am a little slow these days, so forgive me hugs what a wonderful story - how it ended, not all the shit you went through. so glad you found yourself and were able to come out through the other side, Kim. truly an inspiration, so thank you for sharing. asking for help and telling your story are NOT easy to do. anyone who has been there knows that, but it's also freeing in a way, and it's helpful to those who haven't yet. much love to you. btw, i'm with you on the martial arts and meditation. two very powerful tools.

You guys actually save 5 years worth of PMs. do you like... read them too? Like just spend a couple of weeks reading all of them? Or... this is such a strange concept to me, so i'm seriously curious.
I have 15 months of PM's saved. I can't go back any further as I didn't do anything on Lush but read stories back then. I didn't even have a single friend on Lush for the 1st 5 months after signing up, because I never interacted with anyone.
When I say I have 15 months of PM's saved, they are not saved on here. Before the migration I saved all of them off site, so as not to lose any. I am very much a hoarder. I hoard all my conversations. I have many files saved. So glad it is all virtual & not physical. I would be smothered if it was physical messages that I have saved. There are so many.
I just sort of answer PMs and if the conversation continues, it continues, and if it stops, it stops and at some point I go and clean out/delete anything older than a month - i started doing this after Gav told me that my PM folder was the reason was needed a new server. lol I tend to get a lot of questions, comments. and hate mail on top of personal corrspondence. plus all those dirty notes and pix that Nicola sends me when she's been drinking. ;)

Thank you. I think that very clearly states how it will work. And that we will need to manage things for ourselves.

Expect conversation groups named Lynn/Rob0001, Lynn/Rob0002 etc. from now on. Along with five years of historical messages all lumped into one. Bet you thought they couldn't make it worse, didn't you?

I didn't win again? What the fuck?
Mags and Jake. Damn. Congratulations to both of you for writing above and beyond and pushing the limits with some amazing work. And Violet. Welcome to the podium. I knew you'd be there one day. Your work, whether it's over the top crazy dirty or thoughtful and beautiful (or a combination of both) always takes my breath away. This was more of the later and it really deserved it's top three finish. I suspect that won't be the last time we see you up there.
As for the rest of the list, damn. You all hit that magical spot on this one. You all should be impressed with yourselves. I know I am... with you, I mean. Not myself. lol

oh, and...
There's something backwards about wanting all these reverse delay effects 😜 Well, unless you combine them perhaps 😳
Personally I prefer the simple, single effect pedals over the multi effects pedals. So I'd probably go for the Backtalk, given these options, but the Eccos sure is very nice too. And while I really like EHX, I think the Attack Decay is a bit too gimmicky for me.
Eccos is top of my list and the EHX is at the bottom, if that helps you think me less gimmicky?
I like the Keeley Red Dirt too, although the Aria is actually cheaper and is paired with a compressor which i am told i should have, though i am still unsure why. lol
So, did Santa bring you one of those pedals, or haven't you been brave enough?
Kate spoiled me and bought me the Eccos and the Backtalk, and then I used christmas money to get the Aria and have discovered that compressors don't make neat sounds, but they make the neat sounds sound better, so worth it imo.
Cool! So what if you combine both pedals in reverse mode (don't tell me you haven't tried it yet)?
Err... I might have? ![]()

Y'all wouldn't believe what I got for my birthday last week:
Three of Alan's movies (Mesmer, Gambit, and Dogma), some magnetic pictures of him for my fridge, an Alan-themed coloring book, and an Alan calendar for next year.
I - is it any wonder that I've been too much of a mess to post for the past few days?
Please tell me you have Galaxy Quest. If not, why not? ![]()
Reason I rarely post in here anymore. See above.
Reason I stopped entering comps. See above.
Reason I stopped short listing and judging comps. See above.
Thanks, guys. And don't feel too bad. I hear this after every single competition, so it's not just you. For the record, it has nothing to do with the site owner not liking a style. Nicola rarely shortlists the comps these days and it's rarely the same person who does twice in a row. People who volunteer to judge put a lot of effort into being fair and picking the best stories that fit the theme. And people who make the top 10, especially the top 3, put a lot of effort into being there and probably don't appreciate being told they don't belong there.
Just my two cents.
