Anyway, go to the menu bar, select your avatar photo (at the very top).
That takes you to a page that says, "Update Member Details". Select "Edit Avatar Signature".
Type in what you want to appear in your signature. To link to one of your stories, type in the name of your story, select (highlight) it, then click on the 8th icon from the left at the top of the window, the one that shows the Earth with a chain below it. A pop-up window appears. Paste the URL for your story there, and hit "OK". Then hit "SAVE" in the button at the bottom of the window.
That's it. You can also do it bold, and in colour, but here's a tip: highlight the text you want to link to, then select the Font color, then bold it, and only then link it to the URL. If you do it in another order, for some reason, it won't do it in the colour you want.
If you think this is unclear, try asking in a bar with a more *enlightened* crowd, OK?

it will be hidden, but it will still exist.
and no, they will not, unless they ask or it's made obvious in other ways. user name, profile blog, etc. i don't see this as being an issue and it might even be nice for some of the new female members who tend to get swarmed when they first join.

we took a walk down to the park the other day. it was raining, so we wore our raincoats and just wandered around and watched the geese and ducks. it was quiet. all you could hear was the rain, really, and the birds. everything was green and you could see the ripples in the water where the raindrops hit. it was kind of a perfect way to spend an afternoon.
