It’s very simple. Okay, simple-adjacent. Best average score wins. 1st place = 1, 2nd place = 2, 3rd place = 3, top ten = 4, unplaced = 5.
Add up the scores, divide by the number of team members. No, not that kind of member.
Hi everyone. Hope the day is treating you well. A coffee please.
red team currently has a score of 5. blue team currently has a score of 0. red team wins. ![]()
i knew Elliot. he was a friend. i won't pretend to have been his closest friend, but whenever i approved on of his poems he'd always text me to say thank you and we'd talk, And whenever i posted one of my poems, he'd text me as well, encouraging me to write more.
he was also a poet. why he landed here to gift us with his words, words that he applied to 'paper' like Monet applied paint to canvas is beyond me. he was good enough to be a star. thing is, he was a star. and still is.
other things that Elliot was...
kind. sweet. tender. funny. smart. clever. caring. beautiful. human.
i am so thankful that, though he is gone, he left us with a gift. his poems. i shall forever treasure having them here to read when i need to remember that the world is a beautiful place no matter how dark it sometimes feels.
farewell my friend. i hope that, wherever you are, you never stop writing.
wait, wtf? I did not win 4th place? Rowan better be ready for a visit...
in all seriousness, wow. some really amazing stories and thank god i wasn't a judge. sadly, LB is no longer going to be my secret discovery for insanely hot stories. now I'll have to share him with the rest of you. man! and of course Ensorcled and WW are always amazing. btw, verbs? Next time, you want to push yourself from 3rd to 1st? just add a goat. trust me on this ![]()

Do what I did in church, vaguely gesture a cross while circling your hand around your chest and mumble ‘Jesus Mary homina homina homina’.
lol my last visit to a catholic church could best be described as sacrilegious and made me realize that i was hated simply for who i loved, so yeah, not a good relationship there

I've got a much better idea.
Why not have her kneel – then offer 50 "Our Fathers", and 100 "Hail Marys" in prayer.
MUCH better than a mere flogging for someone with Rachel's temperament and attention span!
i really only have a very vague idea of what that would require? so not my religions bent. sorry

The Warning are absolutely f-ing amazing. Three sisters from Mexico who have been playing together since they were kids. Their latest album (they have 4 studio albums already and the eldest sister is only 24) came out almost a year ago and kicked serious ass.
Keep me fed and error have been on heavy rotation at casa de Sprite for months now. 🤟

Said she thought it was all silicone and okay. Those MRIs can scare some people… maybe it was to distract her from claustrophobia ??? I wonder can those things set off those security things you walk through, too?
One of you try it and report back.
Yes, they can. Don't ask me how I know. 🙃

And speaking of Purdy – PurdyPeaches and I have tied one on…in the MILK category. Find it here:
is it going to be part of a cereal? I'll let myself out now.
What starts as a runny ice cream cone ends up as so much more…

Who had Land War in North America on their apocalypse bingo card?
Morning all. Windy as the dickens out. I enjoy hearing the wind howling as I write. Trying (unsuccessfully) to match Carton’s 10,000 words a week. I might break 6000 this week with a running start.
Coffee would be swell. I hope the Annie/Piquet writers thing went well. Two fine writers. I swear Annie is channeling James Joyce sometimes.
I enjoyed it. Too short though. Would have loved to just sit down over coffee and chat about writing for a few hours. Need a round table chat like that with about 6 of us...

Thank you all who came to this fab event with these fab authors. In the coming days we'll post the links to the stories mentioned in the chat so check back in this thread!
Also look out for our February Meet the Authors event featuring Sprite & ScreamQueen (formerly known as Vanessa)! It's going to be a Meet the Authors: Tentacle, Horror and Sci-Fi Edition
wait a minute... i thought it was going to be a bdsm fest!

What a coincidence, it's a cool 27 here too ... though I understand C does differ a tad from F.
In a few hours, (6 to be precise,) Piquet and I will be doing the Meet the Authors #3: Oceania Edition in the forum. See you there.
Unusual fact South Australia (where Piquet lives) is 30 minutes behind the four East Coast States (New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania.) It was one an hour behind and some business people wanted Adelaide to be on EST and 30 minutes was a compromise.
going to try really hard to be there. is there going to be coffee, though?
