I had an uncomfortable run-in with one of the landscaping guys the other day, where he misunderstood something I'd said and he reacted in a disrespectful manner. I was bummed because he made a really poor assumption about me and because I think he's an amazing guy and a hard worker. I gave it a few days, and we were able to talk calmly today and work it all out.

I met with his boss today and asked him to give us an estimate on the plants for my planters around the pool deck. Fingers crossed we can afford his vision. LOL.

Trying to find my inner calm as we get ready for the onslaught of unsupervised teens that will descend upon us at some point during the week for their Beach Week. The good news is that we managed to convince the police to use our property as a headquarters for this annual tradition. It sucks out loud. We have to spend money on a temporary chain link fence and armed guards. For the past few years, we have left town during this time. But it's our turn to stick around again this year. Fingers crossed things go smoothly.

When Sheila started having mobility issues, I bought her a gogo electric cart that breaks down and you can put it in the trunk. It was a lifesaver for her. I got it on Amazon on a fairly inexpensive payment plan so it wasn’t too badly expensive to pay for.

I feel for your dad. We’re having to go through all that and I respect you for being there for him being a caretaker is a hard job

Thanks for the great idea. We currently use a lightweight transport chair for my brother, but eventually, even that will be hard to lift into and out of our car.

Grabbing a Coke Zero for after my workout. Sweet Mother Mary, my trainer needs to stop scheduling sessions so effing early! 🙀

Then again, I will have time to finish B&B 11 today and stop Grace from pacing in my brain. Lol!

We are another couple who enjoy building things with Lego. 😊

Here is a photo showing some of the models we built over the years.

Impressive! We do mostly cityscapes because of our lack of space. But we have created a special space for the Neuschwanstein Castle that I bought him for his birthday!

And very cool to find another Lego couple! 😊

All this Lego talk has triggered painful memories! Ain’t nuttin’ more painful than steppin’ on one of those fucking things, and my son left them strewn everywhere when he was younger. Little Lego men body parts were the worst!!! 😨

Oh, without a doubt, Legos are the ultimate foot destroyer in the dark. I dealt with that pain as a Mama, and again as a Grandmama. Recently, I found this video online after going down a rabbit hole about which Legos were the worst to step on: https://www.bookofjoe.com/2025/03/which-lego-hurts-the-most-to-step-on.html

Thank you so much she really enjoyed your work and she thought of you as a friend

The feeling was mutual. Hugs!

My heart hurts. I loved Simmie. She was a bright light and a beautiful soul. I cannot imagine the pain of the loss of a cherished partner, but know that your friends here at Lush grieve with you. Much love, Kat

Busy day. Must have caffeine! Coke Zero, please!

Gym in a bit, followed by a swim. Then it's off to the market with a friend as we plan a 25th wedding anniversary dinner for our mutual friend whose husband has Alzheimer's. We figured we couldn't let this milestone go by without a celebration of sorts. So we are having a dinner at home but with a lovely meal and chocolate cake tomorrow.

Then I am meeting with the landscaper this afternoon to discuss the large planters that I want to put by the back fence on the pool deck. He set up the new irrigation system to be able to do a drip system to water the pots. Now I need to figure out how many, and what to put in them.

Tonight hubby and I will finish our Lego cityscape of Rome. They actually don't make that set anymore so I bought the knockoff brand back in January. Finally getting around to enjoying Lego building time. Yes we are geeky and we love it!

Off to the gym. Kisses! 💋💋💋

Butters has a new hobby—unrolling the toilet paper. She quite good at it sometimes dragging it out the bathroom door around the corner into the hallway toward my bedroom without it breaking. 🙄

And I just gotta say, “Go Pacers!” worship :worship:

I may have to find me a basketball player to add to my collection in Storeroom #4. biggrin

My 2.5-year-old grandson did that unrolling the toilet paper thing when we were all on vacation together earlier this month. Then he grabbed a tissue box, went behind the couch, and pulled out 100 tissues...one at a time. He's FAST! We laughed and said maybe he's part kitty!

I just can't even…

My heart is heavy this morning. I want to say to the woman who months ago said she was voting for a particular man because she had an 18-year-old son and was afraid of that woman leading our country into war… did you really believe all the shit your candidate promises and the lies he spewed?

Ok that's all the time I'm going to devote to politics here. But WTAF?

I'm home from church and heading to the pool. Beach later if the storms don't roll in again like yesterday. Wicked lightning and thunder chased us off the beach yesterday.

I'm working on new stories. Slowly but surely.

Hugs to all my Rumpie friends. 😘

Good morning everyone,

Converse with your friends. Make sure they're okay. You never know, ya know? People are scared to be open and vulnerable but they're really hurting inside. May be feeling purposeless unbeknownst to you. Please don't dismiss them by saying they're feeling sorry for themselves or such nonsense. It's depression and it's valid. Anyway, not quite sure why I said all of that.

Hello friend! I hope all is well. 😘

You are 💯% correct in that we need connections. It’s vital to our mental health and well being.

Busy couple days here but I shall be more active here this coming week.

Yes, and also some general study of the biology of the processes involved. I think some folks don't exactly "know the geography" as it were.

As a story moderator, I can vouch for that. 🙀

I'm gonna have Everybody Wants to be a Cat in my head all day. But I love it! Lol!

Taking a break from the fun today. But swimming at 9. The fence installers are not exactly speedsters but it's coming along.

Bear and Lion, feel free to put Milik’s drinks on my tab, too.

Busy day but hope to get some writing in. Grace yelled at me last night in my head. She can be pretty bossy at times. Lol.

TGIF all y’all 😘

Hello everyone

Just poking my head in to say hi.

Happy to see you here!

You’ve made quite a name for yourself since I’ve been away. But congratulations on your success. I knew you were a great writer even from the few first stories of yours I was privileged to read.

Thank you! I always appreciated your support. (Now, I might have to write Part 60 for The Office Whore.)

It's good to see you back here. I've missed your writing! Hugs for you! 😘

Stopping in for some tea on this busy Thursday. Skipping the goodies because my daughter's wedding is less than four months away. 😎🥰

Off to the gym. Then a swim in my pool. Then a hair appointment. Then back to the condo to check on the progress of contractors (fence installers and the electricians who will redo the lighting under the building).

Hope y’all are having a great day so far. If you a little pick-me-up, check out my latest story about a lucky hitchhiker. 😉

Has any woman ever had their husband/significant other want to see you have sex with another man ? And or has any man ever wanted to see their wife /significant other fuck another man ?

Yes. My latest story is a fictional piece, but it could have been real since my husband has always enjoyed watching and then reclaiming me as his.

You can mess with MAGA assholes, and you can mess with the Tangerine Turd, but don't you mess with Kat, or there won't be any place for you to hide!

Besides, I've met Kat, and she's younger than I am, so … 😜

Awww thanks Bear! It's okay if Rachel teases me a little. She's probably the only Lushie/Rumpie shorter than me! 😉

Dang, woman. you are old! giggles and runs

And I though I was sassy! Lol! I may be old but I can still catch you! 😉😘😻🧚

Oh, lil' ol me new? Nope, I've been around. I was participating lots - then got harrassed by too many stalkers- tried to ignore, changed my settings - and finally just stayed in the background doing my thing- helping others.

James has tried for years to lure me back...

Happy to see you here! I've been a bit hit or miss lately. But I have been a part of Rumps since page 1 😎

Mr. Bear, please put Beachgirl’s drinks on my tab today (and tomorrow, just for fun) 😎

Happy Father's Day to all the Dad and Dad-figures out there! I'm missing my dad something fierce today. He was a cool guy and I'm not ashamed to admit that I learned 90% of my dirty jokes from him. 🥰 It has been nearly 9 years that he's been gone.

Day 2 of the trek home. We are less than 700 miles from home. Woo Hoo! We had a great time up north but it was lovely to wake up in Tennessee and 70-degree weather this morning. It never hit 70 at any point of any day while we were up in northern Michigan. Of course, once I'm home, give me a couple of days and I will be bitchin’ about it being hot and humid at the beach.

Hey Bear, in honor of Father's Day, put every drink that we've put on your tab on mine! (well at least for the last year. Lol).

Safe travels home, Kat! smile

And another day, another senseless shooting in America. Are we great again, yet? 😕

I’ll be in my corner. I dropped off Butters for a playdate with Miss Pixel. :)

Stopped in Knoxville for the night. We will have about 10 hours to drive tomorrow, but we will stop along the way.

I'd bring Chessie to play with Butters and Miss Pixel, but she isn't a fan of other cats, or most people, for that matter. She loves me, likes my husband, tolerates our kids, and lowers herself to allow my friends/neighbors to co-exist with her.

I'm traveling today and we have been driving through periodic rain. So instead of actual rode fun (keep those hands on the wheel, babe) I let my imagination run amok and have created a fun road head story that I need to edit properly on my laptop. I hope to have it ready to submit in the next day or so. 😈

Buncha stuff going on. Long story short we are in the road heading home after being gone nearly a month. I have enjoyed the travel in Michigan and time with family and friends, but the beach is calling me home.

Plus I need to be home for the installation of our new fence, which will be the last project of phase one of the property reconstruction. This is the last part that I am helping to oversee, with the exception of the poolside bathroom floor tile in phase two. I had hoped they could reuse the existing tile that remained intact after the storm, but it's looking like I will need to choose something else. We will likely see another special assessment by the end of summer if not sooner so they can start building the new garages. With a little luck, we will be able to start that part of phase two in October. But once the fence is in I will take pics to share. I promised Kimmi I would!

Stopping for lunch here. I will check back later. Gonna try to mod some stories during the next part of our road trek.

Something with caffeine please and thank you. We leave the island in about two hours. And we may have stayed up later than anticipated last night.

Oh and I saw some buns that looked delicious. Yum!

TGIF 🥰
