Honestly don't know how you and the others have the patience. It seems a thankless task. I'll take the opportunity now to say Thank you to you all 🙏
Its always appreciated when members say nice things like this. 🥰😘

Is it too early for a glass of Moscato? It's move in day for my friend with Alzheimer’s. It's the right decision, but still heartbreaking.
On a much happier note, my daughter's wedding is in 29 days!
Lots of highs and lows lately.
Happy Thirsty Thursday, all y’all. And HUGS for all who need ‘em!

I’ll have two donuts and the red head. I’m taking her to go, if you don’t mind😎
So, I started a flash story last night just to see if the words would, ah, cum, and the next thing I knew I had a completed story called a Morning Quickie.
It’s already posted so if anyone wants to read it, here is a link
https://www.lushstories.com/stories/flash-erotica/a-morning-quickie
Can I give you half my donut, and you share the redhead with me? Both seem delightfully yummy! I've got your Morning Quickie in my reading queue to read...you guessed it...tomorrow morning.
I've been working on wedding stuff. My girl gets married one month from tomorrow! ❤️

Ben has had a crush on his best friend's mom ever since high school. Will he finally get the chance to act on his desires?

There are some great stories and also some that read pretty much the same down to sentence pattern, layered descriptions, etc. I don’t have a ton of free reading time, so I’m kinda skimming the first few paragraphs and getting out or committing. I’m looking for something I haven’t read before in these comps, ya know.
I do the same thing. Especially since many of the stories are long. I don't mind reading long ones if they are unique and well-written.

I enjoyed opening day for the NFL yesterday. I purchased the NFL plus package hoping I could watch my game with the Rams live unfortunately I can only watch it as a replay, but they did have the complete game and I managed not to know the score before I started watching.
Since I don’t wanna pay for Sunday ticket, I’ll probably end up just staying away from the TV on Sunday and catching up on Mondays
The good news is the Rams won. The game was sloppily played by both sides, and I feel the referees were as rusty as the teams.
Stafford look good at times and other times he looked extremely rusty, but that’s hardly surprising since he didn’t play at all in the preseason
But we’re 1-0 so I can’t complain
The Bucs won their game. But the Lions lost. It was an ugly game where I started to wonder if they had forgotten how to play football. Yeah, it's tough to play at Lambeau Field. But the Lions of the past couple of years should have played better. The one bright spot in the game was the rookie, Isaac TeSlaa, whose stunning catch in the end zone was incredible.
Stafford will always have a special place in my heart. He's a good guy, and his wife, Kelly, is a sweetheart.
I'm struggling to finish a story that I thought would be done and published by now. To be fair, I was a little distracted with wedding plans this weekend for my youngest. But this morning I had a chunk of writing time and I think I managed two paragraphs.
As for badges, I looked yesterday and discovered that after getting the Author 500 badge, the next one isn't until 1,000 stories. It took me 17 years to get to 500, so the likelihood of doubling that number is slim. LOL!
Been reading more Obsession stories. There are some incredible stories in the comp. It'll be hard for the judges, for sure!
My favorite is "Hop On Pop," and I wouldn't even have to change the title! LOL. I call dibs!
Next week, my neighbor with Alzheimer's will enter a memory care facility. It's been a long time coming, but heartbreaking. I am grateful that I was able to spend one more evening with just the two of us, watching "Pearl Harbor." It's the movie we always watch together when his wife needs me to stay with him so she can go to appointments and such without having to drag him along. We picked the movie originally because it's long and gave her plenty of time not to feel rushed. But eventually, it became "our thing," at least in my head. He never remembers that we've watched it together before. But he enjoys it every time.
I'll be helping his wife set up his room on Wednesday, and then she will take him there on Thursday to get settled in. It's a beautiful facility, and it will be much safer for him there. But it still breaks my heart.
Fortunately, my little bride-to-be reached out to me yesterday with some things I can help her with. It really cheered me up to focus on the wedding. 😊

Morning, Rumpies
Busy at work. Sigh. And staying up late watching football
:worship:
Planning for a week trip first of November though with my son and his gal.
I can’t read all the comp entries. Too long. Too many. My eyeballs can’t do it while I’m working. The ones I read are great, though. A tough job for judges!
Soooo many good ones! Glad I'm not a judge! I'm gonna read as many as I can but I don't think I will be able to get to all of them this time around.
Popping in to say TGIF! My darling hubby (who worked 40+ hours at his part-time job this week in 3 days) is taking me to Disney’s Animal Kingdom today. Work hard, play harder.
Our annual passes expire at the end of the month. But we will renew. Living less than 2 hours from Disney it just makes sense to have AP. We drive over in the morning, enjoy the parks until lunchtime, and bug out before the return home traffic gets too obnoxious.
Phase two construction started this week. Yesterday I watched them dig the trench where they will pour footings for my garage. Yay! It’ll be a slow process, but if all goes well, we should be able to move back into our garage before Christmas! (but I'm not holding my breath).
I'm working on a MILF story that has evolved into something more than I planned. The characters had their own ideas on the direction of the story and who am I to argue? That being said, it will be another day or two before I have time to finish editing it. But soon! Very soon! Lol.
While yesterday was lovely up here on the island, today looks like rain all day. Sigh. Good thing we brought the rain coats!
Fell asleep to the clip clop of horse hooves and it was lovely. Now its time to grab some breakfast! Sadly I have no time for boy toys at the moment. Good thing we're out of them! 🤣
Happy Hump Day! 😘
That sounds amazing Scott! My daughter and her future hubby are going to Greece for a belated honeymoon next spring. They are excited.
Next on my list would be Ireland and Scotland, but this trip will have to wait for a bit longer. Between the upcoming wedding and the special assessments due to the hurricanes last fall, we are a little low on funds. Hence the reason my “retired” hubby keeps on working.
I'm tagging along this week. I had enough frequent flier miles to book a ticket so I could join him. 😎

Thank you, Kat! Here’s what I’m thinking… still tweaking…
“Tock”
The grandfather clock lost its tick.
And the pause between tocks drove me crazy. I poked its face. I jiggled its insides. But still no tick.
Curling up in a ball, I watched September slump along, slow as Grammy’s molasses.
One dark and spooky night, it returned. Tick. I tackled October with glee.
—-
I’m gonna sit on it a bit. I have until the 15th to enter. 😃
I absolutely love it! And that's not just me blowing sunshine up your butt. It tells a complete story and is so well constructed.

Afternoon, Rumpies
And another month, another 53-word writing competition. The press failed to see the brilliance in my entry last month, so I will try again. 🤣
Although, here’s the write-up for September and it’s left me confused;
——-
Our Prompt for September: Historically, September sees stocks trade lower and those who pay attention often count the moments until it ends. Similarly, there are those counting down to the seasonal end of a certain disease-spreading arachnid. No reason to fret about either; time runs as it should and we’ll check September off our calendar soon enough.
Write a 53-word story about a tick
——-
My first thought was a story called “Tock” about a grandfather clock that lost the tick in tick tock and time then passed too slowly for the person living in the home. I told Dom Twin my idea and was met with silence on the other end of the line. 🤣
I’m going to follow through on my idea anyway. 🤣
I really like your idea! I think it's unique and clever. 💋

I like that! We were officiated by a lizard! Is it going to be a traditional church wedding? I am imagining it being on the beach and everyone being topless!
A lizard? Well, now I've heard everything!
No, it will be at a lovely venue overlooking a park in the Atlanta area. Centrally located for family and friends. And my daughter is not as wild as I am, so all tops will stay securely fastened. 😉

Morning, Kat!
I love you are walking her down the aisle alongside your hubby! ❤️ I’m sure you and the wedding will be beautiful!
Thanks! ❤️ She mentioned that she is not a piece of property to be given away, but loves the idea of being escorted by the people who raised her as she begins the next chapter of her life. Her brother will be the officiant. 🥰
Happy September all y’all! 🍁😎
As I turn the calendar over to the new month, I can see it's going to be a busy one! Which means the time will fly between now and my girl’s wedding next month!
My dress should be ready by a week from today. Fingers crossed that my gym sessions have done their job and it fits without additional alterations. Mama’s gotta look good, I get to walk my girl down the aisle along with her dad. (Mama, you did all the hard work, why shouldn't you have the honor?)
Anyway, I'm avoiding the beach today. Next weekend it will be quiet, the way I like it. So, hopefully that will give me some time with work on a MILF story I started a few days ago. 😎😉
Happy Labor Day for all those who celebrate. Drinks on me today! 🍻🍺🍷🍹🍸🍾☕😘
I'm in! I hope you'll take a moment to read.
You are my obsession...
Love StoriesI've entered the Obsession story competition with this entry: I Still Burn For You. I hope you'll take a moment to read and comment. Thanks in advance! 😘

Morning Rumpies, I have just popped in for a cup of 'fucking strong coffee' before heading out with my wife to view my oldest daughter's wedding venue, all while holding onto my wallet (just kidding). 😊
Hopefully, I get a chance to work on my comp story later. 😈
PS. Thanks for opening up Lion. 😊
How exciting! When's the wedding?
My girl gets married in 41 days. I am double-checking the spelling of guests' names so she can create place cards. I'll order the special cake for our vegan and gluten-free guests this coming week. And my dress should arrive sometime in the next week or so! Fingers crossed they got it short enough for me! 🤣🤣🤣
Pool this morning, beach this afternoon. Such is the life of a retired beach Kat. Maybe I can catch a nap on the beach later. I slept poorly due to sinus nonsense! (48 days till surgery! )
💰💰💰
There should be enough there to cover Kimmi’s drinks and then some. Hand over the remote so she can watch whatever she likes!
I have tentatively scheduled my next sinus surgery for Friday, October 17. Gotta get my girl married off first! 🥰 I realize that means being a bit miserable until then but it’ll be worth it. My dress should be ready next week. I'm so excited!
Back to the beach. Later gators 🐊🐊🐊

At least around 1000 words for a single part to a story. That length allows scene building and some character development which for me are definitely vital for any kind of story! But I think writers should avoid adding fluff or filler to hit any quota. If a story works with less than 1000 words, go for it!
Stories published on Lush should really be at least 1000 words unless they are Microfiction, Flash Erotica, or Poetry. I agree there shouldn't be filler or fluff, but there should be teasing out details to draw the reader's attention. 😉
Jay doesn't paddle, so sat in the bow of the boat, in her regalness, while I paddled for both of us.
Ummm…Duh! As I’ve had the honor of meeting Lady Jay, I’d say she deserves royal treatment. 🥰
Gym session kicked my butt and now I’m trying to motivate myself to do something productive. It’s gonna be one of those days where my ADHD has me bouncing around like a pinball starting a bunch of stuff and not necessarily finishing anything. Maybe some caffeine would help. Coke Zero, Bearkeep! Please and thanks.
