Tea Kettle is refilled and ready. There are pots of Red Rose and Lasang salchow available on the sideboard, plus all the other fine teas in the box. Sachets of Swiss Miss are available, along with the usual mound of mini marshmallows.

Big Bertha has been cleaned, rinsed, and refilled, and is now perkin' away.

Today we're using Loon Call Breakfast Blend coffee beans from Muskoka Coffee Roasters, for all the loonies in this joint!

I've put out donuts.

Plus I've got some chocolate biscotti for y'all.

Market day, with my other granddaughter visiting, so I won't wear briefs…

Y'all should go back and read some of the early pages of Rumps. Dirty Martini posted a raunchy comparison of beer and pussy. Yours truly can be found on page one responding to his quip, although it's been 15 years, and whatever emoji I posted seems to be unseeable now.

The plan this morning is to swim, but the sky looks a little iffy, so we shall see. We tried to see Fantastic Four last night, but the movie theatre lost power for a brief time, and the projector got fried in the process. We got our meals and popcorn comped, a full refund for the tickets, and free passes to see another movie on them. It was a classy way to handle things. But now we have to wait to see the movie. Ah well.

Popping in for a quick minute to say hi and TGIF. Off to the pool. Then hubby suggested some beach time after lunch. It's a smidge cooler today, so with the beach umbrellas and a breeze, that might be doable.

Taking our friend with Alzheimer’s out for his birthday tonight. The only place he could remember liking to eat at is Outback. So that’s where we are going. He’s very confused these days and it might be one of our last dinner outings as a group. His wife and son are touring a memory care facility on Friday. It’s well past time in my mind. But she wasn’t ready before now. I’m not even certain she will go through with placement. But it’s a positive sign that she’s going to look at it. My biggest concern is his safety. Sigh...😔

Anyone else having trouble with StoriesSpace? Homepage loads but after that, everything throws a Page Not Loaded errors. I PM'd Molly on here (Since PMs are broken there) but wonder if anyone other than me noticed. It is happening on both desktop and phone and on both wired and mobile networks.

I just logged onto SS with no issue. Maybe whatever was wonky is fixed?

My Lions lost. But the starters weren’t playing.

Had a nice afternoon on the beach with our houseguests. Nice breeze. Still hot AF but under the umbrella it wasn’t too bad. We had some cloud coverage and I was able to go swim in the gulf for a bit.

No gym tomorrow, but pickleball. Then a pool swim. So it’s off to dreamland for me. 😘

Discoveredast night that our local ice cream joint has Italian ice last night and got the lemon! YUM! I’ve pretty much sworn off ice cream since January because it messes with my allergies and digestive system. So it was nice to be able to get a cup of something last night when we took our friends out to Candy Kitchen. 🍨🍧

(Okay, after three long years and a battle with my “cousin” it looks like my aunt’s estate will be settled soon and I can afford the next special assessment for repairs from the Hurricane debacle last year. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻)

My “nephew” and his girlfriend are here for a visit until Sunday and my brother is with us for a month. So the bed n breakfast is in full swing. I went to the beach with our guests for a few hours after lunch. Even under the umbrella it was too hot to take a nice beach nap. 🥵🔥

But I try to play vacation when people come to visit. Tonight will be fun. Dinner out and then game night! Gotta love it when 20 somethings like to hang out with the old folks. Hahaha.

I did some writing in the wee hours this morning before the gym. Will keep chipping away at the couple of stories I’m trying to get finished sooner than later. I may hop on later to mod if time allows. Trying to do my part to keep the queue from spilling over like meatballs rolling off the plate.

And FYI, Kimmi’s toys can bite softly or with a vengeance and everything in between. 😉

Flight was delayed and I didn't make it home until today. Still waiting for my suitcase to catch up with me. Going out to dinner with the neighbors. Too effin' hot to cook! 95 F with a feels like temp of 112 F! You know it's hot when your neighbor texts and says, "It's too hot to swim!" 🤣🤣🤣

Did some writing and modding...now it's time to get my guest room ready for my friend's son and his girl. They come to visit every summer for about 5 days and are WONDERFUL guests!

Good morning. Some Cole Zero to get my brain focused as we spend one more day showing my girl’s fur tire in laws the highlights of Detroit. So much fun was had yesterday both at the shower and hanging out downtown. Hitting Eastern Market this morning.

Tomorrow we pick up my brother and take him back home with us for a month. Since I won’t be galavanting around as much for the next month, I may actually get some writing done!

Good morning from rainy Michigan! Had a fun night with my kids and grandkids last night, as well as my youngest daughter's future MIL and SIL. Today is the wedding shower, and tonight we will visit another eatery in downtown Detroit. I'm excited to celebrate my girl, but also to see ALL of my sisters today. It's a rare occasion that we are all in the same place at the same time. Since some of them can't come to the wedding this fall, it may be one of the last times for quite some time.

I'll have some breakfast tea, please, while I do a bit of modding before it's time to get ready. And welcome, Hunny!

Probably not for a while. I won't rule it out, but we both decided we travel a lot and feel bad leaving a kitty behind with a sitter. Chessie obviously fared well (she lived 20 years) but she would “yell” at us for about 20 minutes when we would arrive home. Perhaps in time we might consider a senior kitty that needs a good home. But my heart wouldn't be ready to love another cat very soon. 🐾🐾
