The year is still 2030. Jessica was forty, a senior manager, and, following her separation from her husband, she moved back in with her mum, Pamela, who was sixty-five.  

Jessica had followed the consultation that had taken place regarding the reinstatement of spanking as the standard punishment within a family, rather than grounding. Even though she had never been spanked, or maybe because she hadn’t been spanked and had only ever been grounded, she voted for the reinstatement of spanking.  

Jessica had never mentioned to her mum, nor to anybody else, for that matter, that for many years now, probably since her late teens, she had built up a fantasy in her own mind of being spanked. It wasn’t that she was naughty, because she was one of the best-behaved girls, and was made a Prefect and then Head Girl in the sixth form, and, at university, got a first-class degree.  

Pamela knew that she had never spanked her daughter and certainly knew that grounding Jessica had caused her more than a little stress over the years, but, even so, she was one of those who saw spanking as being too harsh and so voted against the reinstatement of spanking.  

Pamela always told her friends just how well-behaved Jessica had always been, and how hard-working, and that was now paying off because her daughter’s hard work had earned her a senior managers’ position.  

It was very upsetting for Pamela when Jessica separated from her husband, and when Jessica told her mum that while she was extremely well paid, she had, over the years, spent so much money on holidays and cars and the like, that she didn’t have enough savings to buy her own property. Pamela, therefore, offered Jessica a home with her, and was very pleased when Jessica immediately accepted the offer and clearly was so grateful.  

Pamela had been used to living by herself as she had divorced her husband some years ago but did have the money to buy her own property. That was why Pamela now realised that, as clever and well-behaved as Jessica was, her daughter clearly had little ability to manage her own finances.  

What also happened was that Pamela reverted to suffering the stress that she had suffered when Jessica had lived at home before she got married. Jessica did tend to argue with her mum, always pointing out what she thought should happen, even though her mum thought the opposite should happen.  

Pamela was also always complaining to Jessica that she didn’t keep her informed on things like the time that she would be home. Jessica more often than not got home much later than the time that she had told her mum that she would, and Pamela always got stressed worrying about where her daughter was. Mobile phones were in play, but Pamela felt that she might be seen as being a helicopter mum if she kept phoning Jessica and asking where she was. So, she didn’t and suffered the stress.  

In those years when Jessica was married, Pamela became used to a more stress-free life but accepted that she had no choice but to see the end of that if she was going to offer Jessica a home again.  

Since Jessica moved back in, Pamela also knew that she couldn’t actually impose a punishment on Jessica. Being forty, Pamela felt that Jessica was far too old for that. All that Pamela could do was point out to Jessica the stress that she was causing and ask her to think more responsibly in future. Jessica always said that she would, but, of course, didn’t.  

Even though Pamela was feeling more and more stressed, even when the public consultation came out about reverting from grounding to spanking, Pamela still didn’t agree that spanking was the right punishment. She did remember getting stressed when grounding Jessica, who would constantly give her the silent treatment and one-word answers, but then, so did lots of others her age. Therefore, Pamela felt she should vote in the way that she actually thought, and so voted to retain grounding.  

Jessica, though, had other thoughts. She listened to the arguments and remembered that being grounded was very boring indeed. Mind you, she had never had the courage to ask her mum to spank her instead of grounding her.   

After Jessica got married, whether she was grounded or spanked was never an issue, although her sex life was far from perfect, and that led her to fantasise about things of a sexual nature. She never understood why, but her main fantasy was being spanked. She found that strange, bearing in mind that she was a senior manager and had lots of people reporting to her at the office. However, because Jessica hadn’t answered the phone, mainly because Jessica had forgotten her phone and left it at home when she went shopping, Pamela didn’t feel that she could go by herself in case Jessica was in some kind of trouble.  

When Jessica came home, and it was clear that she had forgotten all about the theatre, Pamela was upset and said, “What am I going to do with you, Jessica? You really must be more thoughtful. After all, it isn’t just this time that you have, basically, disobeyed me and not got home on time. There are all sorts of things that you don’t do, like tidying your bedroom and not clearing away your breakfast things before going to work, leaving me to clear up after you.”  

Jessica knew that she was getting worse and worse since coming back to live with her mum, and this time just blurted out, “You can always give me a spanking, Mum. That might well teach me to be better behaved.”  

Pamela didn’t think that Jessica was serious and said, “Come on, Jessica, that can’t happen. You are forty, after all. You are also a senior manager in the office, and I suspect you do take your work very seriously, given the senior position you are in, so you just need to think more like that when you’re at home.”  

Jessica thought that, as she had brought up the subject of a spanking, she may as well continue and say, “You could even set me a whole set of rules, Mum, and, whenever I broke any, then you could give me another spanking.” After a few moments, Jessica added, “Anyway, Mum, maybe being forty isn’t too old to be spanked. It’s your house, you should be the one to set the rules, I need to keep them, and if I don’t, I should maybe get a spanking.”  

Pamela was getting annoyed with Jessica, thinking that her daughter was just winding her up rather than taking the discussion seriously. So, she ended the discussion by saying, “Maybe you should just grow up, Jessica.”Pamela then walked away and went into the kitchen.  

Jessica did think seriously about the discussion, and, probably because of her fantasy, she certainly didn’t see being forty as being too old to be spanked by her own mum. She was well aware this was a kink for lots of people, but now that the public consultation on reinstating spanking instead of grounding had taken place and the new law was passed, meaning that those over sixteen should be spanked rather than grounded, Jessica worked out that there was no upper age limit for being spanked stated under the new law.  

Jessica then investigated the services being offered by the Spanking Reinstatement Service and saw how one family member could ask them to get involved where the other family member refused to follow the law, and grounding continued to be the punishment in their family. It didn’t take much for Jessica to realise that, once she pointed out to the SRS that the law didn’t have an upper age limit, they would agree to her request that she wanted them to help her be spanked as her punishment.   

Jessica made the application to the SRS and was delighted when they said that they would agree to come, accepting that there was perhaps a shortcoming in the new law, but that Jessica was right, and there was no upper age limit.  

It was also pointed out that the law did not require the continuation of grounding as the punishment, but simply that the spanking was now made the punishment to be given rather than grounding.  

Jessica’s application said that she had not obeyed her mum, had got home later than she said she would, and knew that her mum was stressed by that. However, her mum refused to spank her, and so she wanted the help of the SRS to get her mum to use spanking in future. She specifically asked for a Disciplinarian who was her mum’s age, so about sixty-five.   

The response was immediate and said that if Jessica could give a time when her mum would be at home, then a SRS Disciplinarian of that age would come to the house at that time, give Jessica a spanking, force her mum to watch, and then force her mum to accept that spanking must be the punishment for Jessica in future.  

Once that reply was received, Jessica did momentarily feel concerned about what would happen if it turned out that she didn’t like to be spanked. After all, she knew that the rules were that every spanking had to hurt much more than the one being spanked could easily cope with. What if her mum got so into spanking her that it happened very regularly, and Jessica decided that she hated being spanked?  

Well, the concern was only momentarily, as Jessica was very confident that, while she would find being spanked very painful, she wanted it to happen, and, afterwards, she would hope that being spanked regularly would make her a far more responsible daughter at home.  

What Jessica didn’t know was that Pamela had also been giving more thought to her daughter’s very firm request to be spanked. What if Jessica was actually serious about the request after all, Pamela thought?  

The day after Jessica had told her mum to spank her, Pamela had a coffee morning with a few friends. Partway through the morning, one of the friends said, sarcastically, that both her daughter, who was forty, and her granddaughter, who the friend had said was now nineteen, had both been argumentative, and didn’t stop shouting at each other even when the friend told them to stop. The sarcastic comment made by the friend was that she felt as though she wanted to give both her daughter and granddaughter a bare bottom spanking.  

What struck Pamela was the way that several of the other ladies said, also sarcastically, that they fully understood what the friend was going through because they had suffered the same themselves, and maybe giving them all a spanking was the right answer, particularly because of the recent change in the law.  

So, Pamela was thinking that if Jessica disobeyed her and asked for a spanking again, then she would jolly well give her daughter a spanking.   

It was the very next day after that coffee morning that Jessica had arranged for the SRS Disciplinarian to come to the house. Jessica returned home from the office, and it was six o’clock. Pamela was already home and making dinner. It was a hot summer's day, and the dinner was going to be a cold one. Jessica knew that was the case.  

Once Jessica got home, she changed out of her office clothes and into a vest top and bra, with a short skirt and knickers, but that was all. She didn’t have a vest top that showed off her midriff, but did put on the shortest vest top that she had.  

At exactly six-fifteen, the front doorbell rang, and Jessica left her mum to open the door.  

Pamela was really surprised to see a lady her age standing there, with a T-shirt with the huge initials SRS across the front of the T-shirt.  

Once the door was opened, Jessica came into the hallway, went up to the front door, saw that it was the disciplinarian, knew her name, and said, “Thank you for coming, Mrs Brown. Please do come in.”  

As Mrs Brown made her way into the living area and then to the dining table, Pamela found it hard to believe that a SRS Disciplinarian was actually in their house. What’s more, Jessica was obviously the one who made the invitation.  

That got Pamela really annoyed, although she knew that she could not say too much because the disciplinarian could impose all sorts of punishments on her as, no doubt, she was the one the disciplinarian believed was the family member who was not prepared to introduce spanking. Of course, Pamela knew it wasn’t a question of reintroduction with her, because she had never introduced spanking in the first place.  

However, as she had been thinking so recently about spanking Jessica, given the discussion that took place at the coffee morning with her friends, she decided to ask in as respectful a tone as she could, “Please, Mrs Brown, can I ask you a question?”  

Mrs Brown glared at Pamela but agreed, and said, “What is it, Pamela?”   

Pamela took a deep breath and then replied, “I know that I refused to spank Jessica when she asked me to because she was forty, and I thought she was too old and was possibly not serious. However, I can now see that she is very serious, and so, my suggestion is that I give Jessica the spanking under your supervision, and I agree unconditionally to use spanking in the future whenever she disobeys me. By that, I mean literally whenever she disobeys me, as the new law requires?”  

Mrs Brown kept a straight face but knew that this wasn’t the first time that she had arrived at a home and got this kind of reaction. She saw it as part of the reason for the success of the SRS.   

So, Mrs Brown replied, “Yes, Pamela, that will be fine. I must make it clear, however, that this spanking and every spanking must leave Jessica crying buckets of tears. Is that how you propose dealing with her today and in the future?”  

Pamela was relieved with the reply, and said, very firmly, “Yes, Mrs Brown, that is exactly how I will deal with my daughter.”  

Jessica was surprised at what her mum was saying, but was very pleased about it. She would have preferred to have done this without bringing in the SRS, just in case she got the spanking, but didn’t want to have it happen again. However, Jessica told herself what she had to do if she hated being spanked, was never ever disobey her mum and then not get spanked again. She had to admit that that was extremely unlikely, but that was at least available.  

Jessica noticed that Mrs Brown didn’t ask her whether her mum spanking her now was acceptable, but, as the disciplinarian, just decided that it was. Either way, Jessica knew that it really didn’t matter whether she agreed or disagreed, because it was something that was definitely going to happen.  

What Mrs Brown did say was, “I agree that you will carry out this spanking under my supervision. You will have to sign the form confirming that you will use spanking in future. As was pointed out in Jessica’s application, there is no upper age limit, so, as things stand, you spanking her whenever she disobeys you is something that will go on for years, at least unless the law is changed.”  

Pamela replied, “Understood, Mrs Brown, I will definitely be signing the form confirming that.”  

With all of that settled, Mrs Brown said, “Okay, Pamela, you need to sit down on one of the dining chairs.”  

As soon as Pamela had positioned the chair facing into the room and sat down, Miss Brown glared at Jessica and instructed, “Go and stand to the side of your Mum. Put your hands on your head and do not resist her taking down your skirt and knickers.”
