The first time I saw you, 

You were leaning against a bar;

Looking around the room,

Smoking a cigarette.

I walked over,

Standing a few feet away,

Ordering myself a drink.

That is when I first noticed your eyes,

Dark brown with a golden centre,

I thought you looked so handsome.

A year later

We have spent so much time

Slowly learning;

Working and enjoy life together,

Dealing with challenges as they arise.

Things haven’t always been easy

But we have found a formula that works for us,

Now believing,

Our goal within reach.

Today, I stand looking in the mirror,

Watching you move closer,

Feeling my heart beat quicken

As you place your palm on my face

Using your fingers softly

To brush the hair out of my eyes.

Leaning in hesitating briefly

As our lips meet.

The intensity growing

As I drag my finger nails down your back, 

Then wrapping my arms around you

Holding you close

As I draw your bottom lip into my mouth

Nibbling on it softy.

Looking in your eyes

I see passion, love and lust

Burning deep as we moan words of love.
