In my box curled up inside
Lay six secrets side by side
Forbidden fruits that bring me shame
Yet from the box they call my name
I cannot share I must conceal
For most the temptation isn’t real
They cannot see or understand
Instead they all just reprimand
But I still love my secret box
For whats inside it quiets my thoughts
A cotton bouquet of colors array
Line my box and fuel my day
First is black it hugs me best
When I’m down or feeling stressed
Then there’s times I feel subdued
That’s when I reach for nude
Third I call my old baby blue
I wear at work and at the gym too
Green is great wrapped round my head
Or while I lie asleep in bed
I’ll wear my red to match my bear
But never tell, no never share
Last is grey it seems so bleak
But on my body I feel most chic
My six secrets kept locked away
Although I long for such a day
To share my fruits forbidden no longer
In hopes to make relations grow stronger
But for now my secrets remain
My safe place I’ll solely maintain
The one place I feel most free
My one place I feel most me
