Authors, what was your first erotic story or poem you had published here?

Reading it back now, is there anything you would change if you were to re-submit it?

How do you feel your writing has developed since then (if at all)?

I'm just nosy.

Mine was a story called "The Gift." I think I put it up in December of 13 or thereabouts.

I'm happy with the story in terms of plot, sex, etc.

I think my prose is tighter now, so there would likely be a host of small changes throughout if I were to be submitting it now, working from that original as a rough draft.

It's certainly NOT among my best stories, or at least I don't remember it as such. But it's not complete moose vomit.

Before my first solo story I wrote a long series of stories with another Lushie. This first effort was called "Stacey's Choice". The idea for the story came to me thinking about being out and about after a long winter. June days are beautiful in my city, lovelier than the humid heat that comes later in the summer. The days are warm and clear, the sky blue, the parks lush and there are flowers on lampposts and lining sidewalk cafes. I also thought about the vibrancy of the south of France and its colours as reflected in its art. The main character was (I hope) an interesting woman who, like me, had many contradictions. She meets someone by chance and the story unfolds.

I was happy with the story then and would not change it now. It was a debut with some expectations as I was a story moderator then and fairly demanding with others'work. I was relieved that it was well received because it is in the "Love Stories" category, not the most popular one here. It was written two years ago and has earned a "Famous Story" badge for exceeding 30,000 views.

For the most part my works have been well received. NOW, I am about to tackle a story with a lot of emotion and sensuality. If anyone can give me a couple of ideas it would be appreciated

I think it was Band Camp. I'm too lazy to go back and check. I love that story. It's still one of my favorites. I wouldn't change a thing, unless I missed a comma or something.

My writing has evidently developed according to the mods' estimation. My first 25 stories here never earned a single RR, then mysteriously, my latest 5 stories have all gotten RR's or an EP one after the other. Why none of my older masterpieces ever won anything is a complete mystery to me. Go back and read my earlier stuff, mods and modettes! You might find some gems you missed the first time around!

My first story goes back to a local 'smut rag'. I couldn't punctuated then and still cant.

It is far, far better to miss a comma than to miss a period!

My first story "published" here is Two Dozen Strawberries (shameless link/plug follows) which I wrote a few years ago. It may also be my favorite because it is pretty much a true story, although I put thoughts into my then girlfriend Alice's head. But we were pretty much in sync all the time (much, much more in sync than she and her husband ever were) so I am pretty sure I got her thoughts right. I'm damn sure I won't be asking her, in any event! I did change the cover picture once, but nothing else.https://www.lushstories.com/stories/lesbian/two-dozen-strawberries-1.aspx

My first story here was posted in July of 2012. It no longer appears on the site. It's reincarnation, revised and resubmitted, appeared in April of 2014. Eventhough I reworked it I'm still not overly proud of it, but it has garnered some 13,000 views and is less than a thousand words long.

My punctuation would be worked on if I bothered to make any more revisions. It could certainly have been longer. I did try to achieve a sense of place, and that is still one of my main goals in most of my fiction.

I'm always working to make sure the story is paramount. Even if it is erotica, the reader should still be engaged in the story being told.

My first here this time is "My Wedding Gift". I was here a few years ago and don't recall which was first. I definitely see a huge difference in my writing from when I started back in 2005. Someday I'll learn to place a comma in the correct spot.

I joined the site about a year ago. My first story was called In The Stacks. It's not too bad, and the reception I got from my readers definitely encouraged me to write more. 1 year and 16 stories later (one of which was published in three parts), I still think it holds up well. Since then, I've written stories for several of the different categories on this site, but the main change in my writing has been more attention to the guidelines of the site.

The one entitled "One Beautiful Morning". It is no longer first in my list because it was withdrawn and substantially re-written.

Given that it has already been re-submitted, I guess, yes. I doubt that I would revisit it a second time, though. The first time was because of some personal discomfort with how I did something in the first version and also because it was my first Lush story and wasn't as well done as it would have been had it been done later in my Lush writing.

My stories have gotten longer (on average) and a bit plottier, I think. I'm a bit more thorough with proofing and editing now, too, I would say. Experience and a stint as a moderator helped encourage that.

It shows, too, in that the much later "Summer Storm" is a better riff on the same theme as "One Beautiful Morning" (older man deflowers young woman). It even got an RR.

My first story posted on Lush is called Maya's Revenge (posted a link below if you're curious), about a wife's lesbian experience with a female cop. It did well I guess, I didn't go screaming and running away from the site. If I would change anything, hm, I think the flashback/retelling of her day up until the encounter occurs at an awkward point, I would probably make that a little smoother or move it so not to disturb the pace of their meeting.

I think mine was about a sexting exploit that I had with a work colleague. It was on here on my first account which I deleted in a fit of pique about five years ago. If it was saved at all it was on an old PC or pen drive, so if I republish it would be a complete rewrite. Who am I to say whether there would be an improvement?

My first is called "Tasting the fruit" Its a part one of two actually and is a first time story about a girl and her female teacher ( I know cliche )
I actually probably wouldn't change anything though ..I go back and re read all my stuff every now and again just to see if I have made improvements since.

The first story I had published on Lush was entitled "Brother Sucker" (no blood relation - best friend's brother). It's hidden at the moment but may make a reappearance at some point.

It's interesting to see how dense the text looks on my early Lush stories. I've developed a deliberately choppy style which I now use for stories which will be screen-read, rather than read on paper - whether that's an improvement or not is entirely subjective.

I had written a number of stories with another Lushie in 2012/13 that were well received and built my confidence to write alone. "Stacey's Choice" was that first effort. It was written about a character who is a lot like me, in my city in early summer, and includes memories of the south of France and the art it produces. It is admittedly a romantic story, with a twist. I remember sitting and watching the number of views increase along with votes and comments and being relieved and happy. It was well received and was voted an Editor's Pick ribbon, auspicious for a first effort. I admit being proud of myself after the nervousness I had felt before submitting it. It has earned a "Famous Story" badge.

I think the story stands up even a couple of years later. I wouldn't change anything. Here is the link if you wish to have a peek at it:

I do that too! One sentence paragraphs, or very short ones, lots of dialogue. I would use far fewer paragraph breaks if I was writing for the printed page. Took me awhile to figure that out.

My first story (Reflections) was kinda hot, but not very good. I had the sex part right, but no emotion, no connection, no larger themes at work. Not much of an ending. At least it was short.

My first submission here was an erotic poem, free verse of course. It's called "Messy Love" and is still here. I wasn't bold enough to submit any fiction at the time. It was received well. Everyone was pretty kind to this newby.

https://www.lushstories.com/stories/erotic-poems/messy-love.aspx

You will have to give it a read and let me know if you think I've developed any as a poet. Seriously. I hope that I have. It is definitely different from "The Muse's Poem", but I can't really see conveying the moment that birthed it any other way. So no, I wouldn't rewrite it.

My first actual story here was really not a story at all, but more or less a scene. It's called "Lessons" and I need to remove it. I've found it plagiarized a couple of times in other places and I find that amusing. I didn't spend very much time on it at all. I can definitely see where I've grown a bit as a writer. Submitting it was scary. Remembering makes me laugh. Once again, you'll have to let me know what you think. I'm cringing already.

My first story was/is My Favourite Word, which I wrote for the Flash Erotica competition.

I didn't know that you needed X number of votes to even be considered, and submitted it at the last moment, causing quite the kerffufle, as I was advised it was too late to be considered and did not take that news well, arguing, I believe, that contest rules should stipulate a closing time in GMT.

Anyway! My first story was also my first RR, which made writing my second story crazy scary, because I felt like I'd had a bar set for me. I've relaxed since.

So...my first story: https://www.lushstories.com/stories/flash-erotica/my-favourite-word.aspx

The first erotic story I published here was called In The Stacks, about a shy girl who discovered her sexual confidence watching a 'pervert' in a library masturbating into books - yeah, it's a bit off-beat, but I think it still holds up well after a year.

The first erotic story I wrote, I published a little later. It's called Sincerely, For the First Time. It's about a reunion of college friends, and reawakening of old feelings with a woman who is off-limits.

My first erotic story was A one night stand in Spain | Lush Stories. I don't think it's either my best or worst story, but it was quite popular and the encouraging comments really motivated me to write more erotica.

I'm new here. I'm still waiting for my first (Katrina) to be published here. Although I've been writing for a long time now and this story was originally written in 2014.
I spent most of my years writing and publishing on my own website. With next to no readers since I never told anyone about my website. I closed that site down about five years ago and have just been writing on my computer and not putting it anywhere remotely public. So this is the first time I'm putting my work out there on a community reading/publishing site. I've signed up for a couple, but I really like the format of this site.

I put this same story on another community (I won't name names) but it's gotten a lot of comments, mostly negative. I don't think it was the right community/category for that story. We'll see how it does here. At least LushStories has the proper category for it. That said, the story is ten years old, admittedly cliche, and isn't really written to satisfy hetero males. Who are the ones getting angry about it.

Most of my writing is fantasy based and I'll be publishing more of that here. But even then I like to dive into weird stuff. Like the story is going fine and all typical, princes and princesses and stuff and then one of the villagers gets poked in the rear with a wooden spoon and gets all pregnant from it. That's not in an actual story, just a made up example. I think it's fun to get all weird like that. Which is why I write erotic fiction.

As for the actual first erotic story I ever wrote. I'm not sure. The earliest one I still have is called The Erotic Adventures of Peter Kums. A fun campy Indiana Jones style piece about a guy walking a strange world and encountering and having sex with people of different civilizations. Starting with a tribe of all amazon type women. That one was written for more of a hetero male audience. I haven't read it in a while, so I'm sure it's pretty bad. At the very least I'm sure the grammar and formatting are atrocious. I should probably get it out, dust it off, and reformat it.

Does anyone know how long it takes for stories to be approved? I think it's been about 24 hours now. Just curious.

I recently deleted everything I have written. Then a month or so later I wrote a poem… I was not encouraged.

My first published Lush story was entitled "One Beautiful Morning" but it eventually got taken down for a rewrite so another took its place as my oldest story. That was on my old, now deleted, profile.

Celebrating a couple of my older, less viewed stories:

Have you ever had love Rekindled?

The god came to her In the Waters That Bring Life.
