I define nothing. Not beauty, not patriotism. I take each thing as it is, without prior rules about what it should be.

If I told you my favorite musical I'd have to tell you what my favorite breakfast cocktail and summer salad are as well.
That is a near impossible question for me as I love musical theater. My tendency though is to like the ones with the greatest number of great songs, and almost ignore the theatrical portion. I know it is one of The King and I, Les Miserables, Fiddler on the Roof, and Music Man of course.
Here are some more I'll add to my first post...
Once More With Feeling
Rocky Horror
The Music Man
A Hard Day's Night (does that count?)
The Blues Brothers ( " )
I like Phantom of the Opera. But I haven't seen very many Musicals.
Seven Brides For Seven Brothers
Fiddler on the Roof and Saw Aida in NY awesome. Written by Elton John and Tim Rice. Great great show
Oliver was a wonderful production would loved to have seen it when Rowan Atkinson (mr bean)played Fagin
Also enjoyed west side story.....
Wicked! Have seen it three times.
South Pacific my dad took me to see it when I was a kid.
Phantom of the Opera
Camelot
Funny Girl
Beauty and the Beast
Lion King
Oh God, you're gonna' make me choose?!
If I had to pick the top 10, I'd be here for hours!
Whoever asked this originally is some kind of demented sadist, man!
...
In other news, I should probably get some sleep.... The effects are showing...
When I was growing up, my parents took me to see the stage version of Beauty and the Beast in London. I don't really remember many of the songs, but I do remember the whole experience being quite magical.
I've seen plenty of film versions of musicals, but that's the only one I've seen live.
Phantom Of The Opera, have seen it many times and it never fails to make me emotional. Le Miserables, Into The Woods are other favorites.
Les Miserables
Phantom of the Opera
Jesus Christ Superstar
