Keeping up with my weekly short story upload, not factoring in approval time.

Also working on my first erotic fantasy novella.

For a later this year release, I've just started laying out what will be my 7th novel. Though currently I'm just revisiting the last two chapters of my first novel, adding cover photos and the novel's tag, plus a little housekeeping on the grammar. Doing this is also helping me refresh myself on where my characters came from as I continue their journey. 😊

Just had a micro fiction story published. I've also submitted an old story of mine posted elsewhere a long time ago. It's been updated a bit. About, eventually, a threesome. A man meets a woman in a bookshop and things develop....

Yep, two-parter. Part one is now in the queue. Given backlog, I figure I can use the waiting time to do final edits on part two.

Im new to writing in the depths of lush a few poems and stories so far. I want any opinions on story length and depth of detail... i like my flash erotica quick and easy to produce... but i want to start branching into series with 6-8k words per chapter... im worried they might be to detailed or too long for people to enjoy ... please any help would be lovely

Pretty much finished the first draft of the last few chapters of Pussycat Park. Just submitted the next. Now just need to clean up the last two and I'll put them up over the next two weekends and then I'm done with a literal novel! I'm very proud of myself!

After that I'm settling in a new job but I should have time on my hands during bus rides and a very long lunch hour to write. Going to focus on my Free Use story after that.

I know my Pussycat Park series puts off a few people because of the chapter length. That being said, it's an absolute blast to write for and you can do a lot with long chapter formats. I have a few extremely loyal readers to the series who love the format, and those are about 10k chapters.

When people ask on these forums, 'What is the best length for a story,' I always answer, 'The correct length'. There are stories you need more words to tell. Don't shy away from a good tale because you're worried the word count will chase people off.

Yes!!! My friends said the same thing... write for myself first and the appropriate poeple that appropriate my art will follow

Part 1 of my new story is live (link below). Part 2 is getting some edits and a cover image today. Might even put it in the queue but we'll see how I feel about today's edits. Part one is mostly character development with a couple brief, intense, sex scenes. Part two takes that and goes all in with the sex.

I should be working on my 7th novel, but it is hot, and writing complete books is extremely draining, just like the heat. So I slipped into writing something not quite so taxing until I have the free time to spend writing the novel. The novel's timeline and storyline are complete; I just need to write the words.

So instead, look out for a series of standalone stories from me following a married couple as they go through life. Each story is a different genre and will appear at my own pace. When I have completed this story journey, I will be very close to finishing my Omnium Badge. 😊

I am hoping that I will be in the position to submit the first story next week. 😳😀

Depends on your goals. You want to attract more readers, then go with sub 4000, hell even sub 3000 words.

6-8K chapters are fine, once you accept that you will attract less readership generally.

😕 Hello, I am still here. Not hiding but cursed by a story I should have deleted.

No, I kept it, and it was there, a grumpy man in the corner for five years until I showed it some attention. It is a erotic crime thriller about a Mafia wife, a challenge because I did not write a crime thriller in that competition. Mon dieu, I will not publish it until I have finished, I just know I will miss something in the earlier chapters so vital to the ending.

I crossed the line at 40,000 words today, and I think (hope and pray) there are 12,000 words left to go. Thirteen chapters, with lots of sex with a true femme fatale, or she is?

I’ve just published my sequel to unknown caller and I’m about to publish my sequel to watching Sarah.

I don’t usually like to break my stories up in parts. I find a delay far too much to get the sequel up and I would prefer to put them up in one long story rather than two shorter ones.

I have a fantasy story for StoriesSpace that began as a possible comp entry that I am trying to finish for regular publication.

For here, I have the first bit of another Paris story but still contemplating where to go with it.

And there is one sitting there that I could finish off about a guy having some backyard fun with his transgender neighbour but I kind of keep forgetting about it.

Still working on my next chapter. Last one was in February. I pretty much wrote it out months ago but I got fed up of it during editing so here I am, restarting it from the beginning. I'm struggling with a character's motivation. I fully understand what it is, but writing it through the eyes of another is difficult when they're only seeing it one-sided. Things appearing to happen 'just because' doesn't sit well with me so I need to get that reasoning done right.

I'm glad it won't be too long until I can reveal parts that tie some bits up nicely and make it all sensical.

I got drunk with my special friend, Cami. Our relationship is a very long story, and there are small parts of it here.

It was the prelude to very drunken sex. She told me that she wanted to cuckold her first husband.

She never did... until now. 😜 I did it, and the dirty bitch got plenty, including impregnated.

The moral of the story is... sharing two bottles of Sauvignon Blanc with me provides a lot of inspiration.
