I can count on one hand the number of people who have contributed anywhere near as much as my dear friend Rachel has to this site over the last 11 years.

She came here a fresh faced innocent (yeah right!) back in June 2010, and having read her first few stories, I soon realised we had a special talent on our hands. Indeed, in the following year, her excellent "Paris in Flames" took out our "Summer Loving" story competition, and went on to become a legendary story. She's been placed in competitions off and on ever since.

Take a look at some of her impressive stats:

2 Legendary stories (over 100K views).
Over 1 million total story views.
More than 500 followers.

It isn't just her huge writing talent which I admire. It is her caring, humble and giving nature. She has helped literally hundreds and hundreds of writers improve their craft, and contributes hugely to intelligent and meaningful debate in the forums. Her "Project Semicolon" thread is one of the most popular on the site. Not to mention her being a riot in the private mod forums.

She also came up with the idea of giving shout-outs to people who have given so much back to the community here, as well as writing up forum posts in their honour. Now it's her turn to be on the receiving end (you know I won't do this as much justice as yours)!

On a personal level, I consider her a good friend. We've shared many a squiffy IM session (either one of us / both) over the years, and her support and consideration has been massively helpful.

Rachel, you're a gem. We love you. Thank you for everything you do around the site and for being you!

Congratulations on becoming the first recipient of our "Lifetime Achievement Award." And yes, you're also officially "Awesome" with a badge to prove it!

I want to say thank you to Sprite/Rachel for helping me by proof-reading some of my scenes on several occasions to double check they met guidelines. Oh Nikki, fabulous decision and this is so totally deserved.

For many of us Rachel has been simply both the most inspirational and supportive person on Lush. I do not have a writer on my friend list who she hasn't helped, supported and been there for. For me personally she was the one who, with Oxford Street, convinced me I could foot it here with the many fabulous writers. The longer I have known her the more I have seen the incredible support she as given, often behind the scenes, to new writers and the Lush community more generally.

And then there is her own writing, Alice and Summer and so much more, stories you read for joy and learning and which linger long in your mind.

If ever there was a member here that deserved a "Lifetime Achievement Award", it would be sprite. I am proud (and yes a little humbled) to call her my friend. She has helped me on numerous occasions when I had a question on a story or advice on how to phrase some part of it. She has Modded some of my stories and helped me fix the mistakes in them to make me look like I know what I'm doing!

Well, let's see. We've written together (the only person here I've ever collaborated with), she's helped me a number of times with stories and evading TOS limitations, she championed my tentacle story when there were no tentacle stories here, I've told her things I've told no one else, I've pissed her off, she's pissed me off, we've always found our way through, and I love her unconditionally. Sounds like a family member. Which is my point I guess: you are like family to me.

And that's just me. She's had a similar effect on so many others here, and is an invaluable asset to the site. To many folks, she IS Lush Stories.

Gonna be hard to follow Verbal's post...that made me all teary.

I've known Rachel for a while now, but one of those things where I feel like we met yesterday yet it also feels like she's been in my life forever. She means so much and does so much for so many people, there are times I wonder how one person can do it. Maybe her ability to be so multifaceted explains her infatuation with tentacles. Or she's just uber frickin sexy.

I consider Sprite to be one of the best humans I have ever met and that is reflected in everything she does for the site and its members. I have the great fortune to count Sprite as a friend and can say, without a doubt she has both improved everything I do on Lush but far more importantly she had made me a more thoughtful and considerate person. I also know more about tentacle porn than I could ever have imagined.

Definitely deserved. Until I started writing again last year, I tried the two positive comments on my stories I got from Rachel way back in 2010/11 as the closest I'd ever get to an RR. They're still two of my favourite stories for that reason. Her stories are the main reason I kept coming back to LushStories even when I wasn't writing. And her "rule" that we all had to write a tentacle story was one of the main reasons I put so much effort into my horror series, which has improved my writing a huge amount.
