Are there any other questions about how the Editors' Pick process works? I think we covered it but I've been wrong before.
I have to write in green, it's allergy season and my keyboard is covered in snot.

I'm happy my questions have been answered, ta. Lockability City?

Hypothetically, if I was this ex-mod (and it is true that I am a ex-mod) and if this was written about me hypothetically, I would simply laugh hypothetically.

Like for instance, I would say that if it were me you were talking about, I would say I have never had a super hard on for you - liked you yes, turned on by you NO, but thanks for the laugh. When I was a mod, I never talked to you once - remember you complained about it?

I would also say that the reason you were maybe suspended is because you kept bringing up personal bullshit about several members into the forums like above. Please note here, not hypothetically, that a mod cannot suspend you without it being discussed amongst all moderators and approved/agreed by the senior moderators.

When I was a mod, I can't recall ever verifying any of your stories and if I did and I thought it was great lol, I would have put your story up for nomination, whether I had a personal problem with you or not, but that simply wasn't the case.

That is not what that saying means. Once again you are misunderstanding. Having a hard on (where I am from) for someone means that you don't like them and I am not alone in my un-turned-on-ness when it comes to you I'm sure.... It's so laughable along with the rest of what you said. I won't get into it because you are lying, but to expose those lies I would have to talk about this in detail and tell everyone how you are full of it right now. I am refraining from bringing this up in detail like you have just now. Then you have the balls (audacity, not literal balls, don't misunderstand again) To accuse me of the very thing that you do... By saying I am bringing up personal stuff in the forum as evidenced in this statement below. Look how detailed you got about my hypothetical. Can everyone see how little it takes to set her off? How can anyone not liked by her get a fair judgement. It's obvious her personal feelings cloud her judgement.

Nic and others - Sorry for replying, but I am sick of felix and others bringing personal blog/history about me and others into the forums.

Interesting to see how the process works. I was unaware that the mods had a private forum.

From my experience it seems that the stories most likely to get picked are ones that are somehow more than just a good erotic story. They have to really touch a chord emotionally. That chord may indeed be one of arousal but can be funny or sad or heroic. What ever it is those that are chosen have managed to be stories that had something to say other then just being hot.

The Wild Girl anthology need not be read in any order but does take place in the following timeframe

Wild at Heart- 1968. The story of Dani’s Great Aunt Evie.

Wild Oats. Part 1&2. -2021. Dani is 16 and sets her sights on her stepfather.

https://www.lushstories.com/stories/taboo/wild-oats-part-2

Wild Child. 2025. Dani is now 20 years old.

we are honor bound not to talk about what goes on in there, too. all i can say is, there is a lot of drinking and spanking going on. biggrin

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

I would have suspected as much! Don't do anything I wouldn't do. Actually that gives you quite a bit of latitude doesn't it?

As was I. Which given that I've been a Mod for quite a while pisses me off.... Were you guys going to tell me? Am I like, NOT ALLOWED into the Mod's Forum????

xx Steph

(The Story Mod's Forum is used ONLY to discuss questions relating to the approval/removal of submitted stories. There's a lot of talk about grammar. I was in a stamp-collecting club once. There was more sex going on there, let me tell you....)
Although this is not on topic, it was funny.

I was hoping it would be locked anyway, hence the rest of the post you quoted from. I was hoping being silly would prevent posts of a certain nature that I both felt bad about and hoped would not continue. My questions had been answered, and although I tried, I lacked the imagination to think up more on-topic, sorry!

Nothing to apologize for Shylass. It wasn't directed toward you. You did a fine job in trying to move it along with humor.

Ta muchly. I am now waiting for a story about a sausage party and a reluctant Ginga which is good enough to be an Editors' Pick.

I found your humor in this thread downright offensive. Sausage party is an extremely sexist and derogatory term.

I bow to your superior humour (even if it has a different spelling). I would be very excited if you would write me a non-sausage party story with a reluctant Ginga so I can learn some stuff.

I don't know... I think that cookie would crumble. I don't fuck around when it comes to laying pipe.
I think there should be some way that members can nominate stories to be Editor's Picks. I know people might just recommend their friends but couldn't we have something like if 20 people say they think it's worthy, the mods can consider it? I think lots of great stories don't get enough recognition.

Would it still be an "Editors' Pick" then? Also, if 20 people think it's worth an EP then it is getting plenty of recognition as it is. If your story stands out to a Mod who was specifically selected to do that job, usually because they know what constitutes good writing, and who reads dozens of stories of a week, that's when you know the story's worth a little extra publicity.

Well yeah, I guess you're right.

Angelica, perhaps this thread might go some way to meeting your suggestion? http://www.lushstories.com/forum/yaf_postst15221_Recommend-A-Story.aspx

Readers can choose to award a story in any way they like there. Give it the Crazy Diamond Lush Like Button!
