Possible to block an author's stories on the home page?

i personally don't see any issue with this request. it seems like a natural extension of the block feature that we already have in place. i couldn't see blocking someone for the sole purpose of not seeing their stories, but obviously some ppl do. it's not taking away from anyone else's enjoyment of the site.

If Gav were willing to do this (and I stress the word if,) then it should be connected to the block already in place that had been extended to the forum since it's most likely that if you didn't want to see a person's stories... you already don't want to see whatever they write in the forums as well. Personally... I'd just like to see the block extended to our timeline so when you block someone & they quote you... you don't see their nonsense.

If it's an issue of categories... that block is already in place and has been for some time. Case in point... until Lush decided to do away with it... I had the category blocked, so I never saw those stories except when I was on a friend's profile page. If I accidentally clicked on a blocked story (which I did once) I'm reminded that I've got that category blocked.
