I hate when, during an apology, someone says something along the lines of "I, like you, have made mistakes."

What does that have to do with what you're apologizing for? And who's to say that the mistakes I've made in the past are comparable to whatever mistake it is you're apologizing for?

It just comes off as very passive aggressive and inauthentic. Plus it's just another way to separate yourself from your own bullshit instead of fully owning up to it.

Thanks for setting me straight Delphi. I got a little concerned when I was looking for those pictures. Would these be more like it?
