I'm really sorry to hear about this. Loss is such a tough thing to deal with man.
Heartfelt condolences to you Bill for your loss.
I hope you are able to share your grief with others close by.
Bill. Our paths have only occasionally intersected on the site, but that does not bar me from empathizing with you at this time of your most profound loss, that of your deeply loved life-partner.
As I grow older and my own personal losses grow exponentially, people I've loved falling away like autumn leaves, I use words to fortify myself. It's hard not to be trite, but I offer this from Albert Einstein. It comes from a letter to the family of Michele Besso, who was his life-long collaborator and closest friend. It was written a few days after Einstein learned of his death.
"Now he has departed from this strange world a little ahead of me. That means nothing. People like us, who believe in physics, know that the distinction between past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion."
My condolences to you on your loss. My thoughts are with you and your friends and family at this time.
Bill, words are always inadequate at times like this, but the kind wishes of good friends can be comforting.
So, let me turn, at this difficult time, to the profound words of The Muppets:
"Life is like a jouney, who knows when it ends?
Yes and if you need to know the measure of a man
You simply count his friends"
It's clear you have many, many friends who care for you.
Take comfort, and while the pain will never go away, you will again find joy.

Bill...
I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The loss of a partner seems to rip a hole in our very soul and our heart. For you to also consider her your best friend is like suffering a double loss. We are all here on such short time that we are shocked and saddened when that time ends. Please know that she will be watching over you and waiting for you to join her in the ever after. For now, take comfort in your remaining family and the friends that love you so dearly.
May God Bless You and Keep you in his arms.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Fuzzy just quoted that you too met at a 'Beatles Concert' ... what a way to meet a person! I don't know you, but I'm sure she's looking at you even now, giving you strength and blessings. My heartfelt condolences, Bill!
