soooo the gasman/plumber whatever, who came to peruse the mess my kaput cylinder made in the hall of my apartment here, recommended the latest hi tech slimline model as a replacement .. sounded good.. but his boss overruled him and told me.. swore to me.. that the quickest and most cost effective way was to simply replace the ancient with the current model of same.. still in manufacture .. so no re-plumbing was needed.. fit straight in .. .. stupid insurance company agreed..

soooo .. they can't find a stockist with the existing model replacement in stock.. but they can get one in from Marseilles! .. so they wasted one day .. yaaaaaaaay!

the bloody cylinder, that is now the replacement cylinder, arrives at the local stockist but he forgets to send it out to my plumbers.. two days gone!!! .. I am working and with no hot water have now moved in with my cousins! .. yaaay!

it arrives.. I am supposed to celebrate ???? ... huge bloody box.. replacement twice the bloody size of the old one even though it is supposed to be the new exchangeable version ... won't fit in the bloody cupboard ... have to take the wall out? oh yes.. sooo trying not to swear.. they have to send it back !!!! yaaaay! ..

falls off the trolley after two stairs and almost kills one of them on its way down .. rolling and bouncing down three flights taking chunks out of the wall of a listed building!!! .. wonder who is paying for that??? .. yaay! .. day 4 gone.. thank God work is distracting ...

soooo after 6 days of no hot water I was able to shower tonight thanks to the latest hi tech slimline replacement model they have fitted.. ... soooo wish people would value tradesmen .. those who do the work sooo know better than those who rely on theory .. soooo what could have been done in a day and a half, including new plumbing .. took 6... oh can't wait for the bloody bill
