From the other side of the world - you voted for him - now you have to put up with him for 4 years - if he doesn't die of lead poisoning first.

If trump either dies or is 25th-Amended out of office (which may be part of the Plan), Vance then holds the power.

That possibility is scary. Vance is not as stupid and weak as the other trump appointees, whom trump chose just because he would not want anyone that exceeds his diminished intelligence making him look bad..

We tenants in the upper apartment above the fentanyl lab are concerned. If only we could pick our neighbours and our relatives...

I'm guessing one of the first questions that will come up in the Oval Office in Jan 2024 is gonna be " So, this crypto thing, how do I hide my money so no one can find it?"

Sadly, the Ethics Committee won't release the report describing his "improper relationships with women." The Ethic Committee chair was quoted as saying he's being demonized for being an "effective therapist with innovative techniques."

Tintinnabulation - first place (Free Spirit)
Comet Q - second place (Quick and Risqué Sex)
Amnesia - third place (Le Noir Erotique)

🤣 Comedians must be soiling themselves with glee. So Gaetz is out. Was it all a smokescreen so the next crappy choice doesn't seem so bad by comparison with Gaetz to be rewarded with some plum assignment?

He is looking really old and tired. I bet the guy on the right is prepping to 25th Amendment himself into office soon.

To Canadians, Trump is a bloviating idiiot when it comes to foreign affairs, but being polite, Canadians remain silent but royally pissed.

He is about to take back command of the world’s greatest armed forces, yet does not see the irony in his “joking” about Canada becoming a US state.

Like Russia taking over Ukraine, such an action, the invasion of a neighbouring sovereign nation, is deeply offensive and hypocritical.

Americans seem so upset about immigrants invading, who just want to pick your vrops, have a life, and pay taxes, but y’all would go ahead and annex Canada for its abundant resources if you could. Fuck what it’s people think.

Like Ukraine, Canada is a sovereign NATION, that will resist assimilation To The Death!

Only a fucking moronic leader “jokes” about it.

Seriously, Americans may never again, have to be troubled to go to a polling place every 2 to 4 years and ever have to stand in line to cast another vote for any Senator, House representative or President. The millions of people who were eligible to do so this last election - but chose not to - won't have to ever make that piddling decision again.

On January 20th, America will have a kingdom/monarchy full of Trump heirs to lead this former Republic. By the end of 2025, I can see Social Security and Medicare disappearing like the Dodo. Phased out then privatized so Wall Street can securitize it and sell it to 'investors'.

The same GQP demanding we move on from January 6th, 2021 is still doing audits of the November 3rd, 2020 election.

lol just clump all the provinces together in one big ass state, fuck it

Canada would get screwed if they did it that way. If all of the provinces became states that's:

20 new senators.

at least 10 representatives.

I really think they are better off coming in and picking up the pieces after we finish imploding.

POS Orange will change his mind pretty fast when he realizes the miniscule percentage of Canadians that would vote for him or buy all his shit merchandise. He tried to put his name on a hotel here and the protests were so loud he changed his mind.

Remember when Russia and North Korea were the enemy? Now its Canada.

Dear America: you're fucked. Employing the same logic POS Orange is using for Ukraine: Texas/US SW goes back to Mexico, SE US back to France, NE & Washington state to Canada, the rest carved up and given back to indigenous peoples. It was great experimental democracy. It just ended with a dull thud.

He misspoke, you guys can be a territory. We can use the maple syrup money for a few more of Elon's rocket launch tests.

Gonna be interesting. According to some analysts a tariff on Canadian oil will raise pump prices in USA 10-15% a gallon. If he tariffs the energy exports (electric) the lights will go out in New England. If he figures that out it may actually happen, they're nearly all Democratic states. And I apologize for letting Elon go to school here.

Well as much as I hate to say it, I believe you're absolutely correct. The man is unfortunately going to do some serious damage to the USA & it all starts in just a few days. 😤

Wonder if Trump and the Republicans are going to go through with their threat of getting rid of Obamacare/ACA

I've had it with Trump. Now, no matter what he supposedly says, whatever the fucked-up "main stream" media report about him saying, or what his followers say, there can be only one response, and it is really short:

"You believe that shit?"

Nothing else deserves to be said. He does not deserve any attention, which is his fuel. He just lies, so what is the point of even listening to him. Let him fuck around all he wants, but also do nothing to give him any recognition, good or bad. Stop reporting on him. Nothing to see here, moving on. ,,,and he will melt the fuck down and be gone.

A dem died just to spite President Trump. The left is sick.

Yeah, if we took over Canada (and Greenland, and ... ?) there's no way the GOP would allow for statehood. That would mean a bunch of additional Democrat Senators, Reps and Electors. The GOP would have to triangulate significantly leftward (and tone down a lot of their culture-war bullshit) to maintain any chance at power, and their donor base does not want that.

Whatever we took over would become added "territories" (i.e., colonies). Few Americans know this, but we are already the world's largest colonial power due to our various territories that lack statehood.

Trump is going to embarrass and humiliate the United States over and over again for the next four years. He is a true dumbass.

Trump's statements on Canada, Greenland, Panama, and renaming The Gulf of Mexico are just the tip of the iceberg.

Trump 4 years

Biden 4 years

Trump 4 years

12 years of the worst US Presidential leadership in our history.

Oh, the utter humiliation.

And do you all understand how horribly inflationary that tariffs are? Trump wants to create even more tariffs. Gee! How tremendously STUPID!

The real reason the orange troll is targeting Canada: Our PM kissed his girl and she liked it. It hates to be embarrassed or emasculated.

The response from >90% of Canadians:

18+ Only

All the blustering emitting from the orange shitbox is designed to draw our attention away from the massive tax cuts that are coming.

Trump is good at diverting, lying and general fuckery. He wants to be a dictator calling all the shots. The GOP is allowing this. Goodbye social security and medicare - Wall Street is always on the lookout for their next grift - just like the Trumps are.

Securitization of our Social Security is on the horizon and inevitable. Thanks to a bunch of pricks who didn't want to vote for a female president instead of this piece of shit motherfucker.

You don't understand. Stallone is going to make Rambo 7 and save Hollywood.

Well the shit is about to hit the fan...

It's two days to his taking office and the list of things he has promised for day one is lengthening - from pardoning the J6 rioters, to imposing tariffs on China, Mexico and Canada and inciting a trade war to loads of other stuff.

Who knows what we'll get or how it'll pan out - there's a tendency by people on the left to take people like Trump literally but not seriously as though he's some kind of ill-educated hick who's out of his depth in a puddle. I'd argue it should be the other way around, that he needs to be taken seriously and the other stuff is or was mostly bluster to bolster his Maga fan base.

In the UK we went through this when our bloviating idiot Boris Johnson was appointed Prime Minister in 2019 and then won a general election a few months later. Some people thought he would remain in post for a decade and surpass his "friend" but rival David Cameron. It was clear to anyone who understood Johnson that he'd screw up - he was bone idle and had no interest in governing but quite liked the job title. I see the same in Trump, his ego demanded that he became President and he's got the job back, but can he govern? Now comes the tricky bit, delivering on all those promises to return jobs to the US, bring prices down, get rid of millions of undocumented immigrants, impose tariffs on imports and more without destroying the US economy and with it the global economy. A lot of these things were easy to say - but will be very difficult to deliver on while minimising the damage. My prediction is that the tax cuts will come with a lot of "efficiencies" - that is a swinging axe being taken to government spending. So brace yourself for a lot of "I voted for Trump, but I didn't votes for that" stories as yet another government service is defunded to the point where it is barely worth having or just shut down in its entirety. Meanwhile the tax cuts and deregulation will benefit his real fans - the mega wealthy - because you can never have too many billions.

Splat.

The question is not just how far Trump will go (although that is becoming more clear), but whether the Democratic party will learn from their abandonment of working people and their other colossal fuckups. I'm not holding my breath.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Maybe they can figure it out over the next 2 years.
