I think they believe that they planted Trump's name on the list but the rest of the list is real or something. Or that Trump is playing chess somehow and waiting until the right time to release it to get the deep state? Some bullshit like that.

It really is that they are stupid. So there is no trying to understand them or uniting with them or whatever. They are just fucking stupid and that's why we are polarized. They're morons.

And as for inequality? It's not just a symptom, it's the engine. The more unbalanced the scales become, the more fear is fed to keep the system intact.

Polarization isn’t accidental. It’s profitable.

And like any true Domme, I see the game being played. The real question is, how many are willing to stop playing by their rules?

The racists and misogynists of the Billionaire Class have been working for 40 + years to turn the economic middle class against the economic lower class, and to shun all immigrants who attempt legal immigration (along with the associated 10 to 12 years of legal hoops and other assorted hardships/missed appointments/long waiting times in between appointments), which the legal route entails.

They use their controlled media to make all of us fight against each other, while the Billionaires enjoy ALL THE TAX BREAKS.

Billionaire sporting team owners have convinced us to build them multi-billion dollar cost new stadiums, on tax-payer funds - then they charge exhorbitant prices to attend games or functions inside those public financed buildings. They will pit state versus state, municipality vs municipality for the 'right' to build such stadiums, every 25 years. That's just one glaring example.

That might just get the public angry enough to do something about the gun problems we have in this country. Gun deaths are so common, people don't even seem to blink an eye anymore.

Not going to celebrate any political assassination, even of an asshole like Kirk. I despise his speech, vehemently, but I have to defend his right to exercise it. Regular assassinations of people like him and Melissa Hortman (even closer to home for me) for participating in public life are terrorism, plain and simple. And a very, very bad omen for our country's future.

And for the world's. It's not just the USA that is fucked, as dannig pointed out, the way things are going. The dearth of assault weapons in other countries might seem comforting, but no one is safe from the dehumanization of political opponents and the normalization of political violence that is reaching every corner of the globe.

Another reason we are being divided is the real power in this nation, the ultra-rich and mega industries are using social media to stir the pot. As long as the can keep the little people distracted on the guy picking your crops or a trans woman using the bathroom, they wont spend the mental energy to figure out they are being held down.

We have people bitching about gas prices and inflation who don't even realize that the oil industry is raking in record profits.

And when a corporation does make a massive profit, they don't let it ‘trickle’ to the workers. They pay it out to the rich stock holders through dividends and stock price manipulation.

Capitalism is broken as badly as it was under the Robber Barons while we are squabbling like children about issues that don't even affect 90% of those who complain the loudest

This is a wild take. There's no need to rewrite history. He said plenty of racist things that people are pretending have been debunked. Charlie Kirk didn't deserve to die that way, but he also believed that people dying that way was necessary to preserve the 2nd amendment, he just never meant himself. The other people you named as grifters don't change the fact that Charlie Kirk was a grifter. And all grifters lie. All grifters act against the best interests of those most marginalized because that's what grifters do.

You not finding anything racist in the hours of footage of him being racist says a lot about your tolerance for racism. This is a threshold issue as in, how overt something must be before we label it racism. You lack comprehension skills.

I can read between the lines too.

Previous to him being killed, I had only heard about Charlie Kirk. I didn't even know what he looked like. Just from reading some of the stuff he's said, the problem I have is he's really not helping any of his followers to better themselves. He's telling them it's not their fault. Someone else is standing in their way. Often the blame goes to immigrants, minorities, women and any religion except Christianity. Basically, anyone except themselves. For anyone believing this, the solution might be to get rid of what they perceive to be standing in their way.

This is dangerous and the fact that there have been so many shootings, largely (maybe exclusively) by people who listen to Kirk and others like him, proves it.

How bad would it be if Kirk didn't even believe in the stuff he was saying? It's possible some or even all of it was just an act. What if it was just him knowing his audience and just telling them whatever it was they wanted to hear? If this was the case, then I would have to believe he was laughing at them. He was telling them, "This is why your life sucks so much." And they cheered him every time he did. In the meantime, their lives stay stuck in a forever loop of blaming others.
