Or we just accept that our characters live in an alternate universe where extra body parts and odd adjustments to the basic human body plan are the norm. 😁

The Lushiverse, coming to your Internet is 2026...

It worked from Marilyn Monroe, allegedly. lol

My latest stories:

The Summer Tour - A chance encounter between two strangers draws them into something impulsive.

My Wife’s Birthday Present - A simple birthday fantasy arranged by a devoted husband quickly takes a sharp turn.

Unexpected Maintenance - A single woman, a broken appliance, and a very attractive maintenance guy. What could possible go wrong?

She's cute, but I'm wondering how she uses that eleventh finger. 😉 I sometimes have to crop my images very carefully to hide an extra appendage.

I was so busy looking at her face i didn't even notice the finger, really liked this one.

I was working in Nightcafe earlier trying to make a woman skinnier and nothing worked though I only tried about 5 or 6 prompt edits. I'll have to play around more to find the right wording. Based on what I see in the thread and on stories AI is capable of producing some really decent results. I'll for sure keep using it because its easy to manipulate and you don't have to worry about copyright.

Because AI is developed by bros, a woman defaults to an attractive, young, white woman. I've struggled to find the right wording to get a nice-looking MILF. If I try to make her slightly older, the AI makes her a wrinkly old hag. If I try to make her slightly fatter, the AI makes her morbidly obese. As you've found, it takes some work to get it right.

Yeah, just try asking for small breasts. Ain't no such thing, apparently 🤣

I’m enjoying these posts! smile

I haven’t had trouble getting curves. I just say “sexy curvy” and get it or “model figure” to get a thin gal. I’m working on a story for this one about mannequins who come to life in the Christmas window display at midnight. I really like it. I think they look like mannequins and AI got bodies I wanted. Our stores here have plus-sized mannequins mixed with regular now which I love.

That thick lady in red is marvelous.

I used ChatGPT for a story and was stunned it came out just as I wanted. Haven't used it since because getting it to be more NSFW is an annoyance.

My last published story: An Unlucky Good Time

It can still take me a while to get Perchance to generate that base image that I want (although sometimes it “gets it” right away), but I spend a lot less time on that than I used to take searching porn sites for images I wanted to use.

When you did that image for Minnie’s Merry Mall Christmas last year. Seeker4, it made me go “Whoa.” It’s hard to believe that was just a year ago, and look where we are today. Not only am I using AI for all my new cover images, but I’ve gone back and used it to generate new cover images for many of my older stories. I’ve become aware that there are porn companies making a profit center out of filing “nuisance” lawsuits for people downloading and sharing copyrighted porn, so it seems prudent to me to avoid publicly available porn of unknown provenance completely.

I do think it is worth the time it takes to create a good cover image. I don’t think it’s the #1 factor driving viewership, but in my observation it seems pretty significant, especially the first day or two after publication when your story is shown on the front page (and, if you’re lucky, the Trending gallery) and competing for new readers’ attention based heavily on that visual.

I create two images for all my new stories: one “clean” one to make the official cover image and which follows Lush’s rules for that, and one “dirty” image that is more explicit, which I post to my Wall when the story is published. Just in the past week, someone has commented on a new story saying it was that image that drew them in, so I know cover images matter.

Very little. I'm a writer, not a graphic designer.

Don't believe everything that you read.

Here's a question for the group; I'm posting a story under my profile as we speak. I would like to add photos, beyond just the cover art, now how do I do that???

On your profile page, click the "Media" tab. There, you can upload more images, add descriptive captions, and group them into albums if you like. I have found the uploading to be glitchy sometimes, so I recommend double-checking the results and ensuring that everything worked properly.

Then in the Author's Note for your story, you can mention that there are more images available.

New member and new(ish) author here. I’ve been writing for a little over a year. Prior to finding Lush, I never even thought about cover art.

Before I published my first story, I wasn’t sure where to start. Then I saw a forum post that said it was acceptable to use AI to create cover art. I’ve been using ChatGPT. The amount of time I’ve spent is borderline embarrassing. Between the time it takes to render images, coupled with the number of “content violations” I’ve encountered… Yeah. Like I said, embarrassing.

Yes, I realize that there are probably some better options outside of ChatGPT. I just have not explored them yet.

I am curious… How important is cover art to you? How much time/effort do you put into your cover art?

A lot. at first I thought well I can find artwork and slap it around in Photoshop. Then it hit me out of the blue. My kids can probably teach me about AI. Now I can create a book cover almost exactly how I want it. I knew I kept them around for a reason. The hard part now is keeping them from seeing what Mom is creating ;)

Somewhat surprisingly, I'm now getting good results having Perchance do that, with my Dating Daphne project.

The thing I can't get it to generate is men with clean-shaven faces. It really wants to give everyone that rugged appearance.
