Struggling with ideas myself, lol. I have to pick one and do the draft this weekend because I take ages to edit and need to leave room for that.
My fear is writing a story that feels too rushed because of the word limit.

I overheard my neighbour's wife a few years back while I was having a late supper. Sounded like she was having a great time.
My neighbours probably heard me with my ex a few times. One time especially when I went full beast when I nutted. She poked fun at me for the rest of that day for them probably being traumatised ๐ญ๐.
I don't have the link to it now as I'm on my phone but I like to use an online tool that goes through your twenty most frequently used words, 2-word phrases and 3-word phrases. That helps reduce frequency during a single story at least, combined with googling synonyms like Ensorceled mentioned.
Reading novels helps in that area as well, inspiring how you approach certain descriptions and such.

I was able to clear the noise in my head for 5 minutes to write 100 words. And I actually like those words. I love the challenge to try and tell a full story within 100 words. It ainโt easy for me.
Iโll take some donuts now, please.
This story was excellent!
I smelled her all over his face. Anger filled me, but thenโฆ โฆthe taste of her in his mouth planted a seed of curiosity upon my tongue. * I walked into her office, my panties stuck to my damp lips. โMy husbandโs fucking you,โ I calmly stated and unzipped my dress. Mischief marked her pretty face as she rose from her chair. โSo you want what he gets?โ * I crawled into bed that night an enlightened woman. With the scent of h...
MicrofictionMy goals have evolved since 2020 when I joined. Initially, I wanted to feel out how people would respond to the three or so stories I already completed and shared here. Before that, those were shared amongst peers, but I had a craving for a bigger, anonymous audience.
I then wanted to gain a RR. First comp story I did surprised me with that achievement. Then I wanted to pen a series, but make it something with a sense of peril. Did that with How Did We Even Get Here? Like I literally thought, "What would publishing a series that has a TV feel like something on Showtime get over?" Yep.
Then I desired making a comp top ten, but doubted my abilities. Early 2022 resolved that.
I then wanted to see if more RRs were possible to prove the first wasn't a fluke. My first top ten resolved that too. Then last year, I was shocked to earn another two.
Since then, I wanted to publish another series, which happened this year. I thought about how much my writing would need to improve to earn an EP. Thought it impossible, then the last comp happened ๐ณ.
I still have a lingering goal of attaining a Prolific badge, but that is on the backburner. My current goal is to have 16 stories finished and ready so that I can publish twice weekly for a 2 month period. This is why I won't be publishing single stories for a while unless they're comp entries. I figured releasing in batches rather than a single every few months would be more beneficial to me in the long run.
I am curious to how much more my goals will evolve.
EDIT: Almost forgot, another I had and still have is writing unhinged female characters. I love them in regular fiction - quite liked Gillian Flynn's representation of them in her books I've read, so wanted a go at them too. My Valentine comp story from last year is probably my favourite outing on that front.
Finished two unfinished drafts I started last year. Now thinking of an outline for another unfinished draft from last year. There will be a lot more of that in the coming months.
Also, I have to edit drafts that have been completed. All of this, with the aim to release a batch of stories, rather than one sporadically here and there. That will be reserved for comp stories for the coming months.
I'm in shock. Holy shi...
Wow, life has been sucky for a while, so this brought a big, broad smile to my face. A podium spot. This is surreal ๐ณ.
Jason's story was so goddamn good. Broke my fucking heart, which is the show of fantastic storytelling.
A big shout out and congratulations to everyone in the top ten!!
