I’ve been a bit quiet on Lush recently, so apologies for that. Real life has been getting in the way, I’m afraid.

Even so, I’ve managed to finish a story for the new “Spring Forward” competition, which has just gone online. You can read it here – Turning Terry | Lush Stories

This was one occasion when I really struggled to keep my story within the word limit. 4000 words really wasn’t enough, and I’m still afraid that some of the characters aren’t as fleshed out as I wanted, and some of the plot has ended up being a bit rushed. As each little section progressed, I kept wanting to say more, but the word-count just inexorably crept up and up. And of course I needed to leave space for a proper dirty sex scene – this is a “NaughtyAnnie” story after all!

I also wanted to provide a twist on the usual “finding your sexuality” story, which tends to be “straight person discovers their gay/bisexual side”. It would be fun, I decided, to turn that convention on its head. And finally, there is a bit of a serious message behind the story, which hopefully gives it a bit more depth than some of my other straightforward filth.

Oh dear, I hope that hasn’t put you all off! Please read and vote, and hopefully it’ll get a bit of extra attention as a comp entry.

Has IMPURETHOUGHTS (her caps 😉) gone missing in action? I was idly browsing some threads, and noticed some posts that looked like hers were now tagged as "unknown user".

If so, I hope she's okay. Forum traffic will be decimated without her!

Back in January this year, I set myself the target of writing one new story for Lush each month, something I'd come close to before, but never quite managed. A few things got in the way - various lockdowns, Lush v2, my wedding - but now, just in time for Christmas, comes the twelfth and final one of these. Coincidentally, I’ve just published a small collection of six of my Lush stories on Amazon. I used “Kindle Create” to help with the formatting, and it was pretty straightforward, even for someone as non-techie as me (and I really am very bad at this sort of thing). And I’m sure there are some very tech-savvy people on Lush who could make the finished product look much better than my feeble effort. And I used the "Cover Create" feature, which took no time at all using their templates and images.

More importantly, it went “online” very quickly. I was expecting it to take days, but it was available in the Marketplace within about five hours of submission. So I can’t imagine there was any human input! The stories are standard straight/lesbian fare, with nothing kinky. Maybe they have some sort of algorithm that searches for inappropriate words?

The other interesting statistic is which writers have the most appearances in these lists – the most “Top 3” stories, in other words. There are a clear “Top Three”, as follows:

1. Edlangston, with 11 stories, submitted between 2010 and 2015

- Three 1st, four 2nd and four 3rd

2. NaughtyAnnie, with 8 stories, submitted between 2011 and 2018

- Six 1st, one 2nd and one 3rd

3. Mysteria27, with 6 stories submitted between 2014 and 2017

- Two 1st, one 2nd and three 3rd

The other writers with three or more stories in the lists are MasterJonathan (5), Colin123 (4), JessicaX (4), Pegasus4 (4), Buz (3), Dancing Doll (3), DarkSide (3), Floridaguy2001 (3), JuliaFoxxx (3) and Milik_the_Red (3).

So Edlangston takes the top spot, although NaughtyAnnie deserves special mention for having no fewer than six “number 1” spots: in Historical, Microfiction, Outdoor, Teen, True and Watersports. And of course, Buz deserves commendation for being the only writer to take all top 3 slots in a single category, with his full house in “College Sex”.

When I was trying to think of an idea for a story for the “Quick and Risqué” competition, I came up with several ideas that I rejected. One of these, while not my final choice, seemed too good to throw away completely. It’s still quite short, but at least I was able to go over 1000 words.

It’s called “Parkrun Passion” and is a fun little tale about a quickie fuck during a run in the park. I hope you enjoy it.

I've had a "sympathy fuck" with a male friend whose girlfriend had just broken up with him. We both knew that was all it was, and it only happened once. It was actually a great night. 😉

I've just been plugging my old story "Satanic Seduction" via my "Status", so I thought I'd post a link here as well.

It's an undervalued gem, in my opinion, and that distinguished Lush writer Grusha Vashnadze has described it as "My favourite naughtyannie story of all time".

Even as an entry for the last "Seduction" competition in 2014 it sank without trace, though interestingly the winner of that comp, Liz, commented "Fantastic! Oh I absolutely loved this. What a clever, twisted tale you weave. Really good, well done. Best of luck in the competition, Annie." So it can't be that bad!

It's ironic really. I've been banging on for years about having a couple of badges for poems, roughly equivalent to the "Famous" and "Legendary" story badges but with lower "read" requirements, to reflect the lower numbers even the best ones get.

These could actually be achievable by a wider range of people, as well as promoting interest in a genre that Lush does better than most other erotic writing sites.

Have the powers-that-be shown any interest? Not a chance.

But propose something that's hardly anyone's ever going to get, and it's done.
