Funny thing... so, here's the bad news. sometimes you can't recapture the spark. Summer's story is done. the good news. i'm VERY slowly working on a short story - one of Summer's short stories from one of HER books. when i say slowly, i mean i have an opening line. Alice and Space girl are too much fun to pause to do a serious story - besides, I'm alway working on my Noir story (6k words at present and two scenes left to write before i begin to go into serious edit mode) so... yeah. it'll kind of happen. ETA? no idea

Kate also had a bday. and i've been working full time plus with familes victimised by domestic violence. rough gig, but i am glad i took it. learning Farsi on the job, btw, which, besides being helpful, is kind of fun. have missed you around here - i hope to see you pop in more often. you always brighten the place up. Anyway, as suggested by Seeker4 I opened a Think Tank group: https://www.lushstories.com/groups/think-tank The fact that groups only allow 2 levels of replies will be a big impediment for discussions I guess, but we'll see. As a groups there will probably not be that much action anyway.

May I suggest reopening the Think Tank, while leaving existing threads, that have not been cleaned up yet, hidden? There's a lot going on in the world right now for which the Spa, and other parts of the Forum, seem unsuitable.

Wasn’t there something on the old site that you could only publish 1 story per day. Like you said, if you publish 1 story you’re on the front page <24 hrs but a couple days now I’ve seen the same author with 2 stories on the front page published within 3 hours of each other…hmmm

the rule is: please only submit ONE story at a time. that means please wait until it's published before submitting a new one.

sharing this cause it's kind of funny. usually i write a story. one. i start it, i finish it. write now... 4 stories. yes, 4. the Noir one (half done!), a b-movie pulp fiction space opera story (the start, i think, of a new series), that's mostly just for me cause it's fun to write and gives me plenty of chances to do the weird stuff - tentacle sex, plant sex, you know the WEIRD stuff - speaking of which, go read stories by https://www.lushstories.com/profiles/view/LuceDevlin trust me. I know James has read at least one - yes, i am stalking him (evil laughter). ahem. and then there's my alice story. Oh, and yes, i do have another Pretty Shiny percolating in my brain. also, i think it's time to get back to butterfly beach and ketcup.

also, i should mention that I wrote a series called Summer ages ago (okay, 2 or 3 years) that i said that was done. and it is. BUT i also mentioned that i might write some of the short stories that Summer wrote (she's a writer in my story). i have an opening line for the first of them. i can't seem to find any lines to follow, but the opening line really makes me want to, so i'm going to keep working on it - thing is, THIS story has to be perfect, which is a LOT of pressure to put on oneself! yes, i am mad. woo hoo. so, yeah, it opens with this... Rene’ sat beneath the stars of a Van Gogh sky. WHERE THE HELL IS MY MUSE? SHE'S SLEEPING ON THE JOB AGAIN!
