Having finally finished my gay male story, which has been well received, I’m working on a few other categories as I chase Double Omnium. I have a Steampunk story, an Outdoor story, and a few others started.

Besides those, I another set of chapters for Mac and Grace, a HWH story, and even an additional part to The Office Whore all in various stages of completion.

Now, I just have to find time to finish something. 😉🤪

I had that fear when I edited a published story to add the series mechanism. Fortunately, that did not trigger the review process.

Fortunately, you can add a series without needing reapproval. 😎

It's been a while since I've written anything this long. But to get the story right, I needed time to give the characters a chance to get to know each other and for the relationship to have a slow, realistic build-up. Above all else, this is a love story. I hope readers won't be tempted to skip this one because of its length and/or genre. The comments so far have been amazing. I'm proud to share this stand-alone story with you. Please enjoy Sunset Grill.

Twin big fun today!

She’s let her hair go white-gray. I told her I’m not ready yet… smile

Shhhh don’t tell her that I said this, but you look younger. My sister did the same thing and though we are 5 years apart, the gap looks much larger since I refuse to let my hair go white. (As a redhead, my roots are white, not gray). I don’t know if I will ever be ready. lol

Love the sunshine for both of you. It’s been chilly here at my beach. Hope you are having better weather. 🥳🥳

Worn out by repeated use over time, or overstressed beyond design specifications in the moment of passion? Either one is good, but exceptionally good if the latter.

A little bit of both? 😘

We know who is using AI and who isn't.

Kinda like Santa Claus, we know who is naughty and who is nice. 😉🎅🏼

As someone whose brother is in a wheelchair, it never ceases to amaze me how inaccessible the world can be for people with mobility issues. Bless you for all you have done to change that in your space. 😘🥰

Tomorrow is the big fundraiser for cancer research that I’ve been working on with a group of amazing colleagues. Looking forward to a successful evening! We have a bigger venue this year and there will be more people.

No gym today. 😎 Maybe I will actually have time to finish a longer story. 🥰

TGIF all y’all 💋

Is having a story locked by a mod for a week considered “normal”? The message on the users end leads one to believe it’s being reviewed currently. For a 2-3k word story, 7 days to review it seems rather excessive after it’s supposedly made “progress”. It’d be one thing if it could be pulled back by the contributor. But being locked out of your work for 7 days with zero update or movement is incredibly frustrating and doesn’t seem right.

I'm confused. You don't have a story waiting in the queue. Did I miss something?

Quote by MissVixen

This I try not to do. I did when I changed the cover graphic for Battle Born, but new story I wait a few days.

And it is much appreciated. ❤️

Hi, Rumpies wave

Headed on Twins Gone Wild trip in the morning. Got my head back in a good space. Dad’s beyond sad and in particular his loss of control of bodily functions is hard on everyone. Just gotta stay strong for him. It helped me writing and publishing on SS about us. Helped me come to terms with us never being able to have the close relationship I had with Mom.

Anyways, enjoy rest of the Month of Love!

Writing contest in SS runs through St Patty’s Day, if interested. An eclectic bunch of entries so far!

Love you all! See ya in March.

Please feed and pet Butters while I’m away. smile

And play with the toys in Storeroom 4. biggrin

Have a blast!❤️

While I'm trying to keep in mind that mods have lives outside of Lush, it can admittedly be annoying when you hear about stories that were submitted after yours being published before.

Sometimes this occurs when we are trying to give other authors a chance to have their stories seen. It's frustrating and annoying to approve a story, only for that author to submit the next one 12 minutes later. Jen has made it clear that the queue is consistently full and verification times will take longer.

Also-this is not helpful feedback in any shape or form, and misses addressing the points i made.

But, as a site administrator, you do make an excellent point. My only option is to delete. There is no “contact mod option”, no “recall option”, no “support” option. It truly, in your own words, makes no sense.

It makes no sense to lock down a story with no intent to mod it for an entire week.

I have authors reach out to me all the time to inquire about the progress of their story, if it is locked, and if it seems to be taking a long time, even if I am not the mod who has their story locked.

There is a link to the mods at the bottom of the front page called Meet the Team. You could certainly reach out to any story mod at any time.

Um, you're quoting posts from many years ago. Pixie is no longer around, I don't think (at least, I haven't seen her in a long time), and DirtyMartini passed away some time ago. But welcome to Rumps and Lush.

Thanks, I was about to say the same thing.

Quote by markx

that's a good one.

Welcome to Rumps! Have a drink on my tab.

Welcome back, Bear!

Although it would have been lovely to reconnect with you and Lady Jay, you made a wise choice to go further south this year. Our weather hasn’t been exactly tropical. (Yes, better than northern weather, but certainly not hot). Glad to hear y’all had a wonderful time.

I am happy to report that some of our Canadian friends did come down for their annual reprieve from the snow despite the political climate. One friend told me that they decided that our little town’s continued recovery was worthy of their support. We are grateful.

It’s a busy day for me, two trips to Tampa today. One for a doc appointment and one to have dinner with one of my sisters and her hubby who are in town for one night only.

Well, happy hump day, all y’all. I will just grab a Coke Zero or three and head over to the corner to do some story modding. The queue continues to burst at the seams, but we are plugging along. 🥤🥤🥤

In our brand new bed (we, ummm, broke the old one). 😘😉

As typical, I’ve got a half a dozen stories at various stages of completion. Hoping to get some writing time in today on a few of them, including a gay male story that has taken a whole different turn than I expected. Fingers crossed that I do it justice. 😎

Good morning Rumpies! How sad is it that Carl and I should be looking at that same high temp today? I live in Florida for goodness sakes! But I won’t complain too loudly. It beats the snow.

Off to the gym. These early gym times are a killer but it’s nice to have the workout done so I can get a start on my day.

Hope it’s a great day for all y’all. 😎😘

Can I be Queen for a day? My first decree is that EVERYONE driving in Florida who has an out-of-state tag has to GET THE F*CK OUT. Florida is CLOSED. and take 3 yankees with you. after that, everyone else has to take a real driving test, 'cause Ya'll are F*cking morons out there.. TY

Yeah, it’s frustrating, but these morons spend lots of tourist dollars in our state. I will say there are a good chunk of people who live in our state probably shouldn’t be driving anymore. That’s one reason I like to go to the gym early. Less crazy drivers out there. 🤪

This will be fun, thanx for the heads up Kimmi!

Hope everyone is well or at least making progress on whatever ails you; seems a bunch of us have stuff going on. I've been reading so much medical info I figure I'm at least as qualified as the average resident. I do have a set of scrubs. I'm gonna wear them to the hospital next time I go in. lol

I promise I would never do such a thing but I just realized all I need is a stethoscope and I can start examining patients. I may work that into a story.

"Hi, I'm Dr Lyfbuz...."

Well, Dr. Lyfbuz, it all started a couple of years ago when a snotty family decided to take up permanent residence in my right sinus…

Good morning all y’all. Today I tuck away my chronic issues to take my brother to Animal Kingdom. Should be fun. Just going for the day. It’s supposed to be decent weather finally.

The appointment with the rhinoceros went well yesterday. She is testing me for immunodeficiencies. I discovered there are 550 such deficiencies in existence. Who wants to place bets I have more than one?

She did also give me an antibiotic ointment to mix in with my saline sinus rinse. Something new I haven’t tried yet. It’s a two month regimen. I liked this doc very much. She’s sharp. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 she can help me solve the mystery of the superbug that three docs have now said “mimics MRSA”. My mood is better than it has been in some time. I feel like I have a doctor who isn’t just try to cure the problem but figure out what caused it and how to stop it. I’m hopeful.

Splurging on breakfast at Einstein Brothers Bagels. 🥯

My mediation group asked me yesterday if I could name ONE good thing that has come out of my health journey. I learned I can live without ice cream. (I gave up most dairy products). Thank goodness Candy Kitchen has lemon Italian ice. 😎

Okay, my friends. TGIF. Only 2 more weeks till my baby girl comes home for her birthday weekend. 😎🥳

I see the rhinologist today. Or as my granddaughter called it, the rhinoceros. 🦏

Hoping for some answers. 🤞🏻

I will take a Coke Zero to go please and thanks! 😘

Hiya, Rumpies wave

I’m taking a bit of time away. Trying to gather strength with more bad stuff with Dad. And my twin and I are taking a short trip together to celebrate our birthday last week of month. Her wonderful hubby will stay to handle Dad issues.

Msg me if you need anything. I get notified.

And yay! The sun is out today! ☀️

Love you all! ❤️

Enjoy birthday time with your twin! Love that for you! ❤️

It actually got warm enough to swim here today! Felt SO good in the sun (the shade was another story).

Hiya Rumpies wave

Getting ready to watch Super Bowl. I think I want Seahawks just because Sam’s been through quite a bit.

So ya watching Bad Bunny or Kid Rock? I’ve never liked Kid Rock. I don’t understand the hate of Bad Bunny. But I don’t understand a lot of things.

I just hope it’s a great game and nobody gets hurt. smile I been watching Olympics all day. Love it! Sad for Vonn falling, though.

Bad Bunny was phenomenal. Who cares if I could understand all the words or not? The energy and the vibe were amazing. Been rooting for the Seahawks for the ridiculous reason that my nephew used to live in Seattle. We had chips with the hot dogs...Ruffles...OMG...worth every mg of salt and gram of fat. YUM!

Don't care who wins the game. I watch for the commercials, and because it's one of the few times that I allow myself to indulge in a Nathan's hot dog! YUM!

I'm done modding for now. Time to do some writing of my own. 😎

It's been a weird week.

One of the women in my local writer's group had a stroke on Tuesday while we were meeting at the library. She ended up passing away overnight. It's surreal. She was there, reading us her very dark, edgy true crime story, and then she said, "Call 911, I'm having a stroke. I can't move my arm." She was speaking coherently until the paramedics arrived, then it all went downhill from there. Her son was with her when she passed, which was at least comforting to know.

On Wednesday, a girl I went to high school with passed away very suddenly and mysteriously. I haven't seen her for probably a dozen years or so, but we were good friends once upon a time. I'm left feeling awkwardly sad, and a little guilty that we didn't stay in better touch.

On Thursday, my Nurse Practitioner's office called and told me I had an appointment with the other doctor in the practice. Apparently, my NP left the practice. I canceled the appointment. I only drove that far because I liked the NP. Now, for the 5th time in 8 years, I am left to find a new primary care provider.

On Friday, yet another tooth broke. This is the third tooth to break in the last 6 months. It'll mean another crown. Sadly, not the kind that sparkles on top of my head.

Any time that dark cloud over my head would like to move along, that'd be nice.

No judging while I add a little Jack Daniels to my Coke Zero.

The saying here about rain is that at least you don't have to shovel it to get out of your driveway. 😁 My drive needs a pass but it's cold enough to freeze the proverbial body parts of a brass monkey. And we don't need to get out until Monday when, sadly, we have a family funeral to attend. My middle brother (I am the eldest) lost his wife a week ago.

So sorry for your loss.
