Hey! 😠 Where’s a goodie for me to nibble on, Bear!

Got you covered...

Quote by Chet_Morton
I'm wondering why there have been so few stories published over the past five days: 16, 7, 13, 9, 6.

Just keep in mind that these are numbers of published stories. And if you're counting on the front page, these numbers might not include IF stories. But lest you think mods aren't hard at work, many stories don't get approved on the first pass. On any given day when I am modding, there are typically several that need to be returned for some additional attention from the author.

I was blessed to meet him a few years ago when he was in Louisville. He and his family are really great people! My heart is breaking!

Thank you for sharing, Kat! ❤️

Love you all! ❤️

I thought about this and how much he enjoyed meeting you, too!

Morning Rumpies,

Carl, AKA fuzzy1954, AKA Mr. Lion, has been a true friend to many of us here in Rumpulations Awesome Honky Tonk and Cyber Whatever Bear Feels Like Calling It This Week Bar.

Carl reached out to Bear and me (and perhaps some others?) to let us know that his health has taken a major turn for the worse, and he is in hospice care. He also asked us to share whatever we thought was appropriate with all his pals here.

I wish I could say that Carl will recover, but that doesn’t seem to be what the doctors are saying. He said he has about 30 days. That hurts my heart because he has been the kind of friend who transcends Lush. He’s more than just a casual acquaintance, more than just an online pal. He’s one of a handful or so of people here who know what I look like, as I don’t share my face on Lush for a variety of reasons. He’s someone I trust and who trusts me. He knows things about my kids and grandkids, and he even persuaded me to share a pic of my youngest daughter’s wedding dress. LOL.

I don’t edit stories for people because I don’t have time, between modding and writing my own stuff. But I always have time for Carl’s stories. And he’s always had time for me.

Some years ago, I took a huge break from Lush, and when I came back, he was here, welcoming me, making me feel like I belonged.

6 years ago, I wrote a story for him on StoriesSpace called Thanks Pal. It didn’t win or even place, but it’s still one of my favorite clean stories, even if it’s sweet and silly, and the picture says more than the words.

I don’t know if he’ll be able to check messages, but he said he planned to try. I would think he’d enjoy hearing from his friends here. He’s been a constant fixture, sharing music vids, telling stories about his animals, relating tales of his love life, and just being an all-around great guy.

I may have to start rooting for the Chiefs now, along with the Lions and the Bucs. (Makes a mental note to check Amazon for a Chiefs shirt).

All drinks for the rest of the week are on my tab. MY actual tab, not Bear’s, not Carl’s, not even Ping’s. Let’s drink to the man who has been making us all smile for all these years on Lush and let him know how much he means while we still have the chance.

"May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face. And rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of His hand."

Love you bunches, Carl.

Slainte.

I've got several stories I am working on simultaneously. One of them is for the latest story competition. We shall see if I can get it to be what I want it to be. It keeps morphing.

I am also working on another episode for Mac and Grace, as well as the long-promised The Office Whore Part 60. I can't leave it at 59... LOL!

And, of course, HWH 30 because, again, I can't leave it at 29 parts.

Then there are the two stories I've been writing for several months now. One is a steampunk (not my strong suit), and the other is a story for the occupations genre. Both of these are part of my attempt to make sure I have at least two stories in every category.

So many stories, so little time. But the words are flowing again, so I'm a happy girl!

Heading home from Epcot after a fun day. The first part was HOT and HUMID. The second part was rainy and hot and humid. Lol. But the entire day (and the day before) were wonderful as we had our oldest grandson along with us. He's become quite the daredevil.

With the 20K+ steps I got in both days, I'm gonna snags TWO of those cupcakes. Thanks, Bear!

Stopping by for a Coke Zero. Just finished some modding. Been a busy day helping hubby do some electrical work for our neighbor, making sure to throw a little birthday love my son's way, and taking care of some odds and ends.

Tomorrow, our oldest grandson comes down to visit for 9 days! Looking forward to a couple of days at Disney and then some serious beach and pool time with him. He towers over me, so I'll be feeling very vertically challenged this week!

Good morning, friends, lovers, acquaintences, and all the ships at sea!

I have … an

..... ANNOUNCEMENT!

I've just signed with Columbia University Press to write a book about the invention of a new science: physical oceanography, based on the papers left by my father, who was a pioneering oceanographer.

MS due by June 15th, 2027, which probably means a Spring, 2028 publication date, unless I can get my ass in gear and finish earlier, in which case we might make Fall, 2027.

So, forgive me if my appearances here are a little spottier than before.

Or non-appearances.

Anyway, I'm pleased about that.

Now, what's everyone's pleasure this morning?

Coffee, tea, or something with a little more striking power?

Congrats! I know this was something you've been working toward. Cheers! So pleased for you!! 🥰❤️

Condolences to my American friends. I knew you would probably have a tough game but a 4-1 blowout was not on my bingo card. Oh well, on to 2030, eh.

OOF! It wasn't on my bingo card either. Sighs...

I've done a bit of modding today, but now it's time to hold up in a corner and work on my comp story. I'll take a Coke-Zero, please!

Oof... since neither is a choice, I'll go with Soap Opera over Reality TV.

Corn or flour tortilla?

Yum! I have pneumonia though, so I’ll get that Hershey kiss another time. biggrin

You take care of yourself... I'll take care of that Hershey kiss. 😘

Home from the gym, off to the pool. Gotta burn some calories ahead of Saturday’s big 4th soirée. Coke Zero to go please and thank you.

Many thanks to those who have read Caged. I really appreciate it, especially knowing that BDSM is not everyone’s cup of tea. I spent a lot of time trying to finesse the story so it wouldn’t just sound like a book report of kinky sex acts. So it’s nice to have people read my efforts. 😘😘

I voted earlier to axe it, but now I'm leaning towards keep. Maybe I'm biased, having just met the Prolific Author threshold on my way to eventual Omnium.

I do have a series in progress (It's A Date!) that has been on pause for a couple of years but will belong under Novels. Effectively, Act I is complete (though I didn't realize that's what it was at the time), and I've since plotted out the remainder of a three-act Novella story arc. When I return to it in the next few months, I intend to put all the chapters under Novels, so that it's a cohesive whole in a single place. As I think the Novels category was intended.

Once you have actually written for the Novel category, it seems to make more sense in my book. And if I want people to find my novels based on what they are about, I can add 10 tags per chapter. 😉

Happy Canada Day!

Here's a fun fact I may not have shared before. I have both United States AND Canadian citizenship.

So, in honor of my Canadian roots, put the drinks on my tab today. (and by my tab, I mean Ping's, of course)

Bom Dia! My Brazilian trainer is trying to teach me Portuguese. I know how to greet people...and that's about as far as I've gotten. LOL. Hope all is well here in Lushland, especially with my fellow Rumpies!

We have been praying for some rain, and it finally came in a BIG way this morning. Lots of thunder, lightning, and heavy downpours.

I've been getting ready for our big Fourth of July picnic and have everything set for the big day. Looking forward to celebrating with like-minded people (anti-orange slime folks).

My son met with a specialist yesterday, who is ready to schedule surgery if last week's outpatient procedure isn't enough to solve the issues. He suggested waiting a few weeks to see if something more invasive is needed. But, in the meantime, my son is feeling good enough to function out of bed, and it's done wonders for his mental health.

I have an appointment with the rhinologist who put me on the latest protocol that hasn't helped at all. We will be discussing whether another surgery is the next step or if a different specialist is a better alternative.

Getting very excited about my oldest grandson coming to visit in 12 days! He's flying down as an unaccompanied minor to spend 9 days with us. My heart is so happy.

I'll have a Coke Zero please and thanks! I'm off to mod!

I've been working on a story about a BDSM VRBO in Atlanta. It's almost ready!

I've also been focusing on Mac and Grace as well as Olivia stories.

In there somewhere, I have a couple of purely fictional stand-alone stories that will likely see the light of day eventually. I've been busy trying to keep all the balls in the air lately in real life. But the words are flowing again. And for that, I am grateful.

OOOH, the name changed while I was off busy with RL stuff!

My apologies for missing out on Kimmi's challenge. And for being so on again/off again here on Lush and in the bar.

I'll just leave these cookies on the bar as a means of saying how much y'all mean to me!

Currently making our way around Atlanta on our trek back home. If all goes well we will back to the beach by supper time.

Being the co-pilot is thirsty work. Seems like a good time for a Coke Zero!

I’m in the midst of trying to see if I can still come up with something for Kimmi’s challenge. We shall see!

Today is the last day of my lengthy vacation. A couple of days in Atlanta, then 2 weeks on Mackinac Island, followed by a long weekend in Ontario, were all amazing for the soul. But yesterday we arrived in Tennessee, and I'm blown away by the view from our "glamping" geodome. Hubby had to do some work this morning, so I thought I'd pop in to say hi. Heading home tomorrow and then back to reality. But when reality includes a beach, it's hard to complain.

My son has been dealing with some health issues that make my sinus issues seem paltry by comparison, but he has several specialists now, and we hope that one of the paths will offer a solution, not simply pain management and multiple trips to the ER.

My sinus issues are no better, but no worse. I guess I need to decide if I want to try the surgery that the rhinologist suggested or consult with an infectious disease doctor. I have another month of the current protocol, but honestly...not much has changed. Sigh...

I have been doing some writing here and there. Nothing is ready to publish, but some fun stuff once I have time to devote to writing. I have also been trying to wrap up the latest storyline for Mac and Grace. Grace and I have been debating things...she will likely win...she typically does. It's fun but also somewhat obnoxious to have a character be so bossy. LOL.

Hope all is well with all my Rumpie friends.

Happy Hump Day!

I have 5 or 6 stories at various stages of completion at the moment. But the most recent one I started working on is about our trip to a Bed and Bondage VRBO in Atlanta.

Tru dat! My mind went erotic horror at waterfall guy. I had thoughts of tentacles in the cave, waiting for him. 😳

Oh damn! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Quote by JustForYou

But if we all came to the same conclusions, life wouldn't be as interesting, would it?

Exactly! 😉

Quote by kistinspencil

Getting a pretty strong hetero-allergic reaction to your pics, but I'll try some dill pickles and see if I can get past it.

And bravo for another challenge!

😘

Hmmm… I only saw the mermaid one as hetero. The waterfall guy is definitely bi in my book. 😉

I’m definitely gonna see what I can come up with while on vacation.

Congrats to all the writers in our last competition.

Shout-out to Kimmi & wxt55uk

Struggling this morning. I need a large Coke Zero. Maybe caffeine will help.
