So;
Thanks for the cheers
Thanks for the jeers
Thanks for the years
Thanks for the tears
Most of all thanks for putting up with ten years of my horrible poetry. Nicola would have been justified in sacking the entire category just to keep me from posting more.
Also, in the same month as my tenth anniversary on Lush, I have received my 100,000th page view. To me, that is amazing. I mean, people, you, my friends and thousands of others I never met, took the time to click on the profile of a middle aged man when they could have been spending their time with the lovely ladies of lush.
I am honored.
Actually, I am fucking amazed.
So thank you all.
I have made some incredible friends. Master Johnathan, Buz, Banes, Elizabeth Black and Will. JefferyB, Darkside and Ping. Prinicipessa with whom I’ve written nine stories. If not for some of these friends, Simplicity and I might have deleted our accounts.
Thankfully, that didn’t happen.
There are so many more that a complete list would be painful for others to read. My deepest apologies for any worthy omission.
I’ve met others who were less fond of me or I them, yet most of those I respected even if we didn’t see eye to eye.
I had the opportunity to serve the site as a mod for several years. That was probably the best time I’ve had on this site. I thank Nicola for giving me that chance.
As much I loved being a moderator, that was never why I was here. To me, it was the chance to share my stories that kept me here. I always felt I could tell a good tale, but I never expected to be read by two million readers.
Wow. That number means more to me than my awards and more than my scores. After all, being read is the only reason I write.
Thank you all.
Over these ten years, Lush has changed more than most would believe. We see Lush today as being totally accepting of all lifestyles, but this community wasn’t always quite so accepting. In 2013, I made a quiet forum post asking for a dedicated LGBTQ forum section. Today, no one wood blink an eye at the idea.
A few years ago, I was shocked at how hard some members fought the idea. It was a fight I was very proud to wage, so I’ll share the link below.

Even with the resistance I met to the idea, Nicola and the Moderation team saw the rightfulness of the section and today, there it is. This forever proved to me Nicola’s conviction for fair representation on her site.
Lastly, my time on Lush allowed me to meet the woman who became my wife. Simplicity and I have proven the sparks flying here can light a true, loving fire.
For that, more than anything else, I thank Lushstories and every member of the site.
