No...that is false. I enjoy telling you I told you so.

So... I had this really great, clever idea for a comp entry, and then, well, it just didn't want to be written 😕 (time was most definitely a factor - I didn't have any, and I don't write very fast at the best of times). So I thought maybe I'd write a Micro on the Monday before Christmas just to have something to publish. Only, it very rapidly decided it wanted to be a Flash story instead. And then it thought maybe - just maybe, it might be suitable for a category as it was heading towards the 1000 words mark. And finally, it thought that it might just be able to adapt to the comp theme. So rather belatedly (and definitely not what was originally intended), I bring you Morning Glory - almost, but not quite, an afterthought... 😘.

Merry Christmas to you all, and here's to (hopefully) a better New Year than the last one. It sucked!

well.. I might be in.. I've just submitted my story, in the lap of the Mods now if it gets through in time.. I'm so sorry it's so late, RL decided to throw me a curve ball.. still, better late than never ❤️

Oh tragic, I literally just finished my edit and I swear the button to submit for the competition just went away... I'm still going to submit my story but if there was any way it can be included in the competition submissions I would be soooo grateful. Working on getting it submitted for review right now. Just doing my cover pic

The closing date was midnight GMT and, unfortunately, the lock on all submissions came in moments later. Since it's a system-level change, none of us can override it. The button is missing for me too.

So, Piquet is a master Mistress, Sprites pregnant with Jen’s baby. They are naming it Skittles. And LyfBuz is wasted… again.

I couldn't agree more, Piquet... 😀 And I would just like to add, give every author a chance, read their stories and don't be put off by the standard they write to. There are some crackers in the list. A few that were very "unique" and at least a couple that had me laughing out loud. 😳🤣😊

Agreed! The list of entries might be long, but the stories themselves are short. I have read all of them except for the IF ones. Many are very entertaining.
