WIN $100 in our "April Attention Whore" Competition!

Back by popular demand, is our "Attention Whore" Competition.

The rules are simple, the person with the most UNIQUE profile views in April, will win. The stats are recorded in our server logs, and only unique views count. Visiting your own profile 1 million times, will only increase your unique view count by 1, so don't waste your time!

The idea is to get as many different people to view your profile, as possible.

As the winners have always been women in previous competitions, this time we've decided that there will be 2 x $100 prizes up for grabs, one for men, and one for women.

Although we ultimately end up with other people's profiles and the forums being subtly spammed (!) on the site here, winners in the past have been those who get creative, and promote their profile on other sites / social networks (the likes of Twitter, Facebook, etc).

I've found that this is the one aspect that lets this site down -- too many people vying for attention and uploaded stories by the dozen for no other reason than to garner attention. We should be trying to stamp this sort of behaviour out, not encourage it. It takes too much away from the writing aspects of the site and attracts attention seekers who take all the fun out of it for the rest of us.

The serious writers want to write good stories, not seek attention. Good grief.
