You really can sell your soul.
I wouldn't! There is nothing worth my soul.

Lol - sorry to be a grump! Love you, Trinket!

I pretty much answered in 1800 words right there: https://www.lushstories.com/stories/supernatural/a-tale-in-marrakech.aspx

And answered it well. Great story.

Hey, Trinks (insert hug here). I'll buy your soul. Is it in good condition? What's the mileage? Does it come with a certificate of authenticity? How do I know you're not selling, say, George W. Bush's soul? Cuz that would turn out a little like that frikkin Annabelle doll in The Conjuring, I'm sure.
Feels like I already have, with how much I work lately. But you can't put a price on something as crucial as your soul...so no dice!
For generations our ancestors fought proudly as warriors against the Jedi. Reclaim our armored past for an unending future.
I'm a souless bitch (I have witnesses!). I just have an intellect and an excessive amount of personality.
At the moment, I might be tempted if it would cure my writers block.

absolutely not. my soul is my moral compass, houses my intuition and allows me to empathize. i wouldn't be me without it.

Say. Her. Name.

There is no such thing as a soul, which if there was it would have to exist outside of your brain. Scientifically impossible ! We are organic matter, made of atoms. The brain is the sum total of everything you think you are.
In the world's harsh wear and tear many a very sincere attachment is slowly obliterated.

Science as we know it is still in its infancy. Therefore using science to rule out the existence of a soul is ignorant science. Science should be open minded to many possibilities, many future discoveries, one of which may be your soul.

In the 1800s, most scientist and physicians did not believe in germs either. They scoffed at the theory of germs. Science eventually proved them wrong.

There are way too many things science cannot disprove. There is so much more to be learned and discovered about the laws of physics.

Granted, but scientific method does not advocate belief in hypotheses which cannot as yet be tested and verified. The only reason the concept of the soul even exists in the first place is religion.

Maybe we could work out some kind of time-share deal.

Don't believe everything that you read.

Soul Music! Soul Food!

I wouldn't. It's either not there and I'm being false. Or it's there and the most valuable thing I have.

Though, maybe. For a really good advance on a three book erotica deal.

I don't think that science has any business talking about God or the soul. What properties do they have? How do you measure them? Some things are just faith. And that should be all right, too.

As long as the different faiths make truth claims those are definitely science's business.

I perfectly agree. Not to mention that in the last few centuries, many religions have been desperately veering toward a pseudo-scientific approach to support their claims.

Aren't they the ones making themselves a prime target for science's scrutiny in the first place?

To me something that doesn't possess any perceptible properties whatsoever perfectly typifies something that doesn't actually exist.

I know, I'm weird like that...
