Thursday so soon? How about giving my very first story a whirl then?

"Damaged Goods" came about from a random conversation I had with my neighbour once about how the first words his mate's future wife said to him were, "Fuck off." I thought that was pretty hilarious and, although the ending in this story isn't exactly marriage, I thought forging a relationship on the basis of initial hostility was fun to explore.

It introduced my arrogant ladies' man character, Ryan Noble, for whom I've penned 7.00004 stories so far (the 0.00004 is for his passing mention in "For The Taste Of It") and do have one or two more planned when I get around to it.

As it's a Seduction piece, it does take some build up and it's a big story, but I tried to keep the interest and pace up so the sexual chemsitry developed throughout. Probably showing its age in terms of how I've grown as a writer in four years, but I'm still really pleased with the pub scene and some of the little flourishes to add interest and detail.

I have to admit that I find writing poetry to be a challenge. Haven't done a throwback in a while. This one goes back a ways in my Lush writing career (May 2015) and doesn't get much love, even from its author. I keep forgetting about it, then notice it in my list and give it a read and go, "Damn, that's a fine one." Anyhow, it's a fantasy about a philandering couple roleplaying a fantasy.
