Master phoned on the Tuesday. We had a pleasant but short conversation. My heart was pounding as always. He reminded me about our date for Friday night, seven o'clock pick-up. A white cardboard box arrived Wednesday afternoon. I excitedly opened the box, my eyes aghast at the sight. I didn't see the usual beautiful gown. He seems disinterested in the woman as they walked around. Our eyes meet. It makes me shudder. My thoughts begin to wander as our eyes linger. I wonder if he might be interested in me. The couple moves to another room. The party no longer holds m...
