Happy birthday NymphWriter.

And a huge thank you for all you do around the site.

I was going to submit an entry, but does the morning after have to involve confusion as to what happened or where you are?

It's open to interpretation, as are all our competitions. The more interesting and creative, the better

Apologies for the delay, I'm off to see Mickey Mouse today in Tokyo Disneyland. I've no idea why, but I'm sure it will be a riot.

I would like to see a better app produced that allows you to login as a member and review messages, see your stories and comments, see friends online and replicate more effectively the main site. When I work away I don't often take my own laptop just my smart phone and maybe tablet, so it would be great to be able to access the site on these devices.

I have downloaded the current app which contains the stories but it is essentially a catalogue of them. If there is a cost implication for the development of the app, maybe it could be offered as an advantage to taking out a gold or silver membership to try and maintain it that way.

The APP has been removed from Amazon, and will shortly be taken down completely. It is a huge resource hog, and there weren't enough people using it to make it worthwhile.

What is wrong with using the www version of the site on your tablet? I use my iPad to view the site whilst out and about, and it works perfectly across the board for me. I wouldn't try and use my iPhone / a smart phone to surf any web sites, the screen is far too small and there's too much screen digging involved.
I took so many photos of the Bonsai trees. My favourite was the Japanese Maple, shedding its leaves, highlighting the changing of the seasons here.

The Autumn Sake isn't bad either
Greetings from Japan!

I'm in this beautiful country again, having a holiday before moving back to the UK. Sydney was a blast for close to 20 years, but I felt the need for a change of scene.

I won't be settled until early December, and will have limited internet connectivity until then.

These were taken on my iPhone, so please excuse the quality:

Happy birthday Mr. Flash.

I think by now you know how it should be celebrated

He's one of my favourite Australians.

Thank you for posting the link, the rest of the commentary was interesting too.

More by luck than anything, I've just been polishing up a story which the words "debauched revelry" describe rather well!

So I've submitted it for the comp, and hope it is acceptable.

And there's certainly not a lot of guilt involved. Just a scenario that I enjoyed writing about way too much...

You should be putting out eBooks

Good luck in the competition.
What a great question!

I'm here because my parole officer said I needed to do something good for the community.
Welcome to the site wheelz4legz.

I look forward to reading your stories.

are simple impulsive one night stands accepted too?

Perfectly acceptable!

The image I chose maybe gives the wrong impression, the dalliance doesn't need to end up with guilt.
The Morning After the Night Before Competition

Have you ever woken up in the morning, and wondered where you were, who's bed you were in, and who the person in the bed next to you, is? Nor me!

Competition Theme

This competition has debauched revelry at its core, and is open to interpretation. Morals should be thrown out the window, excesses of all kinds, embraced.

Alright guys, message understood, a new competition will be announced shortly.WrxD944nSqY7yxk6
Does this thread need to continue?

It is clearly an idea which isn't going to make it on to the site, and the thread has derailed.
I enjoyed your first submission here Christina. I'll download your ebook shortly.

It's an interesting idea for a book, and certain to ruffle more than a few feathers I'm sure!

Good luck with making it on to the Best Seller lists!

Chalk that up to another reason why I will never use their products. Absolutely ridiculous. Nic, you could not use your phone as a hotspot? Is that what you were trying to do?

Yes. I used to have to do it via Bluetooth for some reason, but even that no longer works.

I have to get a new phone anyway next month, my iPhone isn't going to work in the UK.
Is anyone else encountering issues between iOS 8 and compatibility with iOS 7?

I updated my iPad this morning, not thinking too much about it. Now it tells me my iPhone 4S (running iOS 7), is an "unsupported device", and I can no longer tether the 2. It was rather irritating finding that out while in the park, trying to check a few things online.

So now my iPad is basically useless unless I'm at home.

It worked perfectly before.

I tried updating my iPhone, but it told me the software was up to date (even though it's running a version of iOS 7).

Great job Apple!
Happy Birthday HRS, nice to see you made an effort for the big day.

Tough audience, sheesh!

I won't repeat what has already been said on a number of the better "Lifestyle" advice sites like this one: http://coupledoingit.com/

The key thing is making sure 100% that it's something you both want to do, and discuss what the ground rules are, before you do anything.

Good luck!
This isn't Vanilla Sky!

We're about to add a Tech Radar type forum, good timing.

Now that you've seen the horrendous pics here, have you gone back to chrome or i.e.?

Different strokes for different folks.

This is an adult site. As such, you will get everything from artistic / softcore / hardcore pics.

I guess we *could* ask members to categories their profile, so those who prefer their erotica more softcore, could choose to not visit those?

That seems like a lot of effort to go to though, particularly when most people come here with their eyes wide open, knowing what to expect.

We have another site, storiesspace.com, which might be more to your tastes, it's mainstream only.

Thank you for your positive feedback.
" 's servers weren't breached"

How would hackers be able to get their passwords then? I don't understand these things

I changed mine anyway, I haven't changed it in 5+ years!

We could maybe do with that "Gizmo" forum you were talking about. Things like this post could go in there, news about the $1000 iPhone 6 etc.

I'm not a competition judge so cannot comment on specifics, but if I were...

- An interesting and original plot line
- An engaging story structure
- Three dimensional characters
- Style, tone and language
- Technical precision with grammar and punctuation
- The overall impression you got from the piece. Was it archetypal and predictable, or was it something that captured your attention from beginning to end? Was it written in a way that allowed you to immerse yourself into a scene? Was it an enjoyable read?

My

That's pretty much it Liz

Add to that, sticking to the competition theme. Some stories had a few lines only about the toys for example, and read as if those lines were added as an afterthought.
This was a tricky competition in terms of the theme, however the judges and I were really impressed by the creativeness shown by participants.

A special shout out to the winner, SITTING, who has been peppering the Top 10 Competition placings for a long time now.

Winner ($200 Store Credits): Lies Larceny and Lust, by SITTING
Second place ($125 Store Credits): Send in the Clone, by RejectReality
Third place: ($75 Store Credits): She Just Wants To Be, by Clum

A huge thank you to all who took part.

Rounding out the Top 10 were:

BARBIE: Life in the Dreamhouse, by Flytoomuch
Illusion, by Buz
Something For Everyone, by Jayne33
Executive Toy, by NaughtyAnnie
The Offer He Knew She Couldn't Refuse, by Rubylove
The Brightest Black You've Ever Seen, by TheScheherezadeFeint
A New Use For An Old Toy, by Nymphwriter

A new competition will be announced shortly.

Cheers,

Nicola

I don't want to derail the topic, so please feel free to let me know if I should start a new thread. Aside from understanding what Amazon does and does not accept, which is very interesting, I would also like to know how to obtain cover art that isn't either copyrighted or that I would have to make myself? Maybe you buy it somewhere?

The safest way is to buy licensed images from sites like shutterstock. $49 buys you 10 images.

As for Amazon, it's a bit of a lottery. I get the feeling they are really tightening up their policies of late, where erotic fiction is concerned.

It is nice to give people the chance to be creative. However, if you give kids crayons, you'll need to redecorate your house pretty quickly.

I love the analogy.

You realise myspace was bought for $580m back in the day? I'd be happy with $5.8m, if anyone wants to buy my baby? ($1m+ offers considered)

Justin Timberlake is now trying to bring it back.
I think that's a bit like

Is it possible to return the site to even 1/3 its former glory? It's such a great domain though. He's got an awkward issue to deal with, in that they have such a monster membership, but the site needs a total design / focus overhaul.

Good luck JT!
