I love books. That's probably the first thing you should know about me. My favourite genres would be crime thrillers and romances (yeah, I know they don't exactly go hand in hand!) but I can literally read and enjoy any type of book someone throws at me. I don't get to curl up with a good book as much as I'd like to anymore which is because I'm either working, staring at a textbook or just reading smut off the net. I have a long list of books I still need to read which are mainly the classics; Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, Jude the Obscure, Wuthering Heights and all those types. I love old books! Call me a nerd, but really! They've stood the test of time and when you really get into them you can see why. On that note I should probably mention my favourite book in the whole wide world, EVER; Thomas Hardy's Tess of the D'Urbervilles. Best book ever! (Even though there are no great sex scenes -_-)In regard to writing erotica; well, I'm more proud of some of my stories than others and I think improving the quality of my writing is still the stage I'm at. I like experimenting with darker emotions and desires. I think we all have a kinkier sexual being inside us and some people are comfortable with letting out that side of them, and some just aren't. (I'm kind of in-between.) I wish my thoughts could easily be translated into words because then my writing would be as awesome as my imagination (which is pretty wacky, tbh!)When I first joined Lush I used to be fussed about how my stories went down and how many votes and views and comments they got but now... I guess I just write for the sake of 'me'. Sounds weird, I know, but if I'm not proud of what I write, I don't see the point in putting it up on here for everyone to read. This is probably the reason why my story production rate is so low!And the real me? Well, I'm just an ordinary kind of girl. I'm not the kind that goes clubbing like every Friday night, and I have a limited experience with guys. I like things that are boring to other people; baking, watching old movies, arts and crafts, gardening. I love singing along to the radio. I like the smell of petrol and nail polish. I love walking in the rain.I like to think. I like solitude at times and at other times I love a good party. People say I work hard but tbh I LOVE what I do! First time you heard an accountant say that, right? Seriously though, I love my job and I love the people I get to see every day. I like being positive because negative emotions just don't do anyone any good. Hopefully you felt better after reading that and if not then you really need to listen to some decent music. I actually had the idea too but wasn't confident in tackling it. I look forward to seeing how you go, if you go through with it. In my mind though, all seven were incorporated into one story.
Ah, I can't resist this one! 1,500 words is going to be a challenge though. Gotta make it snappy! :)
Wow, congratulations! I haven't read any of them yet but I'll be onto it soon! I'm sure they're all AWESOME! :)
What an absolutely awesome person. An inspiration to us all. RIP.
all ONE DIRECTION songs. Especially 'Best Song Ever'. It's like they were trying to be sarcastic with the name.
VAT (the equivalent of sales tax in the UK) is currently at 20%. It's a joke, basically and that's why so many people are constantly evading taxes. The people who get hit hardest are the small business owners - once revenue hits a certain limit (around 70,000 pounds) you automatically have to start paying VAT. And then once you've paid that, you get taxed in what's left in terms of profit at the year end. If VAT was at about 10% so many more people would pay what they had to and the whole system would be fairer and mroe successful.
17th September... instead of 18 which was my birthday!
its open because they cant release those people. Send them home and the courts wont try them, they will go back to their old ways. Cant take them to the US because no US Senator would commit political suicide and let accused terrorists in his voting jurisdiction. So they keep them in the American Gulag... and you know what? thats fine with me. there are enough terrorists fucks out there already. Some of them are cleared for release i.e. THEY ARE NOT A THREAT! http://www.highlandernews.org/9382/the-torture-of-innocents-at-guantanamo-is-reprehensible/
Roulette wheels, poker tables, casino chips, showgirls and cold hard cash. The neon lights of Las Vegas sent out the same rays of attraction night after night, enticing opportunists to come and take on the shrewdly skewed odds. Even the supremely foolish knew they were unlikely to win much, yet the aura of glamour and eroticism surrounding the casinos was too enthralling to avoid. The...

I thought I was one of the smart ones. I was one of the smart ones, at least on an academic level. It was only when it came to guys that I was a complete failure. They should have had a ‘Relationships’ subject at school because some people just don’t get that kind of thing. All they ever taught was not to say ‘Yes’ until you felt ready. What does ‘ready’ even mean? I never felt I was ready....

Wandering through the streets of New York City held some extraordinary kind of romantic, historical, adrenalin-inducing appeal. The energy was palpable; everywhere Ava went something was going on - twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. The architecture came in a dazzling variety; Art Deco skyscrapers stood only minutes away from startlingly nostalgic brownstones. Opportunities to...

ONE WEEK BEFORE THE EQUINOX PARTY Vanessa Allen set down her phone on the dressing table in front of her and stared at her reflection in the mirror. Her skin was too pale; a stark contrast to the dark curls that hung loosely down over her shoulders. She let out a slow breath and leaned back in her chair. Her husband James had just given her another of his infamous ‘working late’ excuses...

“You’re breaking up with me?” I asked softly, my eyes focused on the grey city skyline beyond the bedroom window. “Not… breaking up,” Ivan said uncomfortably. “I just think we should… y’know… have a break.” I literally could not believe the audacity of this man. Here we were, lying naked in his bed on a Sunday morning and he’d chosen now to end our four year relationship. I felt the...

Sadie lay on her side of the bed, alone in the dark room. The curtains were open, streetlamps casting a dim glow through the window, the moon hidden behind a grey cloud. It was a warm night. She could hear the voices and catcalls of people heading home after a night out; their drunken laughs; the odd smash of a bottle. Her eyes flicked to the luminous alarm clock on the bedside table. He...

It was the morning of February the thirteenth and even though he should have been busy with Valentine’s Day preparations, Cupid was bored. Sitting at the breakfast table, he contemplated his situation. Ever since the rise of technology, his job as God of Love had become easier than ever. Instead of having to fire golden arrows to make people fall in love, he just had to press a shiny red...

The nightclub was packed with revellers, all of them in high spirits, all of them dressed to impress. It was the time of night when everyone had got into the swing of things and being New Years Eve, the positive atmosphere was almost tangible. The partygoers on the dance floor seemed to be moving as one; the electric ambience charged no doubt by the mix of dub-step beats pulsing out of...

It was a snowy November evening when Tessa’s roommate Ana rushed into their apartment, positively bursting with excitement as she handed Tessa a flyer advertising the party. “It’s at The Tower.” She’d explained breathlessly, cheeks still pink from the cold, snowflakes dusting the shoulders of her Burberry trench, “You know where that is, right?” Of course Tessa knew where The Tower...

Cass Raven walked slowly through the crowd of guests, smiling occasionally when she saw a familiar face. It amazed her that she barely recognized any of these people. But then again, it wasn’t her party so she wasn’t that surprised. She scanned the crowd of people in search of Leo, but to her disappointment he was nowhere to be seen. Trust him to disappear from his own party . She smiled...
