My tale of a guy in the right place at exactly the right time to witness a voyeuristic bedroom act didn't receive much airtime with readers at its release. Maybe the category isn't well-read. Maybe it was perceived as a bog-standard voyeur tale. Maybe it wasn't fast-paced enough. Who knows, but I enjoyed writing the way it twisted.

I had plans to invite another author to write the story from the female perspective. Maybe highlighting "Window of Opportunity" here will provide the exposure needed for a Lushie to step up and take on the challenge of telling the girls' side, because I think there's a lot of fun to be had with the idea of why they did what they did. To be fair, it was well and truly Thursday here by the time he posted. It's not any more, but since I'm here, and it's definitely Thursday somewhere, I guess I could be talked into blowing my own trumpet...

I wouldn't say I was ever 100% happy with anything I've written (probably never will be either...), but I was fairly happy with this one:

It was written a bit over a year ago, although it's very loosely based on a story I started decades ago (and then accidentally deleted). I reckon it's possibly my best hope of ever getting a famous story (probably sometime around 2030). It's also the only time the title has been more than an after-thought (it appears exactly once in the story...)

BTW - a raddle is a pad farmers tie to a ram's belly during the mating season. It is soaked with a coloured paint so they know which ram mated with which ewe - obviously each ram has a different colour. If Sally was a ewe, her back would be a rainbow...

Not having read it recently, I'm not sure if my entry into the Sporty Sex competition back in the summer of 2016 has stood the test of time, but it came a fairly respectable fifth against some amazing competition and earned a coveted Editor's Pick, of which I'm insanely proud.

With only 12 (admittedly 5-star) votes overall, for a fairly modest runtime of 3.5K words, I'm not entirely sure whether it's the subject matter that isn't of broad interest, the second-person POV, or if it's simply not as dynamic as it could be.
