It looked like it was going to be another successful party. It was nice to see some of the same faces as other years, and not so nice for some others. There has been little change over the years to the roster of village citizens or guests at the party, so I keep my relationship with them as the absentee friend and keep the drinks coming, the ice stocked and the finger foods warm.
